 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
M[redacted] mechanical installed a tankless hot water heater which was located in a 3rd floor loft. I hired a different plumber to replace a cracked sewer drain from the first floor ceiling into the basement. This repair had nothing to do with any portion of what M[redacted] mechanical did. The plumber I hired was not even aware of the tankless as he had no need to touch it. Greg M[redacted] knew nothing of this other plumber until he finally answered my calls after making him aware of this complaint. He even apologized at that time (months later) for not taking care of my urgency. The plumber I hired never went beyond the second floor. M[redacted] Mechanicals work was focused on my third floor renovation.

Review: Greg M[redacted] installed a [redacted] tankless hotwater heater on my third floor along with numerous other renovations in my home. His crew originally could not get the unit to work without loud banging and shaking. The tankless began to leak a few months after it was installed. I called Greg immediately and he sent an employee to look at it. That employee claimed he turned off the main water to the 3rd floor and told me not to use that floors bath until he returned the next day. The water shut off they installed did not work and the employee had removed my towels and plastic containers to catch the water. More damaged ensued and the employee did not return the next day and Greg never returned any communication. My home sustained thousands of dollars in damage from the leak which was determined by a [redacted] technician to be a bleeder valve that was not tightened after installation. Till this day (three months later) I have not heard from Greg.

His crew installed a small electric hot water heater on my 3rd floor loft to heat radiant heat flooring. It was agreed that the radiant could be heated by my boiler in the basement that heats the radiators but yet I come home to an electric hot water heater at the highest point in my home. I replaced the other with a tankless because I didn't want the wasteful hot water heaters. It took the replacement of an element in it 3 times for his crew to get it to function and now less than a year of use It buzzes continually.

The radiator they installed on the third floor worked for 3 months only.

During their time in my home (I was living alone at the time) I found a bag of marajuana in between the joists where they had been working that day.

To date I have an electric hot water heater on the highest floor in my house that buzzes constantly, a radiator on the same floor that doesn't work and I spent the last three months and over $4k replacing drywall and ceiling's (that I had just finished installing and painting) due to water damage caused by their negligence. The third floor water shut offs do not function either.

Mind you this is the first winter this floor has been inhabited after the renovation and almost everything they installed is not functioning. They are not [redacted] certified and Greg neglected to even put the [redacted] installation on his very sparse proposal. I spent $14,000 with GM Mechanical.Desired Settlement: They need to be held responsible for damages caused by the water damage and refund installation charges for appliances currently not functioning so I can get a responsible contractor to repair them. I do not want them in my house after finding the marajuana in my floor.
