April 29, 2015*** *** ***I received your letter and so let me correct some inaccuracies and propose a solution First of all, I have enclosed the original email sent to us by *** *** which perhaps gives some indication as to how my staff has been treatedAs an employer, I have
a responsibility to ensure a professional work environment for my staffThey do not deserve to be subjected to this kind of language and it is my responsibility to make sure that does not happen. We have seen *** ***s older daughter *** for several years and we have informed her several times that after two broken appointments we would no longer be able to see her childrenShe has not only missed several appointments with *** but she made two appointments for her younger child *** and missed both of them. Our office policy insists on hours notice which we did not receiveOur records are well documented with regards to all missed appointmentsOn the day in question, *** *** daughter *** had an appointment but there was not an appointment for her daughter ***We were willing to see *** and make an appointment for ***, but instead *** *** left the office without *** being seen, once againshowing little regard for our timeIn addition, *** *** did not make sure that her daughter ***'s insurance was assigned to us and we explained to her that is a necessary step before we could see ***. Many of our patients travel long distances to see us because we are one of the few private offices who are committed to serving the entire community of children and so accept almost all insurance programsWe are happy to see *** ***'s children in our Brockport Office as she has requested as long as she understands that if she misses any more appointments without adequate notice she will be dismissed from the practiceIn addition, I simply will not tolerate my staff being subjected to language inappropriate to a professional office.Sincerely,Daniel HG, D.D.S
