Glitz and Glam Spa and Boutique Reviews (1)

On 10/16/15 I went to Glitz and Glam salon for a manicure, pedicure, and color. The polish from my manicure and pedicure was bubbled, chipped, and coming off the same day. After my color was done there were still greys uncovered. I also took a hair piece to be styled in my hair. My stylist dropped it 2-3 times on the floor in a previous clients cut hair. She apologized and said that the floor was clean, then proceeded to put the unsanitary hairpiece in my hair. I was in the salon from 10 am to 2:45 pm. I sat for a little over an hour while my stylist did another clients hair. I had to leave to pick my daughters up from school. The stylist hadn't finished my hair and asked me to come in the next day. The next day I showed the stylist my damaged manicure and pedicure. It was done again, and my hair was finished. The same day the polish was bubbling, ect. The following day I called the salon owner and complained about the greys in my hair that were not covered with my color, the manicure and pedicure that was damaged, fixed and damaged again, how my hair piece was dropped on the floor and in another clients hair, and how I had sat for over an hour. She suggested that I come back in for a third time. Having been in the salon two times already to get them fixed, I did not want to go in for a third time. I asked for a refund and the owner of the salon said that she would only refund me for my manicure. I told her that I could provide her with photos proving that both manicure and pedicure polishes were completely damaged two times. And I could show her that my greys were uncovered. She proceeded to tell me that she didn't want to talk about this further. She raised her voice, told me specifically about her personal problems concerning family members with health issues, and eventually hung up on me. After unsanitary conditions, unprofessional service, multiple mistakes, unfair treatment from the owner of the salon ([redacted]), I would just like a refund.Product_Or_Service: Manicure, Pedicure, and hair color. Order_Number: N/AAccount_Number: N/ADesired Settlement As previously stated, I would like a refund.Business Response I have noticed that information sent for this case shows it was sent prior to this date. Today is the first day I have even received information about this complaint. As far as the customer and her feeling our business provided her with unsatisfactory services I am sorry she feels that way I have called her personally numerous times trying to rectify this situation not to mention I am the addressee for this matter and I did not provide any of the services pertaining to this matter but I did try my best to speak to this client and meet her every need but it was very far from easy. The first day the client arrived she had her hair colored and then mani pedi after her hair being washed the client then went to the restroom and messed up her nails after being told numerous times that polish does indeed take longer to dry than other polishes . She came back and went over to our staff member to continue her hair services our nail technician (co owner of this business) walked over to finish up and saw that the client had messed up her thumb nails so the nail technician told her no big deal at all that she would fix them but to please be careful because it would take a while to dry this polish. The next day the client came back to shape up her extensions to to time limitations that she had. She came back late (over 30 minutes) from the time she had scheduled with the stylist and her hair was finished shaping and she requested that the stylist have the nail technician fix the same nails again so the nail tech did and suggested the same to be careful until completely dry. She left happy and no complaints. A week later the phone rings at glitz and glam and[redacted] answered the person on the phone refused to speak to[redacted] the co owner of the business and the only business owner in town when she called[redacted] tried to speak to her and asked very politely if she could help her in anyway she said no she would call back. She called again and left a message for the other owner to call her back and the day the other owner ([redacted]) (myself) arrived back in town she called her immediately. She told me about 2 individual strands of grey hair that did not show color, that her mani was bubbling and that her hair piece was dropped. I told her immediately how sorry I was that she was not satisfied and that if she would like to come in I would like to see her hair and nails . She refused. She said all she wanted was her money back because she was going through a terrible divorce. I told her I was sorry but she never once mentioned anything to the stylist or nail tech about being unhappy at all while she was in the shop. The second day she came in she never mentioned anything about her hair being accidentally dropped or that there were 2 individual strand of grey showing. When her hair piece was dropped the station was sanitary and her hair piece was disinfected as well prior to putting in her hair. Each stylist is required here to sweep and sanitize between each and every client. We are inspected by the state board as well and our grade shows our sanitation is more than up to par. Our stylist and nail tech are individual booth rental, but when this matter was brought to my attention I was more then willing to handle it in any way possible. I spoke to the nail tech and stylist about this complaint and told the client I would refund her manicure in cash and gladly fix the two strands of hair myself. She refused to come to the shop and said she wanted a full refund even though she left the shop completely happy with her services and never meantioned any issues with her hair and returned the next day and never meantioned [redacted] issues with her hair, I feel that someone who truly deserves a refund should be someone who is completely I satisfied with someone's work and someone that is not willing to come into the business to resolve the issue obviously does not want the issue resolved. She would not I even agree to come in and pick up the refund for the manicure. When I feel that is more then generous to be refunded with just being unhappy about polish messing up. Thank you
