Regards,
[redacted]Dear [redacted]KSL's response is a complete fabrication with the exception of admitting to the necessity of multiple service calls after they replaced our existing skylights and roof.KSL never mentioned in any conversation that tree branches caused damage to the roof. Is it their contention that branches fell in such a way as to cause the same damage to each skylight? There are trees on 2 sides of our home which never created any problems for our original roof and skylights installed in 1991 and lasted until 2009. Two of the largest trees were taken down in 2013 to allow more sun on the deck below. At no time has another contractor performed repairs to our skylights or roof nor has any employee from KSL's multiple service calls ever voiced this suspicion. Several years ago, I applied caulk around the skylights in a futile effort to stop the leaking after KSL had made one of their service calls which did not correct the problem.Respectfully yours,[redacted]New information provided by the customer: Subject: Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID #[redacted]Dear Ms. [redacted],After receiving 3 separate estimates of the cost to repair our roof and skylights, please revise our estimate to $9,036.00 which is an average of the three quotes plus the cost to replace the 2 ruined mattresses. We also now have several pictures of the damage clearly showing the bellying behind the skylights and the improperly installed shingles.Thank you for your consideration of this matter.Sincerely,[redacted]

In response to Mr. L[redacted] remarks I would like to comment on them. First of all he was suppose to do the roof, take down the existing deck, put up downspouts an gutters. put up the structural posts. take out a door on the upper level which was a balcony door and remove it along with fixing it inside the house with drywall.  Do the electrical, let me explain. there were two lights one above the balcony and lower level on front door light that was to be removed and taken out, then put electrical  lights in the ceiling of the new roof when built. I had bought all the materials for Mr. L[redacted] to do the job. The total of 4500. I had given him 3500. Theonly thing that he did was the roof downspouts and gutters, which mind you they leak and are not put on correctly. the downspouts when they left did not deter the water away from the house and my basement flooded because of it. Why does Mr. L[redacted] think he deserves 3500 when he never finished. he states that he came to my house three times after we had talked on the phone about the deck options. Mind you he agreed to the change. When he had given me the bid of 800 more dollars I had asked him if he could do it for less say around 500. he also had agreed to that. I have texts to prove it all. the joke about the [redacted]. he made a  s tatement that he was going to be in the area that day and I offered to buy him lunch at dairy queen. no he wanted a blizzard. that is how it got started. He had only come to my house once after the changes were made. brought gordon with him. My brother in law was there and witnessed it all. If Mr. L[redacted] had no intenetions on wanting to finish the job then why did Mr. L[redacted] asked me for more money? I had told him I would not until the job was completed. He rambled on something about the state of pa and one third down then two thirds and then final payment. It's so  ironic that he is worried about pa laws but yet would never give me a contract which is pa laws. Which is required by the state of Pa. And I did not ask my sister for the money. I had told him that my sister and I were talking and she was going to give me the difference of 1100 as a gift to help her little sister out.  He had also stated that the roof was done the next day. That is definitely not true at all. Like my original complaint they were late the first day because mr. l[redacted] slepted in. did not come on tuesday. wednesday a young man came and tore down the front deck. they never started on the roof till later part of that week and was at my house the following week as well for a couple days. Also the roof is held up by 2 by 6 not 2 by 4. What was said to me by some contractor was that they should of put 2 by4 attached to them so the 2 by 6 won't bow. Mr. L[redacted] thinks they did a great job but in reality that is not so. It is not by no means so why would Mr. L[redacted] think he deserves 90 percent of my money? I have all the texts to prove everything including him saying "I' can do that for you". Please don't be mad at me"  TRying to find someone to do the block work my guy has broken  his leg from quad.  Another text: Finally cleared up I'm comin to see you tomorrow don't hate me i'm not blowing you offso  lets make a game plan. I could go on and on with the texts.I totally do not agree with Mr. L[redacted] response. he is not entitled to keep my 3500 . The work was never completedRegards,[redacted]

In response to Mr. L[redacted] is totally incorrect. I did not change my mind 3 times and make more complicated work. when I asked Mr. L[redacted] about changing the deck to cement he was totally aware of what I wanted. He totally agreed with it and also the block work. IF he did not want to proceed with the job then why did he bring a cement guy to my house and discuss the cement.  and why did Mr. l[redacted] demand more money from me. and when I told Mr. L[redacted] that I would not give him anymore money till the job was finished he came into my face and said pa laws you have to pay one third  down to start. I gave him more than half of the money for the job. Was Mr. L[redacted] planning on taking the rest of my money and never coming back. Why would he wanted more money if he was not planing on coming back? The employees when they left  they did not deter the downspouts to go away from the house only for the water to go directly into my basement . The gutters both leak and he is aware of it also. When they held up the roof with 2 by six lumber they didn't bother to put a 2 by 4 so the 2 by 6 does not bow and my roof will begin to fall. I do not want him or his employees back in my home. I am requesting full refund back to me. He did no way any 3500 worth of work. I had bought all the materials that was agreed upon. If Mr. L[redacted] does not agree then we will be going to civil court. I will be asking for damages along with what it will cost for me to finish the job if he does not refund my money. I have witnesses along with texts from Mr. L[redacted]. I have tried to work with Mr. L[redacted]. Been very patient. Tired of his excuses.  He walked over the job over two months ago.

