Glen's Towing

Review: My car broke down nearby and was towed to this shop. When the mechanic, [redacted], checked the car he said the starter needs to be replaced and quoted me $360. After he replaced the starter and the car still wouldn't start he said that the AC compressor needs to be replaced and said that for additional $150 he can get a functioning used part and install it. I agreed and left the car in the shop. 1 day after I picked up the car, the AC stopped working and I heard a scraping noise from the AC compressor. When I arrived at the shop again and spoke to [redacted], the owner, he said that I was never promised that the AC will work and that I should be happy that he got the car driving again for a total of $540. He wouldn't listen when I tried to explain that [redacted] had promised that the AC will work, and said that to get the AC working I would have to pay extra for a new compressor and additional labor, a total of $400.Desired Settlement: The shop should honor their original promise to get the AC working for the original price that was quoted - $540.
