Global Technology Partners Reviews (%countItem)

This company totally scammed me and ended up taking control of my computer and told me I had to upgrade my windows software and get a new printer.
4/19/ 2020, Epson printer WF 3620, dell computer with Microsoft windows 10.Home.
Printer showed error code so went to Printerfixes.com site that had listed way to try to fix Epson computers. None worked so called a phone number they had listed and ended up talking to a person that said my printer had malware and my computer needed to be upgraded to windows Pro since my windows 10 was no longer going to be supported. It was a lie. he said he was with Epson, that was a lie. He talked me into a future support program for $350, took control of my computer and supposedly upgraded it to Windows pro. As far as I can tell it still has the same version of software that was on it. Now when I got off the phone I checked the Windows site and the windows upgrade is $99. with full support.
There are a number of companies that are affiliated with this scam. Printerfixes.com, Procomputersupport.com, Docku serve

Desired Outcome

$350 refund

Subject: Complaint***

I had already E mailed Revdex.com that my complaint had been taken care of because the vendor had not charged my card. it was held as pending for about a week. Thanks for your help.

Global Technology Partners ''Tricked'' me into paying $500.00 to protect my $200.oo computer. They made me think that I was dealing with***,
12/06/2019-- I called what the*** said was*** internet security. I had noticed that*** had charged me $119.oo..So Id***'s ph.#..
I just read the first thing on the list, that said***. It was actually Global Technology Partners. They got me to give them access to my computer, and showed me lots of Hackers'that had been hacking my computer(it was fked into)- They told me they would take care of all my problems, After an hour of complaining that I could not afford any of this, I am on a social security payment living on a fixed income.
They tricked me. When I finally looked at my bank statement again, I found the $119.oo from*** still there. So I called them (this time I was very careful to get just the right number)-*** told me ''It was not them I had dealt with".
They also said they would only charge me $40.00.. So I want to my bank and told them to stop payment, They said it was 'in process'' and they had to wait till it did it's thing??
So I'm doing this complaint'..Please help me, I am 70 years old and not as ''sharp' as I used to be..They took advantage of me.

Desired Outcome

I want them to give me back my money, I am so distraught that I have to wait till it gets out of processing, and many of the other things I have no knowledge about. Please help me with this, I will be so much more careful form now on..

On November 24, 2018 I mistakenly signed a contract for $1,000 to Global Technology Partners for 3 years ending on November 24, 2021.
I mistakenly signed a contract with Global Technology Partners on November 24, 2018 for 3 years ending on November 24, 2021. This contract was suppose to be for anti hacking. They really used high pressure tactics to be sure I signed the contract. Now they are pressuring me again on the phone for some other problem.

Desired Outcome

I would like the phone calls to stop and I will never return their calls. I want a refund of my hard earned money retroactive to today.

Dear Customer, As the CEO of Global Technology Partners I take every complaint seriously and investigate fully. We have 100,000 plus customers and have a handful of complaints in 5 years.

3. Our Tech Experts had worked on 4 incidents as per case notes. The major incident was when the customer registered and other for an email issue and optimized in 4th Feb 2019.
4. Customer signed up on November 24, 2018 and signed a Docusign as an agreement. Customer states on call and accepts charges for 3 years.
5. All calls went well with no negative feedback from customer.
6. From the time she signed up 3 Months went by and customer used the service again to fix her computer (e-mail).
7. We attempted to call the customer to double check on their computers and devices as a courtesy call but the customer refuses to talk to us.
8. Customer is demanding money back after 1 year of using uploaded Anti-Virus and Firewall configuration with unlimited tech support.
9. We would like to retain this customer but unsure exactly what they want when they stated "Retroactively want...."

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not agree with their response. They stated that I was satisfied on several occasions. That conversation never transpired. I want them to stop calling me. I would just like to end the contract with them.

I have been with Tech Club for 2-3 years fixing my computer. Every time I need an optimization done on a monthly basis, I get the same story over and over again, that I require a new program. Thus far, I have spent about $12,000.00 fixing my computer with the latest gadgets they want to install.

I am a Senior (70 years) and I cannot afford this. Yesterday, when they tried to sell me something regarding porn issues, I told them I do not watch porn and that I will not be spending anymore money with their programs.

Is this computer company valid?

I will not be spending anymore money on their programs to fix my computer.

Thank you very much,
Peter ***

Refund Like I stated above, I have spent a large sum of money (all done in American dollars) and I feel that I did not have to do this. It should not take $1500.00 dollars American to fix my computer every month. I want my money back. Thank you, Peter

Hello Evelyn;

Yes, I was contacted by Kamal from Global Technology Partners and he explained that in the future this will not happen.
He further explained that I was to speak only to a SUPERVISOR anytime I called in.

I agreed to drop the case.

