Dear [redacted]
This letter serves as a formal response to the complaint listed above.
The customer contacted the Revdex.com because she is requesting that her GTL phone account be credited for 6 calls between February 5th...
through February 27th as well as $4.00 in unexplained charges that were deducted from her account.
We investigated this complaint and contacted **. [redacted] via telephone on March 13th and explained to her that a trouble ticket was issued for her complaint and the results were that there were no issues with the phone system at the correctional facility. We offered Ms. [redacted] copies of her call details, transactions and payment history however **. [redacted] declined our offer.
The $4.00 discrepancy on [redacted]’s account is because the inmate made back to back unanswered calls, when this happens the funds are placed on hold and then released back to the account within 45 minutes to an hour.
There is no refund due to **. [redacted] at this time.
GTL anticipates that this will close this complaint and should you have any additional questions please feel free to call.
Sincerely yours,

facility. We investigated this complaint and contacted **. [redacted] on July 21st. **. [redacted] informed us that her credit card was used by the inmate’s girlfriend on telephone # [redacted] which is a landline that belongs to her mother. The girlfriend was living at the mother’s home at the time. **. [redacted] wanted to know why her mother’s phone number is now blocked from receiving calls from the inmate. We informed her that we received a request on May 5th to transfer the funds to account number [redacted]. It is a GTL requirement to block the phone number once all funds have been depleted from the account. **. [redacted] verified that the account the money was transferred to was the inmate’s girlfriend’s telephone number. The remaining balance in the account is $28.68. We have removed the block on account number [redacted] and transferred the balance of $28.68 back to this account. Unfortunately GTL is not responsible for “Friendly Fraud” therefore **. [redacted] will need to contact the proper authorities to file charges against the girlfriend.GTL anticipates that this will close this complaint and should you have any additional questions please feel free to call.Sincerely yours,

overcharged for her calls. We investigated this complaint and determined that based on the area code and prefix of [redacted]'s telephone number from the facility she is being charged the correct rate. A 30 minute call is $14.00 plus $1.60 in taxes equals $15.60. When you add the cost of the call plus the credit card convenience fee of $6.95 it comes to $22.55. I am attaching a copy of [redacted]'s call records with this letter. The call records also reflect that the inmate calls can be up to 30 minutes, not 15 minutes as [redacted] stated in her complaint.[redacted] can reduce the cost of her calls by purchasing a cell phone number that has the same area code and prefix as the correctional facility where the inmate is located. In this case it would be area code [redacted] and a prefix of [redacted]. This would bring the cost of her calls down to a flat rate of $4.10 plus applicable taxes.GTL anticipates that this will close this complaint and should you have any additional questions please feel free to call.Sincerely yours,Kathi TAgency Complaints

[redacted] account for a call that disconnected prematurely on April 25th 2014. **. [redacted] was advised of GTL’s cell phone policy when she first established her account. trying to get the block removed. on 1/28/2015 we added $7.00 to see if the line will clear and reactivate it as a LEC account. As soon as we have the final resolution I will e-mail it to you.
