Colleen *** brought her kia sportage in for for a diagnosis on a few lights that were illuminated on her dash, the abs and brake, esc and check engine light were all on when we brought her vehicle inThere a number of fault codes that were stored in the computer systemWe had done a full
vehicle scan and to go thru all these faults takes quite a bit of timeColleen was shown all the various problems we sawThe oil pan was rusted thru and dripping oil everywhereThere were faults for the abs system, steering angle position sensor, cruise stop switch failure, and oxygen sensor upstreamThere was a broken sway link in the front endAfter diagnosing the fault codes we called Colleen and explained to her what would be needed to be doneThe faulty steering angle sensor and cruise stop switch were all related to the abs. These needed to be replaced and rechecked afterwards to make sure there were no other problems with the abs systemColleen chose to replaced the oil pan and the broken sway linkShe also authorized the upstream oxygen sensorI had told her on Friday the 31st of Mach that some of the parts were special order and would not see them until MondayWe had received all the parts except the steering angle position sensorOur phone system went down due to the internet until 3:pm on that MondayI was not present when Colleen picked up her carShe did not pay for the Steering angle sensor and did not want us to install that partThe following day I called Colleen to follow up with her to find out why she didn't want to do the steering angle sensorShe informed me that she was having the same lights abs and esc light being on and abs kicking intermittentlyI told her that the steering angle sensor would need to be installed and the whole system rechecked. Its impossible that Colleens car is worse than when she brought her car inThe oil pan is new and not leaking everywhere and sway links in the front are now new and not clunking, and oxygen sensor was replaced for the check engine light. Sometimes there are phases in a repair, the steering angle sensor and cruise stop switch needed to be replaced before any further testing could be doneThe cruise stop switch was completed and steering angle sensor needs to be done yetIf Colleen wants her problems to be fixed, she needs to complete the recommended repairs. When Colleen brought her car back in for me to recheck it she waited and was here for minutes, walked up to the counter and grabbed her keys off the repair order and said she was calling the Revdex.comThat was last time I heard from Colleen until this letter.
