Global Basecamps Inc Reviews (6)

Hello,
Its unfortunate to here that weeks after we came to an agreement with this client that she decided to make a claim with the Revdex.comThe moment we were made aware that this client need some attention they were still travelling we made every effort to rectify the issue, we
sent multiple emails, called on a daily basis and had our handlers on the ground go the extra mile to make them happyThey simply did not enjoy South Korea as much as they did there Japan portion and could not be consoledEvery aspect of there trip was delivered as agreed upon, its just a more challenging destinationThere were a few missteps on our part and we refunded the client $for those mistakeAdditionally I personally called the client to apologize had a long conversation with her ending with her thanking me for my time, stating that she truly appreciated the call and will look out for the refund.
In our opinion, this is in no way a something that should have been sent to the Revdex.comWe were responsive, clear with the clientCalled upon there return and we settled on a $refund that they already have.
Please advise-***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I do not feel that asking for a price breakdown for the services we paid for/received is making a claim in any way This was what I initially requested on 8/in an email to *** *** and *** *** I also requested the same when I returned to the United States, both in writing to the agent I was working with and with *** over the phoneI was refunded $prior to my conversation with ***, and it was not something we agreed upon In our conversation he acknowledged that he knew from my email to my agent that I felt I should be refunded for more (the full-day tour that only lasted half-day) Additionally, in my conversation with *** he told me that he could not give me a breakdown I inquired as to how I was being refunded if he was unable to tell me what I was being charged for each part of my services and he said that he used an estimate based on tours in various parts of the world This is very different than what the South Korea partners told me when I spoke to them over the phone They said they would refund Global Basecamps and that I would receive a refund after Global Basecamps processed it In one of my emails from *** she wrote: "They assured me that he will take excellent care of you on your touring dayIn addition, they are going to refund the touring day for youI do not know the full amount to be refunded at this time, as it will be sent to me by our partners after your tripWe will refund you for this upon your return." I then followed up my conversation with the South Korean partners after canceling my remaining services with an email to *** on 8/ As I wrote: "I just wanted to follow up with you regarding my conversation with the South Korea office. I had sent the email with our concerns to both you and the Korea office mid-day hoping to speak to somebody. When I returned to the hotel room about 4:today I called the office since I had not heard from them. I explained our disappointment with today (which you can read from the previous email) and asked to cancel tomorrow's service. After checking with her manager, *** called back and stated that the cost of tomorrow would be refunded to you and the service has been cancelled."
If there was an amount returned to Global Basecamps, there would have been an idea of how much we paid for each service, and therefore I should be entitled to knowing what it was Once again, I do not feel as if for asking for a breakdown of prices paid for services received is making a claim and I apologize if it was perceived as such However, I made it clear in writing what I thought I was entitled for a refund for, and that I still would like to see a breakdown of what we paid for
I have copies of all my communications if they can be of further help in resolving this issue and me being able to see a breakdown for what I paid and what I am being refunded for
Regards,

As I mentioned all of our trips are custom built itineraries and sold as such. The amount that was refunded us by our supplier in Korea which was $520 which was to compensate you for the full day guided tour including the folk village and your last day transfer. We then added to that and refunded you $600, I explained this in our conversation, it is not in our best interest to sell you anything other than what was agreed upon prior to you confirming the booking. We again apologize that the South Korea portion of your trip did not live up to your expectations.
We never ignored your concerns, our partner on the ground as well as our office was in full communication during your stay trying to accommodate your requests.
It is our goal to always live up to a clients expectations when planning and booking a trip, as we did for you in Japan. There were a couple of issues in South Korea that we not only tried to rectify on the ground but then re -burnished you for.

I do not feel that asking for a price breakdown for the services we paid for/received is making a false claim in any way.  This was what I initially requested on 8/24 in an email to [redacted] and [redacted].  I also requested the same when I returned to the United States, both in writing to the agent I was working with and with [redacted] over the phone.I was refunded $600 prior to my conversation with [redacted], and it was not something we agreed upon.  In our conversation he acknowledged that he knew from my email to my agent that I felt I should be refunded for more (the full-day tour that only lasted half-day).  Additionally,  in my conversation with [redacted] he told me that he could not give me a breakdown.   I inquired as to how I was being refunded if he was unable to tell me what I was being charged for each part of my services and he said that he used an estimate based on tours in various parts of the world.  This is very different than what the South Korea partners told me when I spoke to them over the phone.  They said they would refund Global Basecamps and that I would receive a refund after Global Basecamps processed it.  In one of my emails from [redacted] she wrote:  "They assured me that he will take excellent care of you on your touring day.
