This customer came in to my establishment some time this last December She had in her possession three of our gift cardsShe wanted to know the balances because she wanted to combine them into one to give as a giftWhen we looked them up we found that two of them had already been used and one showed that it did not existAt this point I would like to explain our gift card policyIt states that it is; "Redeemable for services or merchandise onlyNot redeemable for cashNon refundableNot responsible for lost or stolen cards" There is some other language pertaining to booking appointments that is not relative to this issueThere is No expiration date because we choose to do soMassachusetts law allows for a seven year periodEven though we state on the cards that we are "Not responsible for lost or stolen cards", we do our best to prevent this from happeningone of the things we do at the time of purchase is to ask who the gift card is for, or we ask for the name of the person purchasing the gift cardWe then record the name with the numberif you come in for a service and forgot your card at home we can look it up under your name and give you the creditthis is what happened with two of [redacted] 's cardsThey were used and had no balanceAs far as the third card, my software said it didn't existI'm assuming it was because it was over seven years old and the computer deleted itAt that point I offered AND SHE ACCEPTED a gidt card for the missing cardtwo minutes later she stormed into the salon and threw the card at me and said some things that I do not feel comfortable stating hereBottom linewe have been in business for over twenty five yearsWe have an excellent reputation because it's all about our guestsI'm truly sorry I could not this guest happy
This customer came in to my establishment some time this last December . She had in her possession three of our gift cards. She wanted to know the balances because she wanted to combine them into one to give as a gift. When we looked them up we found that two of them had already been used and one...
showed that it did not exist. At this point I would like to explain our gift card policy. It states that it is; "Redeemable for services or merchandise only. Not redeemable for cash. Non refundable. Not responsible for lost or stolen cards" There is some other language pertaining to booking appointments that is not relative to this issue. There is No expiration date because we choose to do so. Massachusetts law allows for a seven year period. Even though we state on the cards that we are "Not responsible for lost or stolen cards", we do our best to prevent this from happening. one of the things we do at the time of purchase is to ask who the gift card is for, or we ask for the name of the person purchasing the gift card. We then record the name with the number. if you come in for a service and forgot your card at home we can look it up under your name and give you the credit. this is what happened with two of [redacted]'s cards. They were used and had no balance. As far as the third card, my software said it didn't exist. I'm assuming it was because it was over seven years old and the computer deleted it. At that point I offered AND SHE ACCEPTED a 50.00 gidt card for the missing card. two minutes later she stormed into the salon and threw the card at me and said some things that I do not feel comfortable stating here. Bottom line... we have been in business for over twenty five years. We have an excellent reputation because it's all about our guests. I'm truly sorry I could not this guest happy.
