Review: I am paying for 8mb/s of internet speed. For the last two months, I have performed regular speed tests and am only receiving 2.0-2.5mb/s. I contacted technical support and a technician was sent out the week before Thanksgiving. He was unable to resolve the problem even after he took the speed limiter off my router. He told me that the problem is that too many customers were placed on the same receiving tower and that the tower was overloaded. He told me that he would have someone get back to me with possible resolutions. Two weeks later, I called and spoke with [redacted] who became very irate at my wanting a bill reduction, questioned my ability to perform a speed test, denied that I was getting slow service, then tried to bully me into accepting a lower speed and when I told him that I was paying for 8mb/s and that's what I wanted, told me that he was going to bump me down to a lower speed in order to meet their customer service promises. When I pointed out that the neighbors half a mile down the road were having the same problems, he stammered and mumbled, but didn't give me a clear response. He was a complete jerk and I felt bullied and harassed by his treatment of me. He ended the call by saying that he would speak with the technician that came out to my house and would get back to me. I just received my bill, and had received no bill adjustment for the poor internet speed. I called billing and was told not to expect a bill adjustment.Desired Settlement: I am looking for a $45 dollar credit on my bill for last month, and for each continued month that the speeds provided are well under the speeds promised. Additionally, I am looking for a technical resolution to get the speed promised, either by removing the limiter on my router or by upgrading the tower so that all the customers on that tower get what was promised.
