This letter is in response to Mr***'s complaintThere was a mix upwith the filter cartridges this springWhen Mr [redacted] called [redacted] theowner, [redacted] asked me to order Mr [redacted] a new set of cartridgesIimmediately did that on the same day, May 19thThe cartridges are aspecial orderI was told it would be about a week before we got them.We have no control over shipping from our distributors.Mr [redacted] came into our store and behaved in a very nonprofessionalmanor in front of our customersWe have honestly tried to doeverything in our power to make him happy. As of this morning, May 23, 2015, the cartridges arrived at ourdistributorWe immediately sent one of our employees over to pickthem up and deliver them to Mr***.I hope this takes care of any issues with Mr***

In response to Charles L [redacted] s response, With regards to your statement about crediting many of the winterizing invoices, my records reflect to the contrary If you would like to send me copies of those invoices that you have stated you credited me I would be happy to check them against my records Last year you credited me back winterization costs due to the fact that when your people came out to shut down the pool, once again they messed up and I lost four feet of water within hours and a total of to feet (the equivalent of draining more than the entire pool) in total which in turn cost me more than the winterization cost that you creditedWhile appreciated I once again was still out the difference With this exception, there has been no attempt for reimbursement for the vast amount of water and sewage costs that I have incurredAny costs you have incurred in the attempt to rectify my pool leaking is of no consequence to me, the fact that you spent years trying to repair the leak to no avail and chose to not hire it out 10+ years ago to someone with the ability to repair it, is a complete error in your judgment not mine, therefore the responsibility lies at your feet for any costs incurred With respect to the brass hydrostat that my wife returned, this was the third hydrostat and third year in a row’s attempt to fix the leak with the same solution which he repeatedly stated had to be the cause, which in fact it was notBefore he installed the brass hydrostat, I told him if I pay for this now and it does not fix it I would expect a refundWhen my wife went to return it they said they could not refund the money and after making my wife feel bad, I had to call them and argue with them to straighten it out and eventually was refunded the money via money taken off a bill for chemicals Let me make this perfectly clear, this is not about how much money you are out due to building me an inferior pool, and your decisions on how best to fix it(A professional leak repair company should have been hired by commercial pools years ago) This is about how much money I am out due to the fact that you built me an inferior pool The $in reimbursement is strictly for offsetting the cost of water and sewerage that I have had to pay over the years, and seeing how this is just a portion of what I am out with complete disregard to time, frustration, not to mention time taken off work and the fact that I have had to repair with my own money and time several mistakes your employees have made (broken pipes etc from, not winterizing properly) I would say this is a very generous offer As to your suggestion to have another company winterize my pool and afterword’s have [redacted] leak detectors come out if it is still leaking, this is what should have transpired years ago So yes, if you can put into writing a contract stating that you take full responsibility for paying a professional leak detection company to come out find the leak (and repair the leak) and that it is still your responsibility for a two year period from said repair to ensure that it is in fact fixed and will pay reimbursement for a part of the cost of water and sewage I have incurred then I would agree to these terms and hold off legal action

This is in response to the letter from Mr*** ***His pool was built in There seemsto be a leak in his pool only when it is winterizedWhen a pool is winterized, everything ispluggedThis is quite puzzlingWe have spent a lot of time trying to find a leak or even thereason why
As to the expense for Mr***, we have not charged him for any of our time at hispoolWe have many hours investedWe have also credited many of the winterizing invoices. That amount totals $We have not charged him for any materials used in our attempt to repair the leak with the exception of a brass hydrostat valveHis wife returned that valve ayear laterThe money was refundedWe are certainly out a lot more than $2,We areas frustrated as Mr*** isWe cannot find any reason for the leak. This is my suggestionMr*** should have another pool company winterize his poolAfter itis winterized and if it does loose water, we will have *** Leak come out at our expenseand see what they findIf they do find something, and depending on what it is, the proper wayto repair it and responsibility will be determinedAs far as the diving board he mentioned, I think it was generous of us to offer to give him a usedboardThe original board was out of warranty as he mentionedWe also replaced his lightsunder warranty

