We inspected the engine and provided our findings to ***This engine suffered an overheat condition causing the valves to stick in the valve guides which came in contact with the pistons causing severe damageAll of the
heat detection tabs were meltedThis failure is not covered under the warranty
We told *** that we would repair the engine at cost so that he would not be charged for a new engine
We also told *** that he would have to correct the problem causing the overheat condition or that this would happen again (ignition, timing, fuel, lean condition etc.)
Installation of the push rods & rocker arms were installed correctly and testedThese parts on this application can only be installed one wayThe camshaft & lifters have a critical break in procedure that must be followed or camshaft failure will occur
*** is not a certified technician and has admitted to us that he has made mistakes assembling and installing the engineWe strongly recommend that this engine be installed by a qualified technician to avoid any future issues

We have received the core. The engine core has been inspected and a core refund was issued in the amount of $500.00 to card used to make the purchase.

This engine was severely overheated as indicated by the melted heat tabs. The engine failed due to the overheat condition. An over heat condition is not covered under the warranty.