Unfortunately this was a small oversight on our part.  The customer has been contacted and we were able to go out and re-adjust the flashing and the problem has been corrected.  Customer was told if she has any problems to contact us.

Attention [redacted]:complaint # ID...

[redacted]I am rejecting the companies response for the following reasons:1. Kurt, the company owner and installer of the new roof, never came to my residence to inspect the roof. Instead he sent two employees who were told to fix the leak above the front door.    That is the only problem they worked on.2. The rotted plywood on the corner of the enclosed porch that was never replaced during the original roof job in 2009 was again not replaced. The worker told me they didn't have Kurts  permission to do that.3. I also have a leak halfway up the ceiling which started about 18 months ago, and a couple of other leaks that started 1-2 months ago.  The worker told me he could not find out where the leak was coming from    so he did nothing.I told the worker to tell Kurt that I still needed the problems taken care of.   I was expecting a follow up call about the work and if I was satisfied but never received it.  I was surprised to get the letter fromthe Revdex.com because not all of  the problems have been corrected.Thank you, [redacted]

ID [redacted]Attention: [redacted]In response to the letter dated 10/20/2016.  Michelle, from KSL Plumbing and Remodeling Inc., contacted me October 19. I was told that Kurt would come to my home sometime the week of October 24. Michelle informed me that he planned to spray water on the roof to see if it leaked.  I heard nothing from Michelle the next week so on Friday October 28, I called Michelle to find out why Kurt didn't arrange to check the roof as planned.  She explained that he was really busy with work and family issues but assured me that I was "on the board" to be seen.  I then told Michelle that, with the recent rain, I have fresh water stains on my ceiling. So as of this point Kurt has not been to my home since he put the roof on in January 2009, in spite of numerous calls yearly on my part to have the problems addressed.  I am extremely stressed over this. I had thought that in getting a new roof put on, I would not have to worry. Instead I now have water leaks in places I didn't have before and years of unanswered calls. It will soon be 8 years of frustration. I just wish that, at this point, Kurt would return the $3,600 that I paid him so that I can break off any further communications with this company, and put it towards the cost of hiring someone else to replace the entire roof. Who knows what damage has been done to the plywood under the shingles, to the insulation and ceiling tiles after years of water seepage. For all I know there could be black mold growing and every time I change ceiling fixtures, I'm breathing in spores.[redacted]

DBA KSL Plumbing Inc.229 James St.Latrobe, PA 15650724-539-1200 [office] 724-972-3747 [cell)PA 00655111/4/15To whom it may concern:fn response to a complaint made by [redacted] Greensburg, PA. We first initially got a call from [redacted] and made an appointment at her house to look at some work she wanted done. The work consisted of the following: removing an existing front deck and porch roof from the home ar.d constructing a new wood deck with a roof over. This would consist of us setting load bearing support-posts between the new deck and the porch roof after all construction was complete. Once agreed upon I prepared an estimate which we brought on the first day of work at [redacted]’s home to find that [redacted] had changed her mind and wanted to do a concrete pad instead of the wooden deck. So now we are removing existing structure and building the porch roof. We had this finished the following day and [redacted] paid in full for the porch roof portion of the job. She was trying to see if her sister would [end her the money for the difference of the concrete upgrade. Now while she is deciding I experienced an overwhelming amount of text messages and phone calls from [redacted] with many different ideas she was coming up with. I then went to her residence three times going over what KSL was willing and able to do. [redacted] basically told me now she did not want the concrete to be laid on the ground as normal because she did not want a step to the front door. She now wanted decorative block perimeter installed, the entire porch hole filled in with tons o^fill, tamped solid, a bed of gravel installed and the concrete now poured in this area. [redacted] also insisted that I do all this extra work for $500.00. I shrugged it off as oh yeah, sure. It even became a joke between us that she would give me $500.00 and a blizzard from [redacted] for It. She states that her porch roof is supported by lumber, yes the porch roof is supported with 2x4 framing lumber and secure. This was because we built the porch roof over anticipating that after the deck was constructed that we were then gohg to install load bearing aluminum posts which [redacted] in fact ordered and called me because she ordered them to short knowing she needed them to be longer because they would be going to the ground, not an elevated structure. We simply were helping [redacted] the best we could and the fact of the matter is we built the porch roof which is very well done and were only paid for this part of the project. We at KSL like to help everyone we can but we do not feel comfortable with [redacted]'s project layout, we would rather not attempt something we are unsure of. We have no hard feelings with [redacted], we Have helped [redacted] from day one and we ask [redacted] to find somebody who is comfortable with installing the concrete per her request. She still has the remainder of her money, aside from the porch roof, to finish this project with. Sincerely,Kurt [redacted]

Upon the complaint filed we went to [redacted]'s house to fix the issue.  We were unaware that there was still more concerns but we are calling her today to get this complaint resolved for her.  Thank you.