Thank you,
Peter

Everytime I deal with this company, I end up spending more money. Since I paid easily the first 2 times, they asked again.
Before 2016, I got into a contract with this company but only took a 1-3 year contract because I could not afford their permanent. So then on December 16, 2018, I had a problem with my computers and the great salesman talked me into buying a permanent "Antivirus" for $450 and another "Firewall-hacker Trojan" for $750. On the receipt that they printed out, they said, "Last security you need not to get any security in future from today....Date: 12/16/2018.....All devices+New devices.
Then when I had a problem with my main computer, they told me I needed something else that would cost me another $2000 in order to fix my computer. I hung up on them and when they continued to call me to tell me the urgency of getting it fixed, I blocked their calls.

Desired Outcome

Reimburse me the $1200 I paid on 12/16/2018 which guaranteed me that I would never need anything else. I will stick with Norton or McAfee versus this company that just looks for people (gullible and old) that will pay money to fix their computers.

Global Technology Partners Response • Jun 20, 2019

We spoke to this customer last month and he was satisfied with the service. He told us that he will remove Revdex.com complaint.

Customer Response • Jun 21, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
they gave me a better explanation of what was being asked and why. Possibility of play on words and misunderstanding.

+1

the gtp representative claimed my computer required firewall protection because he found evidence of a foreign hacker on my computer. See atchd file
ON 3/21/19 I contacted GTP to report slow computer processing speed. The GTP representative claimed my computer required firewall protection at a cost of over $1000 against foreign hacker when that is exactly the protection I purchased from them (see my attached file for details of the contract/SOW).

Desired Outcome

If what the GTP representative about finding evidence of a foreign hacker is true then the business should install the firewall protect they claimed to have installed when the contract was consummated last year.

3. Result: Customer said that he will withdraw the complaint after review. We have done everything possible to satisfy the customer. Company is providing customer with what he has paid for and willing to work with him to resolve this asap.

Customer Response • Apr 10, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Although the business response is satisfactory up to a point, the one thing he has not yet responded to is my request for "a satisfactory explanation of why I was told by the technician a week ago that my computer was infected because no firewall protection was installed" when I had already actually purchased that protection from them. What is the business going to do to assure neither I nor others of their customers are not subjected to similar fraudulent attempts to sell services already purchased from them?

Customer Response • May 03, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept the business' written solution and will monitor their future performance in this area. My recent experience with them was quite satisfactory so it appearsthey indeed have implemented their updated procedure. This case can be closed ___ for the present time. Thanks to Revdex.com and the business management.

Global Technology Partners Response • May 03, 2019

Dear Customer & Revdex.com: We have extensively researched the customer complaint and listened to recorded calls. We have instructed our sales team to review notes on existing customers on what is currently purchased and utilized. In this case, the sales representative did not realize they had a similar product installed (but it did need upgraded). We have taken steps to improve our internal process. We apologize again for the inconvenience of the customer. Currently, the customer has stated we are servicing him properly. We have explained the situation thoroughly and have improved our processes on presenting solutions to existing customers. At this point, we ask that this case be resolved. The customer will be assured nobody will contact him to up-sell him on existing similar type services unless upgrades or new software is available. We thank the customer for their business.

While working on my laptop I had a popup that told me I had a virus issue and was not able to continue what I was doing. A phone number was in the explanation I got so I called it. I was charged $500.00 for 3 years computer security and support. This service started on 9/26/18, when my wife contacted them on December 13 because of something that popped up they told her the computer was not secure and it would cost $2,000.00 to fix it. We did not pay them because they were supposed to be providing this service without further charge. Instead we found out after having the computer checked out that they placed all sorts of files on the computer but no security.

Desired Outcome

Refund This company is bogus and they need to make restitution to me and all the other victims they have tricked. They should be exposed as frauds.

Global Technology Partners Response • Dec 20, 2018

1. Consumer Customer called in and stated that they received a notification that their computer had a virus.
2. Our Tech Support center cleaned up their computer and provided a tech support plan with security/virus protection for 3 years.
3. Wife called and and spoke to agent in December. Agent stated they could provide the top solution as a potential solution which is business class security. Full Cloud back-up, hardware warranty, etc was reviewed. Firewalls are not included with offerings and usually sold to business customers. This was merely mentioned, not told that they had to purchase anything else.
4. Customer hung up call halfway through and our agents tried to call them back.
5. Call was reviewed and in no way shape or form was it mentioned that they had to purchase additional services to get computer fixed.
6. We called back several times and customer did not respond.
7. We have a 100% satisfaction policy and have had 2 complaints in 3 years with people wanting their computers cleaned then trying to not pay. 8. If customer asked to speak to a manager they would have automatically refunded the client.
9. The first time we have heard of this complaint was through the Revdex.com. F
10. Full Call Recording was reviewed. At this time, we will refund the money in full but would like to know who told them that we only installed files and no security. This is not true. Good work was completed and the computer was optimized and secured after the initial remote session. There was a never a complaint ever registered with us direct. Not sure why they escalated to the Revdex.com right away.
