There was inadequate communication between [redacted] the Glizty Girlz owner and I from the beginning of my child attending her camp. As a result; these are my grievances with the Glitzy Girlz Camp and how things were handled regarding my childs experience: no schedule or agenda, transportation (regarding legality/safety), inadequate communication of curriculum, wardrobe requirements, movie choices, field trips, and confrontational behavior. I repeatedly asked for a schedule so that I would be abreast on the activities my child would be exposed to and participating in. The owner refused to oblige, and seemed to be offended by my every query. Had I been provided with a schedule or some type of agenda a lot of questions may have been answered. The field trips seemed as if they were a spontaneous thought, leaving us to plan and budget for last minute decisions. And I would be remiss if I did not mention, the occasion upon which my child was released to an unknown (to [redacted]/her staff) adult from whom they did not require identification or even ask to sign out upon picking her up.Inappropriate titles such as; Drumline, Final Destination (shown twice even after I notified the owner my child could not sleep after seeing it), a Tyler Perry film, and Friday, have been shown at a camp where 6 year olds attend. As far as field trips, I have no idea what skating rink my child went to, or by whom she was transported. My child did not eat lunch the day the camp went to the movies. Lunch was not served. I was informed a day prior to the movie that my child needed to bring snacks that the owner instructed her to put in her purse. I sent my child with M&Ms, chips and a juice, which is what she ate in place of lunch. Unacceptable! Business Response thank you for the opportunity to preserve my business goodwill and reputation and an opportunity to address the complaint filed by Ms. [redacted]. At the end of May 2015, Ms. [redacted] was one of many parents that contacted me about enrollment for her daughter to my Glam Camp. On June 1, 2015, I emailed Ms. [redacted] the information about my camp, that she requested and informed her is she had any questions or concerns that she could contact me via phone, email of in person. I never heard anything back from Ms. One until June 19,2015, when she showed up to my to my place of business, asking whether of not, if it was too late to enroll her daughter for camp. Upon meeting Ms. [redacted] in person I was kind of hesitant about accepting her application, especially when she informed me that she had her daughter enrolled at the [redacted] the prior week, and she had several problems with them, and that her daughter had broken her leg there and was in a cast for the next 6 week.I must admit, that I had concerns about accepting her child due to her having limitations with some of the planned activities and so I address my concerns with Ms. [redacted] as I explained my camp agenda and activities. Ms. [redacted] stated that her daughter would be fine, so then I express to her that I would have to utilize my discretion, to those things, that I felt could be unsafe or uncomfortable for her daughter to do. Ms. [redacted] agreed and processed to ask me, if I would discount her price, due to her daughter wasn't starting until mid-week. Admittedly, I was baffle to be ask for a discount, because I'm one of the lowest price camps in [redacted] But I nicely informed, Ms. [redacted] that I could not discount her price because my price was low already. But against my better judgement, I went ahead and accepted her daughter into my camp. Ms. [redacted] left and returned the next day with her daughter. That morning, Ms. [redacted] inform me that she was a teacher, and had to worked several camps and was wondering would I hire her part-time, I politely declined her and informed her that I had selected my staff already. Every morning after, Ms. [redacted] would bring daughter, and delay me in starting my activities with the girls, due to her have problem with an activities planned, field trip cost or requested supplies. She would never adhere to follow instructions or provide the complete supplies requested, but she never informed me that she was dissatisfied with my services, but she would always critique my camp, and she would always compare/ questioned my agenda and activities for the girls, my staff,and business practices.To address the issue that her daughter did not eat at my camp, I receive & my provide breakfast, Lunch and snacks to the girls through the [redacted] School food program, where nutritional fresh food was provided on a daily basis, and often personally provided additional extra treats such a pizza, corn dogs, cookies and waffles. I run a small group camp, so my staff and I can give each girl the personal attention and details that they deserve. [redacted] attended my camp for 3 weeks until, a disagreement that her mom & I had and a Vest, that was needed for my Creative design class, where the young ladies was to glam and bedazzled a jean vest, with rhinestones, paint, beads, glitter, feathers, and buttons, etc. these was things I provided, but the patents provided the vest. Ms [redacted] was informed of this at the time of enrollment, because this was an essential part of my camp finale for the runway fashion show and completion graduation for the girls. Ms. [redacted] insisted that her friend or family member would make [redacted]'s vest. I explained to her that it was not fair to [redacted] due to the other girls was creating their own design, and didn't to seen to want to make a difference between the girl and as disrupting my class curriculum. Ms. [redacted] became disgruntled when I told her, that I couldn't allow it, she stated that I didn't have to worry about her child and call her daughter to come on that they were leaving and walked out saying that my camp was some b[redacted]. From that day, I never heard from Ms. [redacted] or saw [redacted] again.I've been in Business for 3 years now, I have serve many families & their precious you ladies , I have has to deal with a few displeased parents, but I have always been approachable and respectful toward my clients and resolved any issues that my customer may have had. Many of my clients are repeated business or referrals, majority of my camp attendees are young ladies that I have done spa parties for or have attend one of my any events throughout they years. So I am familiar with them and they are familiar with me. I take great honor and pride in positively touching each girl's life that I encounter. I know that I cant please everyone, but I do try hard to find a peaceful & positive way to resolve conflict It really sadden me that Ms. [redacted] as unhappy with my camp, and wish her and journey the best. [redacted] was a real delight to work with and I really enjoyed working with her and having her in my camp.
