To whom it may concern,We are holding the 300 this customer has paid to satisfy the service that was provided to him.  The info this customer has given you is incorrect.  If he had called us informing us of a gas gauge issue we would have promptly switched the vehicle in question. ...

Common sense would say that if you rented a vehicle you have been having problems with why would you continue to drive it and not return it to facility.  When Mr. [redacted] called in saying the vehicle broke down we immediately sent him a tow truck with a replacement vehicle.  The vehicle in question was then taken to our repair location to be inspected.  On inspection the mechanics noticed there was no fuel delivery in the vehicle, they added to gallons of gas to the vehicle and the car started right up.  And the gas gauge was then marking right under a quarter tank.  The issue here is the customer ran out of gas on interstate and instead of getting gas himself which he is required to keep vehicle fueled he calls us and says the car broke down.  In return we had to pay $180 in fees for the tow, which were deducted from his initial payment of 300 for the rental.  The customer still owes an amount of $35  which we will go after in civil court.  In our defense after all this occurred Mr.  [redacted]'s mother came into the facility irate about the situation the son was in and even admitted and apologized stating that he was rushing to get to work, had to drop her off in the process and ran out of fuel.  Mr.  [redacted] is just upset that after all this happened, him and his mother came into the facility were very rude, cursing to the point that the police had to be called which in turn they almost arrested his mother.  which in turn we would not provide services to him in the future so he responded saying he would file a complaint with Revdex.com.  We have a right as a private business to refuse service and that was the issue here.  if you have any other questions feel free to call or send correspondence.  Our position is we will keep the $300 for the services rendered to Mr. [redacted].Thank You [redacted]  General Manager Global Auto Rental And Sales [redacted]

Review: On 6/12/15 I rented a car from Global Car Rental for $200 for one week plus a $100 deposit which would be returned when the car was returned. Immediately after leaving the premises I noticed that the gas meter wasn't working properly. I called the rental company to let them know of the issue but did not get an answer. I left a detailed message about my concern. The company never responded. 5 days later on 6/17/15 the vehicle malfunctioned on interstate 64 as I was driving to a doctor's appointment. When I called the rental company about the issue I was informed that a tow truck and a replacement vehicle would be coming to accommodate me. After the car arrived back at the rental company I received a call from the front desk employee demanding that I return the replacement vehicle immediately. When I arrived the clerk told me that my contract would be terminated and my deposit of $100 along with the remaing balance of $45 would be held because there was nothin wrong with the car besides the gas tank being empty. I told him that I had called about the gas meter which I never got a response about. He then stated that wasn't his problem and that there was nothin to be done to rectify the situation. He was very rude and unprofessional with his explanation.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the full price of the rental.
