Global Polygraph Network, Inc. Reviews (13)

Not what I was hoping for.
I was just trying to prove to my wife I was not cheating on her. I went from a wife who was suspicious and questioning things to a divorce. I wish I would have done a little more research that wasn’t sponsored by the company here. I found that polygraph test are pretty good at detecting lies but not very good at identifying honesty. Do your research from other sources not this company’s website. I am a faithful hardworking person and now my wife thinks that I am doing all sorts of things that never happened. Nobody here cares about your relationship. They are selling snake oil. If you are trying to show your spouse you are being truthful just use honesty and good old fashioned work. This is not for you.

You get what you pay for
Inexperienced examiner who asks wrong questions in Paramus, NJ. 1.Have u ever lied? 2. Have u ever cheated? Everyone lies in varying degrees at sometime in their lives. Good hard working people cheat at times. Husband tells the wife she looks good in that dress when she does not. Hundreds of men signed up for World War 2 who lied about their age but in reality they were really only 14 years old. Kids innocently cheat at boardgames. What am I suppose to answer. If I say yes I lied a few times in my life than the other side at the hearing will say how can we believe this man in the future. If I say I don't lie than the polygraph machine will flunk me and thus cannot use the results to defend myself at this hearing. I didn't come up with those 2 questions. My first polygraph test so I just went with the flow. But later I thought bad idea on the Examiner's part to ask these questions. Examiner had to call her Boss a few times for answers. Frustrating. GPN will say u just don't like the results. Yeah no duh, but the 2 questions above don't give me a chance to pass. Examiner was Professional and courteous but just not knowledgeable enough.

Nov 20, 2021 review of Global Polygraph Network
The examiner in Paramus, NJ is still learning their trade. Good person but inexperienced. I believe that is why the polygraph test results came out the way they did. If it's very important to take a polygraph then go to the best. Spend the money. JG

There are a few issues to be addressed in this complaint.1.? As Ms [redacted] stated, she was given an exam by a member of the Global Polygraph Network (GPN).? GPN is a referral service which provides referrals to qualified examiners around the world.? These members are not employees or contractors of GPN, and GPN has no direct oversight of these members when exams are administered.? Ms [redacted] paid GPN $for the referral to MsS [redacted] , and the balance was paid directly to the examiner.? GPN did not collect a $fee.? Any request for a refund should be addressed to the examiner, not to the organization to which the examiner belongs.2.? When a polygraph is administered, data is collected.? Once that data is collected, the examiner must analyze the data and apply certain techniques (known as Test Data Analysis - TDA) to the data in order to come up with a conclusion.? There is a degree of subjectivity in TDA that will vary from one examiner to another.? In most cases there will be agreement of the TDA results, but not always.? This is one of those cases.? The examiner initially rendered a decision of DI (deception indicated), and the client later requested that I conduct a QC evaluation of the charts.? My review took into account various artifacts (distortions) that I felt should not have been analyzed, and I came up with a different result of NDI (no deception indicated).? Once I advised the examiner of my opinion, she changed her original opinion to INC (inconclusive) due to the conflicting TDA results.3.? Polygraph is a statistical science.? In other words, polygraph results will predict the probability of deception, not the certainty of it.? Done correctly, results will be correct to percent of the time.4.? GPN is not responsible for the results produced by our members on a case by case basis.? Any issue with the results must be taken up with the examiner.? GPN can only provide some assistance in this regard, but since GPN did not administer the exam in question, we can only only comment on that exam.? We can't change it.IN SUMMARY, Ms [redacted] hired MsS [redacted] to administer a polygraph exam.? MsS [redacted] is not an officer, agent, employee or contractor of GPN, she is simply a member of our organization.? GPN is not responsible for individual test results as determined by our members.? Ms [redacted] paid MsS [redacted] for the exam, not GPN.? The fact that my evaluation of MsS [redacted] 's exam produced a different result is irrelevant.? Ms [redacted] said that the test is not accurate, but due to the statistical nature of polygraph there will be errors made, but over large numbers the exam accuracy is statistically significant.? Data is data, but as in any profession there will be differences of opinion.? GPN is not in a position to offer a refund as we were not paid for the exam.? Ms [redacted] must address her complaint to the examiner, not to the organization to which she belongs

