unsolicited globe direct deliveries, unable to unsubscribe via phone or email provideddespite several phonecalls to the number provided XXX-XXX-XXXX as well as emails to [redacted]@globe.com I have been unabel to unsubscribe from delivery of globe direct circularsDesired Settlementstop globe direct delivery once and for allBusiness Response Mr. [redacted], My apologies for the inconvenience you have experienced trying to get deliveries to stop.I will have this issue resolved. Please ..should you receive any more deliveries notify me directly at[redacted]@globe.com Thank you for your patience. [redacted]

Globe Direct continues to throw 2 papers at my house every Thursday. I have requested them to stop several times through their phone number and email.I have requested Globe Direct to stop delivering papers to my home more than 5 times now. Each time I am told that delivery will cease however it never does. I requested a letter to be sent stating that delivery will cease. I was told the letter will arrive in 7-10 days. It has never arrived. I can't seem to get them to stop delivering these papers.Desired SettlementStop delivering papers I didn't sign up for.Business Response [redacted], I have received your issue from The Boston Globe yesterday afternoon. I have already contacted the delivery company to cease delivery. Your address has been placed on our 'do not deliver database. If the packages are still there they have been instructed to go by and pick them up. If you receive another delivery next week please contact me directly at [redacted]@globe.com Thank you.

We have made multiple requests that they stop delivering their ads to our house, three via email and many calls to the number listed on the bag. Globe Direct is exploiting residents and wasting precious resources. We live in a single family home and weekly bundles of advertisements in plastic bags are left on our front steps. Each bag contains two complete copies of the ads. We have had as many as three bags left on our steps, often two, and always at least one, despite having written three times and called many other times over the past two years. Globe Direct makes money by claiming huge distribution, when they are doubling all deliveries and sometimes quadrupling or more, only for residents to recycle them. If they stopped delivery when requested, I realize they would earn less money. That's not my problem. I have records dating back to 2013 of our requests to stop delivery and now I'm fed up. Other neighbors have also complained. This company should not be allowed to throw garbage on my property for its own benefit. They are also exploiting those who pay to advertise in their circulars by deliberately overstating their distribution.Desired SettlementI want them to stop delivering to our house, stop wasting resources by delivering double circulars to each residence, and come clean with the companies who advertise with them about their circulation numbers. I have email records of requests dating April 23, 2015, December 12, 2014, and Sept 26, 2013. I have also called and spoken to someone who assured me delivery would stop.Business Response [redacted], I am truly sorry for this inconvenience. I will have this situation addressed immediately. Please contact me directly at [redacted]@globe.com should you receive another delivery. [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I've been told this before, and deliveries continue. I will contact him when I receive the next delivery, but I also requested that they stop double-bagging the circulars and leaving one bag for every household. This artificially inflates their claimed distribution (which makes advertising appear more valuable) and creates an absurd amount of waste. Final Business Response [redacted],I will admit that we have seen a couple of instances of the carrier double bagging, but in situations fof a two family. Obviously, trying to save some time. This is unacceptable and has been addressed. I will be sure to bring it up again in the event it may be occuring again. Thanks you for letting me know. Please contact me if you receive another. [redacted]Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This rings hollow as well, as everyone I know receives two copies in each bag. If its a triple decker, Globe Direct delivers three bags, or 6 copies. I will consider this issue resolved when I stop receiving them. There have been many complaints in my neighborhood from people who have requested multiple times to stop delivery and it continues. The other addresses include:[redacted] St.[redacted] St.[redacted] St.[redacted] St.These are the ones I know of. Others say they don't want it but just recycle it, which is an absurd waste of resources, material and human, especially when multiplied over the entire distribution area. We used to get these in the mail, and when there was finally a way to stop mail delivery, they started appearing on our doorstep. No one should be allowed to leave garbage on private property.

Globe Direct has failed to stop delivering to my house in spite of multiple requests. I have called twice to request that deliveries stop, and tonight I came home to find two copies of Globe Direct on my front step. I tried to email the unsubscribe email address ([redacted]@globe.com) and received a bounce-back - the address was not working. Globe Direct should not be making any unwanted deliveries per their agreement with the City of Cambridge.Desired SettlementNo further deliveries.Business Response [redacted],So sorry for this continued inconvenience. I will be sure the delivery company we contract with ceases delivery effective next week. If you do receive another please contact me directly at [redacted]@globe.comConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)As long as the deliveries actually stop, I will be satisfied. I hope that the Globe also addresses the problem with the bad email address for unsubscribe requests.

Globe direct is a junk mail company that mails us a huge newpaper of junk mail every week, which we throw out immediately, and we want it to stop.Globe direct is a junk mail company that mails us a huge newpaper of junk mail every week, which we throw out immediately, and we want it to stop.Desired SettlementSTOP SENDING US YOUR JUNK MAIL.Business Response Here is what I had received back from our database specialist. Not sure why the PO delivered last week if they did. Certainly, that address is not scheduled to have an addressed package delivered to them this week.If listed as as Do Not Deliver on the mail database we will not produce a package for that address.below is the response I received:The zip's default delivery is USPS. 9 Memory Ln was made DND sometime between 9/1/15 and 9/7/15. It's first effective In-Home date as a DND was 9/18/15 and is still DND. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

Globe direct will not let me to opt out of their "service". During the last years, I have called Globe Direct several times and asked to take my name and address off the delivery list. Deliveries will stop for a while, but then start again.
