Review: I had placed an online order with GLO Science on 7/**/13 under the order #[redacted]. At the time of purchase, the company website had a return policy of 100% money back guarantee “30 Day Return Policy.”

I received the item on 8/*/13. After trying it for 22 days, I called in on 8/**/13 to advise Glo Science that I was not satisfied with my purchase and would like to return it. [redacted] had verbally approved my return and asked that I physically return the item back upon receiving my shipping label. The prepaid shipping label was to be mailed to me per our conversation that day and as stated on the company’s return policy: “GLO Science will send return labels to Continental U.S. addresses only.” However, this was never mailed to me as discussed.

After having waited for a while for the prepaid shipping label, I called in on 9/*/13 to advise GLO Science that I never received the prepaid shipping label as promised. [redacted] then put in a request on 9/*/13 for a prepaid shipping label. Before I left town for my vacation on 9/**/13, the label has yet to arrive in my mail. When I came back into town 9/**/13, the label was in my mail and I retuned the item to Glo Science the following day on 9/**/13.

Since then, [redacted] has informed me that Glo Science will not be crediting my account for the returned item based on the fact that it falls beyond the 30 days. I had informed the company of my dissatisfaction in their product and wish for a return within the 30 day period.

The company’s practice of not shipping the return label promptly and thus forcing the client to mail the return item back outside of the 30 days and then denying the return based on the Company’s delay is an unethical practice and one that no client should have to bear. I have made several honest attempts to return the item back to the company as soon as possible on my side and would have met the 30 day requirement if their were no delays made by Glo Science.

[redacted] also stated other reasons for why the company will not return my money. This includes such reasons as my having used the item. There is no statement in their “30 Day Return Policy” as advertised on their website that I could not use the item and if so, to what extent. She also stated “some of the components are missing.” Again, there is no statement in their “30 Day Return Policy” as advertised on their website that all components must be returned. The only components that were not returned in this case were the plastic bag covering some of the larger components and were necessary to remove in order to use the item. The plastic containers that contained the whitening gel were also discarded after use as this was not meant to be items for keep. All other items were returned.

For all of the reasons above, Glo Science has forced me to fall out of their return policy time frame and wanted me to meet other requirements that are not explicated stated in their return policy in order to receive the credit. This is unethical advertising and practice.Desired Settlement: A refund on my purchase price of $239.00.

GLO Science has received [redacted] complaint and appreciates the opportunity to respond. [redacted] claims that GLO Science does not adhere to our 30-day return policy on merchandise that she has returned 69 days after the delivery date of her order. She is requesting a full refund.

[redacted] called GLO Science on August [redacted], 2013 requesting a refund on merchandise she used for 22 days. She claimed that she did not see any results from any of the products after using them to completion. [redacted] was sent a return label by mail approximately 15 minutes after her call. On September *, [redacted] called back two weeks after her initial call claiming that she did not receive the return label to the address she provided on August [redacted]. As courtesy, another return label was sent and her policy was extended by another week.

[redacted] return was received to the office of GLO Science on October [redacted], one month after the second return label she requested was sent. [redacted] stated that her return was delayed due to her being away on vacation. A vacation is not a valid excuse for not returning a product in the time allotted for a refund. The customer should have made prior arrangements before traveling to make sure the product was received back to us in time.

The customer has abused GLO Science's return policy; GLO Science will not honor this request for refund due to the state and time the customer's merchandise was returned.

Review: I purchased a glo product in September 2013. The product stopped working. I spoke w [redacted] in Glo customer service. Toldher I had a sephora purchase history instead of a receipt. She said they could work with that. After receiving the product that I sent back to them, [redacted] will not accept the Sephora beauty insider purchase history as proof of purchase.

[redacted] also informed me that Glo had experienced a defective control unit on a number of units.

Sephora tracks all of my purchases. I am a beauty insider and get points for purchases.Desired Settlement: Replacement unit.
