Upon review of our database, The Boston Globe notes that there are apartments at this address and Globe Direct delivery is through the [redacted] (***) Apartment has been updated to a "do not deliver" status that will become effective 11/03/ The Boston Globe provides delivery updates to the [redacted] who in turn updates their records every weeks The Boston Globe has no means to manually override the ***' process and expects no delivery will be made for apartment starting the week ending 11/03/17.If the consumer's complaint is in regards to another apartment please supply the apartment number Requests to stop delivery to an entire building must be from the landlord or building management

The Boston Globe re-addressed delivery of the Globe Direct to your address with the distributor. We received written confirmation that delivery was not made during the week ending 12/15/17. This was visually verified by staff from the distributor and we have every expectation that delivery will not recur at your address.

The Boston Globe has verified that your address is set as “do not deliver” in its database. We have communicated your issue to the manager of the distribution branch in your area. We have instructed the manager to review the route details with the carrier focusing especially on the fact... that your address should not receive delivery of the Globe Direct. We have also requested that branch management visually verify that the carrier is following these instructions.

We have never subscribed to Globe Direct, yet we receive a weekly copyI would like to discontinue the delivery of this circular to our addressWe never even open this circularIt goes straight from the mailbox to the recycling binOn the cover, there is a note with a phone number and email address to unsubscribeHowever, I have tried cancelling by that phone number multiple times, and the voicemail is always fullI have also tried canceling by the email address given and that email bounces back as out of serviceI am writing to complain that I cannot discontinue the subscription because the company has information on the circular's front pageThis circular is not useful at all, and I consider it to be very environmentally irresponsibleI have also seen on the Globe Direct Twitter account that multiple people have similar complaints without a resolution.Desired Outcome: I would like the subscription delivered to our address to be discontinued asap

Management at the distributor has been notified of the issue and The Boston Globe has highlighted the importance of resolving the complaint and ensuring there is no re-occurrence. We have requested the distribution manager review the complaint with the carrier and perform a visual verification
that delivery has in fact stopped. As this is a re-occurring problem, should the carrier fail to follow the stop instruction at any time in the future, The Boston Globe will request a new carrier be assigned to the route

Upon review of the Globe Direct address database it was determined that your address was not coded correctly as “Do Not Deliver”. The Boston Globe apologizes for this oversight and has corrected the instructions effective 12/01/17. The database utilized to identify delivery areas
and delivery agents is maintained by the United States Postal Service and updates are only solicited from the Boston Globe on a bi-weekly basis.Unfortunately we have no way to manually intervene in this process so it is likely you will receive one more delivery of the Globe Direct during the week of 11/24/