[redacted] This is a simple case of the customer not liking the results he obtained, so after he failed our exam he shopped around until he found a company that would give him the result he wanted [redacted] signed a release form before and after the exam stating "I understand that the results of such a test and the conclusions drawn therefrom by Global Polygraph Network, its officers, agents, and employees, may prove unfavorable to me I do, none-the-less, hold Global Polygraph Network Network, its officers, agents, and employees free and harmless from any claim I might otherwise have against them for any damages to me or any liabilities resulting trom the taking of the test and disclosure of its results and the conclusions drawn therefrom On behalf of myself and my heirs, I hereby release, waive and forever discharge each of the above-named corporations, firms, their respective officers, agents and employees, from any and all action or cause of action, claim, demand or liability, which I have now or may have resulting directly or indirectly from my taking said examination and the oral and written opinions rendered because of said exam." This document is available for inspection upon request[redacted] was attempting to prove that his ex-girlfriend failed to return $4,of cash she removed from their joint bank account During the interview, [redacted] stated that she did give him $which was likely from the money that she took I suggested asking the question with a "buffer" zone to avoid any issues of uncertainty about the dollar amount, so I formulated questions to determine if [redacted] had been given "more than $500" of that money, and he agreed to that question without hesitation I asked him if he was certain, because uncertainty can cause a problem with the results He assured me he was certain that the amount she gave him did not exceed $ I administered the exam, and he was found DI (deception indicated) The testing format I used was a specific issue Utah Zone Comparison Test with Directed Lies and scored using the Empirical Scoring System (ESS), a technique validated by the American Polygraph Association.AFTER the exam, [redacted] expressed concerns that he may not have been certain about the dollar amount she gave him, a concern he did not express before It is my duty to design the best fact-based questions possible for a given situation, and this was absolutely done in this case.If [redacted] wishes, I will submit my test materials to an APA qualified expert for Quality Control review, as long [redacted] ' second exam undergoes the same process No refund is due because services were rendered and results provided I openly challenge both exams to undergo expert review and scrutiny.Global Polygraph Network only provides real exams with real results We don't simply give clients the results they are hoping to achieve

I did in fact offer *** *** a retest at a reduced price ($discount) but he rejected that offer. The fact that *** *** is unwilling to have BOTH exams subjected to Quality Control is telling. I have made no disparaging remarks regarding *** *** second examiner. The identity of that examiner is unknown to me. An independent Quality Control of both exams and both examiners could be helpful, and I support that avenue wholeheartedly. In response to my having disclosed "private and confidential information", the issue of why *** *** failed his exam was pertinent and necessary for my response to his complaint, as *** *** states he should not have failed his exam. The facts of *** *** case are relevant to my position. Furthermore, no identifying information was provided by me regarding the other party or parties involved. By filing this complaint, *** *** opened the door himself for the case details to be examined by third parties (Revdex.com, APA) to determine whether the examination was conducted properly. Please allow both exams to undergo a Quality Control review by an APA-approved independent expert so that the test results can be validatedA refund is not due. An exam was provided, and results and a formal report were produced. *** *** simply does not like the results of my exam.Copies of my report, and *** *** signed release form are available upon request

There are a few issues to be addressed in this complaint.1.  As Ms. [redacted] stated, she was given an exam by a member of the Global Polygraph Network (GPN).  GPN is a referral service which provides referrals to qualified examiners around the world.  These members are not...

