Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The business has a statement in their advertisement that says, “Lifetime Guaranty” The reason that I am not satisfied with the service that I paid for is because they did not honor their warranty I had to send my instrument cluster back to them three times because the “GM Gage Guys” sent it back to me broken the first two times I was charges a fee each time and was forced to purchase a back up instrument cluster to use while I waited months for my original unit to finally get repaired I should not have been charged twice for a repair that was never performed properly the first time if they really did have a “Lifetime Guaranty Warranty” Regards, [redacted]

This is the second complaint that I have received from Mr. [redacted] without so much as a phone call to even know he was upset or unsatisfied. The first was through my website, which threw me completely off guard. He stated that he requested a refund but never received it. There was never a phone call or even discussion about any sort of refund. I call Mr. [redacted] after and was able to fix the issue for him. Unfortunately it did cost him and myself money out of pocket. Problem was solved and never heard of any issues until now, without a phone call. Please see entire situation below.Mr [redacted] sent me his gauge cluster for a repair and LED conversion as we have done many times before. There was no particular issues with his gauge cluster and it was repaired, bench tested and sent back out to him. After he received it back from me he called and stated that the gauges did not work, only the lights did. I thought it was very strange and wanted him to complete a simple diagnosis to see if it really was and issue with his gauges or possibly something else with his vehicle. He said he would see what he could do about doing the diagnosis but was unable to find a another similar vehicle. I told him that the diagnosis would be the only way to tell exactly what was going on but if he could not perform it then he could send it back to me. He did so without the diagnosis.Once I received his gauges back, I unboxed them and immediately bench tested them. They worked fine with no issues. I even completed the diagnosis that I asked Mr. [redacted] to complete when the gauges were in his possession. I plugged his gauges into another similar vehicle to see if they would work or not. I was expecting them to not work since Mr. [redacted] stated they didn't. To my surprise they did work just fine in another vehicle. I did not do any other work to the gauges. I wanted to talk to Mr. [redacted] first to discuss any options. I call Mr. [redacted] and told him exactly what I did, how I tested his gauges in another vehicle and they worked fine. I gave Mr. [redacted] the option of having me send them back to him or if he would like I could try to get him a whole completely new gauge cluster to eliminate the doubts of the gauges failing. He requested that I send them back to him. So I did. He called me after he received his gauges back and stated that they still did not work. I again insisted on him doing the simple diagnosis I did myself so he could see his gauges working in another vehicle. He stated he did not have any friends, family members or co workers that had these very popular vehicles but that he would try and see what he could do. I never received a call back from Mr. [redacted], I only received a complaint on my website a few weeks later stating he was never given a refund. I wrote him an email (see attached) because I was unaware of anyone asking for a refund. He stated he would call me to explain. Unfortunately he called while I was at the Dr's office with my infant son. I then received the attached email with Mr. [redacted] thinking I was purposely dodging his one phone call. I called him back after my son's Dr. appointment with no answer from Mr. [redacted]. I left him a voice mail explaining that I was in the Dr's office with my son and just because I didn't answer his only phone call does it mean that I was dodging him. He finally called me back and we discussed the issues he was still having with his gauges. I told him I was unaware he was still having issues because he never let me know. I also told him there was no discussion of a refund since he was supposed to complete a simple diagnosis and let me know the outcome (he still did not complete the diagnosis). I told him that the only option I can give him is to order him a completely new set of gauges. The new set of gauges cost approximately $500. I then told him that I would help him out with the cost. I told him that I would put the original $160 he paid for the repair and LED conversion towards the cost of the new gauge cluster. I ask if he would only pay an additional $100 and that I would cover the remaining $240 + taxes. I also told him that I would do the LED conversion on the new gauge cluster for free. Mr. [redacted] agreed to that offer. I ordered the new gauge cluster, he paid an additional $100 and I paid the rest and did the new LED conversion for free and shipped the gauges out to him. There was no arguing, disagreement or any other issues from Mr. [redacted] when we last spoke. Last I know he received his gauges and I have not heard from him until I received this complaint. Again, without so much as a phone call informing me of any remaining issues. At this point in time I am not sure what Mr. [redacted]'s issues are, his intentions, or what he plans to get out of this complaint. I spent a lot of money out of my own pocket to get him a new set of gauges, even though he was not able to do the simple diagnosis that I asked. If Mr. [redacted] is still having issues with his gauges he can call me directly to discuss. Thanks,[redacted]
