Here is my response to complaint# ***Thank you for an opportunity to express our side of this complaint. While performing a NYS DMV safety and emissions inspection on The Wilson's Dodge Journey, my Tech observed that the rear brake rotors were severely rusted on the inside of each
rotorThis is caused by the brake caliper not sliding on the slide pins due to corrosionThis not only causes the rotors to rust but the brake pads do not wear evenlyThis also means that the rear brakes were not operating to full capacityMy tech informed our service writer of the situation and Mr*** chose to have the brakes and rotors replaced. The inspection process was suspended and the repairs were made. Once the repairs were made the inspection was resumed and the car passed To complete the job, the tech drove the vehicle for a test driveHe noticed that the brake master cylinder felt like it was moving too far before actual braking would occurThis would have required more trouble shooting and possibly a new master cylinderWhen our service writer informed Mr*** of this he decided that it was fine as it was not going to cause his car to fail inspection. As for anybody saying anything about the car needing a drive shaft, that iscompletely inaccurateNothing was ever said about a drive shaft . As far as the day temporary sticker goes, nosuch item existsNYS DMV will only issue a day extension for emissions only, not safety items. Customer states that they did not need brakesI disagreeI have the old rotors and pads and all of the paperwork stored in our evidence locker. When the customer called to complain, I explained all of the above to her. She said she was right and we were wrong and she was calling the Revdex.com and we would never see her car again and hung up on meI was not even given the chance to resolve the issue. If you need any more info or have any questions call the shop at 607-734-Thank you again for this opportunity, Sincerely,Gerald *** GLF Performance LLC

This is my husband ***'s response to Gerald *** comments. As far as the drive shaft goes, my wife misspoke about that. I think we had a major communication problem, my problem is not with the brakes, I went along with that. I was also informed I needed a right rear tire and I assumed in order to pass inspection I needed to replace, I disagreed with that and they let it go. After the brake job and inspection it was taken for a test drive. Upon return I was told it needed a master brake cylinder and the brakes were in perfect working order when it went into shop. At this point I didn't know what to believe, I felt like I was really being jerked around. To date my master cylinder is just fine as well as my tire. The way it was presented to me was misleading and overwhelming at that time. I went in for an inspection. I agreed with what was done with the brakes, but all other problems should be listed and shown to me as recommendationsFor years I have taken my cars to Paul Bennett's. I have recommended his garage to friends and family because of their honestyFYI customers do not like to feel like a fool. Also was not offered to step back and see the problems listed aboveIt's a shame things had to start out this way under new managementPS: I had my tire and my master brake cylinder checked by my usual mechanic and they were both fineThanks, *** ***