employees or contractors of GPN, and GPN has no direct oversight of these members when exams are administered.  Ms. [redacted] paid GPN $100.00 for the referral to Ms. S[redacted], and the balance was paid directly to the examiner.  GPN did not collect a $425 fee.  Any request for a refund should be addressed to the examiner, not to the organization to which the examiner belongs.2.  When a polygraph is administered, data is collected.  Once that data is collected, the examiner must analyze the data and apply certain techniques (known as Test Data Analysis - TDA) to the data in order to come up with a conclusion.  There is a degree of subjectivity in TDA that will vary from one examiner to another.  In most cases there will be agreement of the TDA results, but not always.  This is one of those cases.  The examiner initially rendered a decision of DI (deception indicated), and the client later requested that I conduct a QC evaluation of the charts.  My review took into account various artifacts (distortions) that I felt should not have been analyzed, and I came up with a different result of NDI (no deception indicated).  Once I advised the examiner of my opinion, she changed her original opinion to INC (inconclusive) due to the conflicting TDA results.3.  Polygraph is a statistical science.  In other words, polygraph results will predict the probability of deception, not the certainty of it.  Done correctly, results will be correct 80 to 95 percent of the time.4.  GPN is not responsible for the results produced by our members on a case by case basis.  Any issue with the results must be taken up with the examiner.  GPN can only provide some assistance in this regard, but since GPN did not administer the exam in question, we can only only comment on that exam.  We can't change it.IN SUMMARY, Ms. [redacted] hired Ms. S[redacted] to administer a polygraph exam.  Ms. S[redacted] is not an officer, agent, employee or contractor of GPN, she is simply a member of our organization.  GPN is not responsible for individual test results as determined by our members.  Ms. [redacted] paid Ms. S[redacted] for the exam, not GPN.  The fact that my evaluation of Ms. S[redacted]'s exam produced a different result is irrelevant.  Ms. [redacted] said that the test is not accurate, but due to the statistical nature of polygraph there will be errors made, but over large numbers the exam accuracy is statistically significant.  Data is data, but as in any profession there will be differences of opinion.  GPN is not in a position to offer a refund as we were not paid for the exam.  Ms. [redacted] must address her complaint to the examiner, not to the organization to which she belongs.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response by Mr [redacted] in totally misrepresented piecemeal and far from factual, furthermore Mr [redacted] again exhibits his totally unethical and unprofessional resolve by including private and confidential explicit details of items discussed. The mere fact that Mr [redacted] has needlessly improperly disclosed private and confidential information of a client needs now also be addressed and forwarded to the American Polygraph association.. The outline of my personal and confidential detail as made by Micheal [redacted] must be, at this time,  deleted from this database as Micheal [redacted] has no authority or signed release to disclose any such item specific personal and confidential detail of my case. American Polygraph Association Code of Ethics4. Division IV Code of Ethics, Last Revised 01/10/1999)4.1 Rights of Examinees4.1.1 A member shall respect the rights and dignity of all persons to whom they administer polygraph examinations.4.7 Standards of Reporting4.7.1 A member shall not knowingly submit, or permit employees to submit, a misleading or false polygraph examination report. Each polygraph report shall be a factual, impartial, and objective account of information developed during the examination, and the examiner's professional conclusion based on analysis of the polygraph data.4.8 Advertisements4.8.1 A member shall not knowingly make, publish, or cause to be published any false or misleading statements or advertisements relating to the Association or the polygraph profession. No member shall make any false representation as to category of membership in the Association. All advertisements making reference to membership in the Association shall also list the category of membership.4.9 Release of Non-relevant Information4.9.1 A member shall not disclose to any person any irrelevant personal information gained during the course of a polygraph examination which has no connection to the relevant issue, and which may embarrass or tend to embarrass the examinee, except where such disclosure is required by law.It should be Clearly noted that Mr [redacted] is also now  unprofessionally attempting to discredit the renown Polygraph examiner I retained to properly preform the same test correctly yest another ethics concern. It appears that Mr [redacted] is concluding and accusing that I may have paid off an other examiner to have alter test result !!!!!!  This in its self is clearly unprofessional Nonsense! Mr [redacted] was afforded the opportunity to retest me. He was afforded the opportunity to provide me with a partial refund. He initially agreed then rescinded his offer. There after I hired another examination company. that conducted the test with PROPER questioning and Proper Results. Mr [redacted] is clearly exhibiting his unethical and unprofessional demure here in his response.  Prior to my furtherance, escalation & publication of this matter, that would most likely result in the embarrassment of Michael [redacted] & Global Poly Graph Network, I simply ask that Mr [redacted] immediately and without impunity to either party Refund me not less than $500.00
Regards,

I was refered to Ms S[redacted] through global polygraph. Ms. S[redacted] refuses to have any further contact with us that is why I contacted global polygraph. This is just a way for them to get around their empoyees mistakes. My report cannot be deceptive, non deceptive and inconclusive.

[redacted]This is a simple case of the customer not liking the results he
obtained, so after he failed our exam he shopped around until he found a
company that would give him the result he wanted.   [redacted]
signed a release form before and after the exam stating "I understand...

that the results of such a test and the conclusions drawn therefrom by
Global Polygraph Network, its officers, agents, and employees, may prove
unfavorable to me.  I do, none-the-less, hold Global Polygraph Network
Network, its officers, agents, and employees free and harmless from any
claim I might otherwise have against them for any damages to me or any
liabilities resulting trom the taking of the test and disclosure of its
results and the conclusions drawn therefrom.  On behalf of myself and my
heirs, I hereby release, waive and forever discharge each of the
above-named corporations, firms, their respective officers, agents and
employees, from any and all action or cause of action, claim, demand or
liability, which I have now or may have resulting directly or indirectly
from my taking said examination and the oral and written opinions
rendered because of said exam."  This document is available for
inspection upon request.[redacted] was attempting to prove that
his ex-girlfriend failed to return $4,740 of cash she removed from
their joint bank account.  During the interview, [redacted] stated that
she did give him $300 which was likely from the money that she took.   I
suggested asking the question with a "buffer" zone to avoid any issues
of uncertainty about the dollar amount, so I formulated questions to
determine if [redacted] had been given "more than $500" of that money,
and he agreed to that question without hesitation.  I asked him if he
was certain, because uncertainty can cause a problem with the results.
He assured me he was certain that the amount she gave him did not exceed
$500.  I administered the exam, and he was found DI (deception
indicated).  The testing format I used was a specific issue Utah Zone Comparison Test
with Directed Lies and scored using the Empirical Scoring System (ESS), a technique validated by the American Polygraph
Association.AFTER the exam, [redacted] expressed concerns that
he may not have been certain about the dollar amount she gave him, a
concern he did not express before.  It is my duty to design the best
fact-based questions possible for a given situation, and this was
absolutely done in this case.If [redacted] wishes, I will
submit my test materials to an APA qualified expert for Quality Control
review, as long [redacted]' second exam undergoes the same process.  No refund is due because services were rendered and results provided.   I openly challenge both exams to undergo expert review and scrutiny.Global Polygraph Network only provides real exams with real results.  We don't simply give clients the results they are hoping to achieve.
