Failure to address fraudulent activityOn the morning of [redacted] I received a [redacted] gift card from Globoforce via email as an award from my employer. About an hour after receiving the code, I tried to use it for a purchase, and was told that the code had already been redeemed. I immediately called Amazon customer service, who confirmed that it was redeemed by a different account, then Globoforce customer service, who promised to look into the issue and get back to me ASAP. I explained that I had just received the code that morning, and have the documentation showing that it was sent to my email (which is also my [redacted] account).Days later, I received an email from Globoforce stating that [redacted] confirms that the code had already been redeemed, and [redacted] can be of no further assistance.For over a week now, I have been going back and forth between Globoforce and Amazon customer service, and neither company will step up to the plate for me. All [redacted] will tell me is that Globoforce must report the fraud to their bank to get a refund, yet Globoforce keeps telling me there is nothing that can be done from their end, and I must work with [redacted] for a solution. In other words, each company is passing [redacted] buck, rather than working together, and I am stuck with an unusable [redacted] award. As I mentioned, I have been proactively doing all that I can, working with both sides, to come to a solution to this totally unexpected problem. Given my extended efforts, not to mention the relatively high value of the award, I believe now is the time for Globoforce to do what is right and escalate this issue to assist me in earnest in achieving a solution.Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing back from you.Desired SettlementI am seeking refund/replacement for the award I received, which has been unusable since I first tried to use it over 10 days ago..Business Response Globoforce customer service continues to work with Mr. [redacted]. We've encouraged the complainant to file a police report with his local police department, as this could very well be a case of electronic theft from Mr. [redacted]'s email account. Filing a police report will hopefully enable Mr. [redacted] to acquire more information on the [redacted] redemption code directly from [redacted] as they are precluded from sharing information directly with Globoforce. As Globoforce delivered and granted possession of the e-code to Mr. [redacted] per our process, it's difficult for us to ascertain how the code was redeemed by another individual. We will continue to work with Mr. [redacted] to reconcile this unfortunate circumstance.
