Good Afternoon,I spoke with [redacted] yesterday and informed her that we had ordered a new skylight because we have determined that it is a defective skylight I told her we could come out on Friday after Noon to install the new skylight for her, since that is when the new one was coming in She told me that she was not available on Friday, July 7th due to a medical appointment that she could not change We then changed her appointment to Monday, July 10th after noon for her convenience As soon as the new skylight in installed, I will follow up with another email so that you know the work has been completed.Thank you!Kristin S [redacted]

As with any business that has been in business for over years, sometimes no matter what you try to do to satisfy a customer, they are just unsatisfied. Unfortunately this customer is falsifying the ACTUAL FACTS of the matter in questionWe would like to take the time to respond with the
truth about the situation;We completed a roof for this customer on 10/6/2014, per the contract and the warranty that you were given, you are required to have the roofing maintenance every years to keep the warranty in effectAS per guidelines we attempted to contact the number we have on file multiple time to remind you of the maintenance that was dueAfter we left numerous voicemail on the number, we mailed out the coating card-which we supplied them a copy with to their address.If you do not have the roofing coated every years, the warranty becomes void - it is like changing the oil in your car, the maintenance must be completedThe coating is completed at an additional cost to you just like you were told before we installed the roofing back in We gave you a price of $ originally to have the coating completed and because we value our customers, we took an additional $ off of that price, making it $ (not $1,000.00).From the date that we installed the roof in to current you have not called with a leak complaint until now and the reason you are having a problem is because you need the maintenanceThis was all also spelled out on the warranty that you received in I also attached a copy in the email that I sent to you on Friday.If you have any further questions, you can contact the office.Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: After consulting another roofer, It is my understanding that the roof was installed incorrectly. Union Roofing has contacted me stating they would come out to fix the problem after all. They never showed up. A new roof does not leak in years. A silver coating is an extra protection. This roof should not be leaking.

November 29, 2016To Whom it May Concern:I am responding to the above listed ID numberI have read the complaint, and my response is as follows;Union Roofing Contractors, Incdid in fact install roofing in July of to *** ** *** ***, Philadelphia, PAWhen we do an initial estimate the
customer is given an estimate based on what we can see BEFORE WE REMOVE the roofingThe customer is made aware that the price might increase due to further damaging of the roofing that is underneath the existingWhen we quoted *** *** originally, his price was $3,600.00, however after removing the existing roofing it was seen that the roof at *** ** *** needed 1/2" recovery board insulation to be installed, along with roof vents so that the roof wouldn't become moist again thus causing damageHis price increased to $4,for this additional workThe Customer agreed to have the work completed and we have completed that work in fullWhile there we also told *** *** that the skylight that was on the roof would compromise the integrity of the new roofing that we were installing because it was old- we gave him a huge discounted price of $for the skylight- that price is labor and material only to install the skylight, no additional overhead nor profit was added onto the skylight.When we spoke to *** *** to correct the brace on the downspout last week on Wednesday, he was instructed that we would be calling him around 6:00AM to give him an appointment timeHe was further informed that he would need to be on the propertyIt is our policy that if a customer has a complaint about the job, we call and schedule a time to meet them at the property so that we can rectify the issue so that we can ensure the Customer is happy.Unfortunately, we are not in a position to further discount the skylightAs stated above the skylight was installed at 'cost"*** *** can rest assure that his roof carries a Year Guarantee and if he has any problems at all, he should contact the office at ###-###-####.Thank you for your help with this matter.Kristin S

The skylight needed to be replaced It would of compromised the roofing work that we had just completed We understand that you feel it is unfair that you had to have the skylight replaced, but we did not construct your house- we showed the compassion that we felt for you by discounting the skylight tremendously. First, after I sent the second attachment from my previous response they conceded that the provable incorrect statement was not true While they currently state "We are not in the business of deceiving people" they now acknowledge that their statement to the Revdex.com that "The warranty is NOT on the reverse side of the contract" was not true when they now state that as of February of "...the warranty is now on the reverse side..."
Second, it is impossible for me to prove that we were not given a warranty; just as it is impossible for them to prove that they did give us one since they state the alleged document is not signed or acknowledged by the customerBut the language on our 7/15/contract (Attachment one from the previous response) clearly states that "The entire contract is contained herein, and there are no other covenants, agreements, representations, understandings, warranties, or promises, express or implied"I think that this statement that there are no other warranties speaks for itself! In addition to these clear words I repeat, do you really think that I would make up a folder and keep every piece of paper from the 7/15/contract including the Mastercard payment form and not bother to put the most important piece of paper, the warranty, in it if I had been given it? Attachment one from my previous response represents everything the Union Roofing gave us on 7/15/2004. There was no communication of any type regarding any conditions of our year guarantee on our porch roof. That Union Roofing would fight this hard over what amounts to about feet of flashing does not speak well for them as a company. And we will not pay them $1,or any amount of money to have them honor their contract

Union Roofing installed new main roof on 10/6/14. Per contract you must have the Reconditioned and Coated every years. Currently out of Warranty. As a courtesy today repairing the roof from not leaking. You must have the Top Main Roof Reconditioned and hot coated by 4/1/to reinstate warranty

On the date of 10/21/2016 The Supervisor installed a new Piece of under flashing where piece was damaged. Also, Checked the rest of the roof to make sure no leaks where able to occur. Everything on the roof is now good to go.

The skylight was replaced, however it has not rained to prove that it was installed correctly or if this skylight is also defected.  I have spoken to my insurance company concerning the internal damage to my home from the faulty install or defected skylight installed by Union Roofing.  Once they come access the damage and my home is restored it will be completed.

September 13, 2017To Whom it May Concern:Our Head Residential Supervisor Frank L[redacted] Jr went out to [redacted]'s property on 9/12/2017 and installed a New Main Roof that comes with a 15-year guarantee. Originally we had installed a coating only to the main roof.The original cost of the new main...

roof was $3,600.00, we gave [redacted] a credit back of $1,200.00 towards the new main roof, thus the total cost was $2,400.00 for the new main rubber roof. We sent over the before and after pictures to [redacted] as well.If you have any further questions please contact us at [redacted]Thank you,
