July 28, 2017I am writing in response to paperwork I got from the Revdex.com office via US Postal service.I have enclosed copies of your letter and ** ***’s complaint.We, Zimmerman's Automotive Service, Inc, sold a *** *** to *** *** in February 2017with milesBefore we put a
vehicle on our lot we go over the vehicle and do work on saidvehicle as we feel is needed(copy of Invoice from history *** labeled #2) When we sell a vehicle weprovide a three month/ mile warrantyShe was offered a longer warranty for an additional price.Some customers choose the additional warranty and some choose to go with what comes with thevehicle** *** chose not to purchase an additional warrantyThe next time we heard from thecustomer was July 24th, and the vehicle needed a new alternatorWe told her that the price wouldbe approxand changeShe wanted to supply the part and have us put it on for freeWe told herthat company policy does not allow us to install customer supplied parts for warranty reasonsSheagreed to have the vehicle fixed(see copy of the invoice #3) ln the price we included one hour of labor.Our standard hourly rate is Industry standards say the labor is one hour.We were a lot of other really ugly things said by her about the things she mentions in her review on mywebsite (copy attached labeled #1) as well the letter to youI refuse to get into a word battle with thispersonThe only thing I will mention is, I did not bash the *** dealer mentionedl have a workingrelationship with that dealerWe are both in the same industryI did not allow this to go up on mywebsite because she did not tell the whole storyThis vehicle was driven in a little over 5monthsThis far exceeded the warranty that came with the vehicle(The average mileage driven in theUSA on a vehicle is from 12,to 15,miles per year.)We have been in business since and we have a great reputationWe provide a service for a priceand my customers are happy for that service.I am very sorry that the vehicle cost her money before she wanted it toShe stated it should have atleast lasted a year.I will not refund money for this repairI gave her a very fair price.Have you ever heard of ***? It is a national search engine for costs of repairs on vehiclesIt is freeto the motoring public and takes into mind the cost of living in different areasPlease see my responsebelow to ** ***.Hello ***,Thank you for the reviewI apologize for the experience you hadBefore you bought your vehicle, wereplaced B number of the high dollar items on the vehicleSome of these items include the tlmlng belt,water pump, and head gasketThese items were things that were due by mileage and to be done beforeselling for best practicesIf you had paid for this as a customer, the retail value is about $2,000.Unfortunately, a battery and alternator are items that go bad suddenlyFrom my understanding, thebattery was bought at Walmart and that is when you noticed the smoking from the alternatorWe didnot replace the battery for you but we would have been happy to do soWe were only made aware ofyou having an issue with the vehicle this week when you brought it inYou were only charged for hourof labor not Our hourly rate is $101.65, as I told you on the phoneAfter purchasing the vehicle fromus in February, you drove the vehicle for nearly 12,milesThe yearly average that a family drivestoday is 12,000-15,miles.We are a *** certified shop, and I researched your vehicle and the repair we made on your vehicleon their Fair Price EstimateThe estimate ranges from $426-$without taxes or fees (please see thisestimate here *** )Your final bill, with taxes, was $If wehad charged you pricing it would have cost you $You did receive a discount of $99.12.We are not the cheapest repair shop around but we will not risk the safety and well-being of ourcustomers and their families by installing lower quality partsWe do not lie to our customers and I amsorry that you feel as though you were "lied" to or "***”We are very transparent on our pricingand are happy to discuss our pricingWe do this because that is how we would want to be treated.Like I said to you on the phone yesterday afternoon, lfyou have any questions, please give me a call.###-###-####.JudyIn conclusion, Thank you for listening to my side of this story