I would like to state for the record again that your pool only leaks in the winter time All summer long as you enjoy the pool in your yard, it does not leak After you get your pool winterized by another company, I will have the leak detection company come out at my expense If they find a leak, I will pay for it to be repaired That is as far as I am going I will not warranty another company's work You can discuss with them their warranty That will have nothing to do with me I do not feel I owe you anything else You should have a deduct meter on your house so you don't pay sewer charges on water to fill the pool or water your lawn or anything outside Your ill feelings aside ***, no one wants this settled more than me We are a few months away from this happeningLet us know when you get winterized I would suggest earlier than later so any repairs can be made without the weather interferingCharlie

I'm glad you brought up the auxiliary meterI assume that's what you are talking about because I've never heard of them being called a "deduct meter".The fact is that I had one on my last house that had a pool, and as you said you don't pay for sewage which is trueHowever the cost of the meter and it's installation is expensive and is the reason I spent the extra money to get an automated cover which would eliminate the expense of draining my pool every summer and just refilling it or spending a ton of money trying to get it nice and clear with very expensive chemicalsmy water is crystal clear in the spring when I open my pool (with the exception of when your staff again screwed up and didn't winterize it correctly) because the automated cover doesn't allow rain water to get in to the pool and thus eliminates the algae growth over the winter which would then require removal and addition of copious amounts of water and or chemicals by implementing the automated cover there is no need to drain the water down in the winter and is in fact bad to do since the cover has to be supported by the water itself so it wont rip out of the tracks, and while were on the subject your staff even with me calling ahead and making sure that on the order it stated specifically not to drain down the water, with the exception of only a couple of years out of 13, did in fact drain down my water more than a foot during their winterization process, again costing me more money to fill it back up to where it should be to support the coverso with the exception of your staff draining out my water needlessly and the leak, there is no good reason to spend the money on the meter and installation because I SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO ADD VAST AMOUNTS OF WATER TO THE POOL EVERY YEAR! but then, I'm not telling you something that you don't already know, now am I. Now about your proposal to have a leak company come out at your expense and diagnose and fix the leak that has eluded you for yearsI absolutely agree to this as long as you will put it into writingAgain, why did you make me go to the Revdex.com and file this complaint? you are the one that told your employee to tell me that if the sealing up of the lights didn't fix the problem, that you were done, and that I was on my own to cover the expense of having a company come out find and repair the leakSo pardon me if I'm a little skeptical. As for the money I'm out on water and sewage, If you can look me in the eye and tell me honestly that you should not be responsible for any of it, then you are not the type of person I thought I was doing business with, or would ever do business with againTo tell you the truth, I'm tired of gong around in circles with you about it.Iv'e burned enough calories on this whole ordeal over the years and just want the pool fixedSo if you can live with yourself, I'll just deal with it and consider my judge of character poor on this oneyou could have at least offered some restitution in chemicals or something So, if you will give me something in writing stating that you will pay for the leak detection and repair of the leak then I may consider acceptingI also want to talk to someone at the leak detection company.also know this, I'm not sure that the pool doesn't leak in the summer because of the evaporation that occurs when its left uncovered during sunny days and the typical use when we are in and out of it through out the daywhile it is definitely less I wouldn't say that it for sure doesn't leak at allwith the weather we've had this summer and it being mostly covered for weeks there has definitely been a drop in water height albeit nothing like in the winterjust an FYI

