Business states that the consumer received what he ordered. There was nothing wrong with the item that  he ordered, the only issue the  consumer had was with the  warning label the item contained. That label must be on there by law in California. Business proposed to reorder from a...

different manufacturer from outside of California but consumer refused. Consumer invoice that he signed contains the refund policy that he was aware of at the time of purchase. At this time, the store is willing to offer a store credit or exchange but unfortunately a refund is not an option.

I, [redacted], went to Yuba City, CA, on August 24,2015, and purchased a nightstand at Global Furniture Store ([redacted]) to match some furniture that I had recently bought at this same store. I talked with the manager, [redacted]. He told me he did not have it in stock but he could order it and have it within 5 days. [redacted] and I discussed the chemicals that are used in the furniture that is labeled by the State, warning of cancer and birth defects. Only the furniture that have these chemicals are required by the State t carry these labels, and [redacted] stated that this order of this nightstand would not have these chemicals. Chemical-free furniture was my top priority. [redacted] was totally aware that I didn't want him to make this order if the furniture contained these chemicals. I confirm that this statement is true.
I do not want store credit. I do not want to exchange items. I want a refund. He ordered this furniture for me knowing I did not want cancer-causing chemicals in my home or furniture. He promised me it would not, but it did.

Went in to purchase bedroom set. Put 50% down and was told that it would arrive Saturday if we had decided to pick up instead since it would be the weekend after for it to be delivered (Monday order). Called Saturday to inform of pick up and payment of the remainder at pick up and was told that it was not there, possibly Monday or Tuesday. Called Monday and still not there and asked for refund since it was not available Saturday for pick up as mentioned. Was told that it would arrive Saturday. Product not received and still refused to give money back. Was never informed of any non-refundable policies. Business did not uphold their end of the promise of it being there Saturday for our option to pick up. Cannot believe such a business exists! Scammers. And to think they want to also keep the $650 deposit!
