I do not agree with the response from Global Furniture. ...

Several points were incorrect in their response. First, I requested a cash refund after my first purchase that I was not satisfied with and was met with opposition. Second, I was told the store would provide me a second purchase option, however they could not produce my second purchase option. Again, I requested a cash refund and was refused. At this point I was told the store did not issue cash refunds only store credits. I inquired about the policy because this was not the policy posted in store (please see attached photo taken in store of policy), nor was this policy noted on my store receipt. The in store policy stated: NO REFUND ON LAYAWAYS AND NO REFUND ON ANY ITEM THAT WILL BE A SPECIAL ORDER:
I contest that neither of these situations pertain to my purchase. I did not have a layaway nor was my purchase a special order. The manager stated to me that under NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL THEY ISSUE A CASH REFUND!!! This is clearly not stated in the store policy (please see attached photo taken in store) nor is it noted on my purchase receipt. As a consumer I feel as though I am being taken advantage of and being made to spend my money in a store on merchandise at this point that I do not want. I was willing to make a purchase on two (2) items one that was incorrect and the second they could not produce. At this point all I want is a cash refund which is the method of payment initially used for my purchase. The manager is very disrespectful, rude and controlling of the situation. He has stated NO WAY WILL HE ISSUE CASH BACK. He also stated he does not care how I interpret the written store policy, what he says is whats going to happen. I think this is very unjust and I just want justice which is a cash refund. Any assistance the Revdex.com can provide will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

as a I stated in my second letter that I have faxed that I will give the customer 50% cash back and 50% store credit because I had to special order the big rug for her and that cost me extra shipping and handeling

Review: Thursday, March 13, 2014 I placed a bedroom set on layaway at Global Furniture and paid the down payment with my debit card. After the sales person [redacted] swiped my debit card and gave me the receipt to sign; he asked to see my driver's license which was okay to verify my address and identity. But, I don't think it was appropriate for [redacted] to write my driver's license number on the store invoice file copy . What is the purpose of having my driver's license number in their file? The transaction was approved before he asked for my driver's license. My complaint is I'm uncomfortable with the fact that [redacted] (sales person) wrote my driver's license number down on the invoice for their file. With all of the identity theft these days I don't want my personal information misused. IDesired Settlement: I would like their business practice investigated as to why this store is writing down customers' driver's license numbers for their file.