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Please add your rejection comments below. the response from Global Glass Specialty is full of falsehoods and proves their lack of professionalism. It was very disappointing to read that they claim I was verbally abusive and rude. [redacted], the owner, and I had two respectful conversations. To reiterate, on the day of the service, September 24, 2015, I called and spoke to [redacted] about the poor condition of the sashes around the window. He told me he was dis appointed that his two guys did not inform him of the damage they had done and asked me to bring them so he could take a look at them himself. Two days later, on September 26, 2015, I spoke to him in person and he told me he had ordered two new sashes to replace the ones that had been damaged in process of installing the windows. He also stated that the replacement parts would be in within a week and that he'd call to let me know when his guys would come to my house to finish the project on site. Now I see that he had done nothing of the sort since he stated in his recent response to the Revdex.com that he could not order the parts because the windows were too old. It appears he was just trying make me happy in the moment because for the six following weeks, he never returned my phone call. I tried calling at least twice a week. The secretaries constantly had an excuse, like, "[redacted] is in a meeting. He will call you later today." I'm still waiting on a call back. In addition to the lack of quality work and professionalism, I had someone from another glass specialty business come and take a look at the Windows. According to him, the windows are a complete loss and need to replaced due to the damage and poor quality of the newly installed windows. The newly installed windows are not factory-made, nor do they have a warranty. I was quoted by this other company that a new window would cost $500. So now I paid Global Glass Specialty $140 for a poor quality job that was never finished and need to replace the entire unit at $500. This is ansolutely ridiculous.[redacted] also stated in his recent response that you can't even see the damage. I am going to attempt to upload pictures for you to see for yourself. It is very apparent and can be seen by looking out the kitchen windows, which are the ones Global Glass Specialty ruined.

[redacted]

In response to Charles L[redacted]s
response,
With regards to your statement
about crediting many of the winterizing invoices, my records reflect to the contrary.
If you would like to send me copies of those invoices that you have stated you
credited me I would be happy to check them against my records.
Last year you credited me back
winterization costs due to the fact that when your people came out to shut down
the pool, once again they messed up and I lost four feet of water within 24
hours and a total of 7 to 8 feet (the equivalent of draining more than the
entire pool) in total which in turn cost me more than the winterization cost
that you credited. While appreciated I once again was still out the difference.
With this exception, there has
been no attempt for reimbursement for the vast amount of water and sewage costs
that I have incurred. Any costs you have incurred in the attempt to rectify my
pool leaking is of no consequence to me, the fact that you spent 13 years
trying to repair the leak to no avail and chose to not hire it out 10+ years
ago to someone with the ability to repair it, is a complete error in your
judgment not mine, therefore the responsibility lies at your feet for any costs
incurred.
With respect to the brass
hydrostat that my wife returned, this was the third hydrostat and third year in
a row’s attempt to fix the leak with the same solution which he repeatedly
stated had to be the cause, which in fact it was not. Before he installed the
brass hydrostat, I told him if I pay for this now and it does not fix it I
would expect a refund. When my wife went to return it they said they could not
refund the money and after making my wife feel bad, I had to call them and argue
with them to straighten it out and eventually was refunded the money via money
taken off a bill for chemicals.
Let me make this perfectly clear,
this is not about how much money you are out due to building me an inferior
pool, and your decisions on how best to fix it. (A professional leak repair
company should have been hired by commercial pools years ago) This is about how
much money I am out due to the fact that you built me an inferior pool.
The $2000.00 in reimbursement is
strictly for offsetting the cost of water and sewerage that I have had to pay
over the years, and seeing how this is just a portion of what I am out with
complete disregard to time, frustration, not to mention time taken off work and
the fact that I have had to repair with my own money and time several mistakes
your employees have made (broken pipes etc… from, not winterizing properly)… I
would say this is a very generous offer.
As to your suggestion to have
another company winterize my pool and afterword’s have [redacted] leak detectors
come out if it is still leaking, this is what should have transpired years ago.
So yes, if you can put into writing a contract stating that you take full
responsibility for paying a professional leak detection company to come out
find the leak (and repair the leak) and that it is still your
responsibility for a two year period from said repair to ensure that it is in
fact fixed and will pay reimbursement for a part of the cost of water and
sewage I have incurred then I would agree to these terms and hold off legal
action.
