Review: I bought a very expensive Seiko Watch for my wife's birthday. The following week, we were on a cruise ship and she swam in the pool with this "water resistant to 30 meters" watch. The watch stopped working. After calling Global 777, they said we should send it to the [redacted] which we did. The service center said that this watch had been "unauthorized opened" which caused the seal to be compromised. She said that the deal was unauthorized to sell this watch and most likely put a new battery in it before sending out. This unauthorized open, then, compromised the seal which destroyed the insides of this new watch.My wife and I have called Global 777 multiple times only able to leave message asking for a call-back, which have not been returned. We emailed asking for a resolve and they refuse to answer the emails. We spoke with PayPal and because the complaint was longer than 45 days from the purchase date, they could only alert the company that this would be a black mark against their reputation. The watch was purchased on October **, 2013. My wife's birthday was November [redacted]. The repair company responded January *, 2014 which is why longer than 45 days passed.The repair company which is an authorized [redacted], is picking up part of the charges, however I am left to pay $130.10. They said that after the watch is repaired and the water test is completed, the watch will once again be water resistant as warranted. They said that this watch could only have been opened by a jeweler with the tools to do so, however when they replaced the battery, this watch should have been water tested BEFORE being shipped to me as the customer, which it clearly was not. This lack of testing is the cause of the leakage and charges for repair.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a total refund of the purchase price of this watch which was $375.00 AND the repair bill of $130.10. Once this watch is repaired to the original state, I would like to ship it back for a full refund of both the cost of repair and the cost of the watch originally.
