Review: My husband took my vehicle, a 2000 [redacted] convertible to this establishment to be repaired. He dealt with someone named Lowell and Tony, and the car was to be repaired. My husband had been making payments and has receipts for the car to be repaired and stored until the owner or mechanic can make time to fix it. When I began to wonder why the car was still not back in our possession, I started making phone calls and even stopped by the shop on one occasion as few weeks ago. In the middle of the day during the week, I notice no cars were on the lot, and I didn't see my car. I called the number ###-###-#### while sitting out front, and left a message. No one was there, and no one answered the phone or returned my phone call that day. I continued to call back daily for a few days, and still no return call for over 2 weeks. I called again this week, and was not able to leave a message. Finally, I received a call from another phone number, (###-###-####), and explained that I was looking for a status on my car. The person who answered the phone would only identify himself as Tony, and would not give me his last name. He then proceeded to tell me various different stories about the cars whereabouts, ranging from it being "junked", missing, stolen, left on the side of the road off of his property, etc. I told him that I just wanted the car back or to be told where to go to retrieve it. I never received a phone call from the shop about coming to get the car. I called back today, and asked for the key,and he said that the key was with the car, which leads me to believe that the car was stolen and that he knew about the left or is related to the suspect activity and not knowing the location of the car. I tried to get the issue resolved by informing him that I just wanted the car back so that I could have it fixed someone else where they had enough personnel to work on it, but he stated that he didn't know where the car was. I informed him that since the car was in his possession that he had no right to "leave it on the side of the road", as he stated, and further, to leave it with the key in the vehicle. The actions of the company violate any standard business practices, and their actions should be reported and documented.Desired Settlement: I would like the car returned, or if that cannot happen, I want to be immediately compensated for the stolen or missing vehicle for $5,000 by certified or cashiers check due to the fact that the car was mishandled and now is stolen or missing and I have no way to locate it.
