I hired Barrio Design to remove some mesquite roots that pushed up the brick pavers on our patio I was impressed from start to finish We set up a time to meet to evaluate the scope of the work *** was on time (he was actually a little early, which I appreciated since I had to get to work) and provided a reasonable bid His crew arrived on time, did exceptional work and cleaned up when the job was done

We called Barrio Design for a quote. The owner arrived at the agreed upon time, and gave us a very reasonable quote. The workers arrived on time the next day. All the work was done to perfection. They not only did an excellent job, on time, but did a remarkable job in the landscape cleanup. I was very impressed with their work and have already highly recommended this business to several other people.

Would never recommend this company.

two unwanted calls, survey and prize winning, they wanted my home address to personally deliver prizeI received a survey call about air quality and allergies, which I willing participated in. A few weeks later another call that I had been entered into a draw and won a prize of my choosing (a whine glass set or water hose) but they wanted my home address so that a company rep could deliver the prize and do a short demonstration of their products. Complaint high pressure, persistent sales approach, belligerent and rude when attempted to cancelOn January 16, 2014, I was contacted by phone and told I'd won a flashlight and was asked if I would be home later to receive it. A short time later that day, a vacuum cleaner salesman ([redacted]) arrived with sales paraphernalia in hand. I reluctantly allowed him into my home. He spent over 2 hours conducting a lengthy, high pressure, persistent sales pitch. Despite my reluctance, the young man continued his pitch. I eventually purchased the product, giving him a personal cheque for $2932.35 and my old vacuum and all of its parts and consumables. I find the vacuum very difficult to use ... The wand is impossible for me to remove as I am elderly and do not have the strength in my hands to do so. I soon began to regret my decision. On January 23, 2014, I contacted the head office in Regina and spoke with [redacted] and informed him that I was tired of fighting with the vacuum and wanted out of the contract. He said he would have the salesman bring me a new want and I told him, no, I want out of the contract, I want my vacuum back, and I want my money back. The salesman came to my house on January 27, 2014 and once again began to explain how to use the vacuum. I told him I already know how to use it and I've decided I don't want it because it's too hard to use. I gave him a letter indicating I wished to cancel the contract. [redacted]On February 13, 2014, [redacted] called and asked if I'd be home the next say as he wanted to bring me a new power head. I said I would not be home but furthermore, I do not want a new wand, I want my old vacuum back and I want my money refunded. [redacted] On February 15, 2014 I shared these events with my daughter. She called [redacted] to reiterate my wishes. He said he had no intention of allowing me out of the contract. [redacted]Desired SettlementFull refund and old vacuum returned

Complaint[redacted] Having purchased the Carpet Pro for the sum of $2500 we were dissatisfied with its ability to pick up dust and animal hair from hardwood OR carpet.We are unable to detach the head of the vacuum from the long nozzle.All in all we find this awkward unit difficult to handle and are frustrated with the lack of service.I previously contacted the distributers at 204-2211 McPhillips street, Winnipeg. Tel. 1 871 404 5622 with no results or response.Desired SettlementRepair or refund
