Had a deal to purchase a Jeep. I had agreed to a set price to purchase a 2019 Jeep. Then the sales lady said that the owner was in and would like to purchase my vehicle that I was selling to another dealer. We agreed upon a price on it as well. II put cash down and had to get the title for my vehicle I was selling. Less that 24 hours later, I showed up to complete the deal with title and remaining balance due. I did forget to bring a paper showing my trust could sell the vehicle, as it was title in it. I told them I would have it to them tomorrow and I left in the new vehicle. Later that day, I was told that I forgot to sign something and I needed to return to sign a document. When I arrived, I was told that the owner did not like the deal anymore and I had to renegotiate. They still had the title for my new vehicle until I presented them my paperwork. He said he did not know that they had discounted the new vehicle already, so they could not buy my vehicle for the agreed to amount. I had to pay more. I did not have a option other than pay more or tear up the deal and take my old car home. They had the new title still. SHADY PRACTICES!! Do not recommend to anyone. I am a business owner and that is NOT how to conduct business.

I purchased a 2016 VW Jetta. I had about two weeks and noticed that there was a crack in the headlight lens, letting moisture in. When I went in, (they wouldn't take my calls), they told me to take it to their mechanic (Premiere Auto Service). I took it there, they said they were going to order parts, but when I check in today, no parts had been ordered and the person there said they would not be fixing it, unless I paid $500.00. I believe they knew that it was cracked due to some other damage on that same side on the bumper. I paid nearly $14,000 for the car.

GMT Auto Sales Response • Jan 23, 2020

assertion that we are not taking his calls is untrue. We have been available to take his calls during normal business hours any time that he would wish to call us. as far as his claim that the headlight in question has a crack in it, this is also untrue. *** inspected the light, and found no crack. he was never promised the part as he claims. please see the attached "we owe" that Mr Ryan signed, which acknowledges as such. Also, if we were not taking his calls as he claims, then who promised him that parts were ordered? And another question for him is if he noticed damage to the bumper prior to the sale, then why would he have not noticed a cracked headlight? There are multiple inconsistencies with this frivolous complaint. the headlight is fully functional, and passes Missouri inspection. There is no necessity to replace the headlight. We ask the Revdex.com to close complaint in our favor due to the proof provided that he was in fact not promised a headlight, and he seems to be confused as to whether we spoke to him, or we ignored his calls.

I went to 5 dealerships before here. My biggest regret with my most recent truck purchase was wasting 3 days by not going to here sooner. I spent 3 days repeating myself and wasting hours only to find out the salesman didn’t hear anything I said. Called ***, my salesman Mike *** had a truck waiting for me when I showed up. Even though I picked a different vehicle, I was out the door within 2 hours with a monthly payment $100 lower than the best deal I’d been offered.
Unfortunately, even though the truck was exactly what I wanted, it did have a couple little issues that I wasn’t aware of at first. Having bought the truck As Is, I didn’t expect much special treatment. Called Mike, he got me in touch with Joe ***. Now Joe absolutely blew my mind. This guy is amazing. I don’t know how much money he makes but whatever it is, it’s not enough haha. So considerate, and easy to talk to, listened to exactly what I needed. Made sure the parts were in stock, went above and beyond. Handled everything for me and made the process so enjoyable I plan on buying all my vehicles from *** in the future as well as my first recommendation for anyone shopping for a vehicle.
It’s rare to find this level of service anywhere now-a-days. Thank you guys. I couldn’t be happier with the decision to purchase through you!

My fiance and I went to this dealership to get a new car. My mom was going to co-signed for us. We took the paperwork to the DMV and they said there was no clear title on the car. Looking up the car, we discover that it did not pass emissions testing. We tried several times to work all of this out with the dealership but they keep giving us the run-a-round and when they do talk to us the salesman is yelling and screaming. This is very unprofessional. The salesman and the general manager kept cursing us out, when I went to talk to them about my trip to the DMV, but all he would focus on was the fact that my mom, who was co-signing, had not taken her paycheck stub up to him.
At this point they have the check stub, but we still have no title, so we can't get permanent plates. The temp tags are now expired.

Our sales records do not indicate that we sold a *** a vehicle. Can you please verify all names on the transaction, the date of sale, and are you sure you purchased a vehicle from GMT Auto Sales in Florissant ?

I purchased my truck July 2018 with the understanding that it still had the manufacturer warranty...Now a little over a year later my rear end is going out on my truck...I call Chrysler to see about the warranty and they tell me since my truck was purchased in Canada by the dealership I have no warranty on anything and once it came from Canada it voided every warranty. When I contacted the dealership and told them I wasn't informed that if my car was a Canadian vehicle I had no warranty I was told it was my job as a customer to look at the *** and know that...When I told the dealership that I'm sure the majority of there customers don't know that they told me it was nothing they could do for me...Now I have a $30,000 truck with only 56,000 miles on it and I need $4700 worth of repairs...

GMT Auto Sales Response • Oct 30, 2019

We are happy to have our repair shop, Premier Auto Service, diagnose the truck and see if we can help. The warranty was properly explained to the customer at the time of sale in April of 2018, but we understand that the customer may not have a clear memory of the transaction, since he is not even remembering the correct date that he purchased the truck. We explain the Chrysler warranty to any of our customers at the time of sale, so we resent the speculation that the majority of our customers don’t pay attention to our explanation of said warranty. Nevertheless please have the customer contact the dealership and we will schedule a diagnostic appointment to see if we can be of assistance.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

My check engine light came on two weeks after I purchased the car. It is a 2011 Ford Explorer which I purchased from this dealership. I took it to a third party for diagnostic. I contacted the dealership to have them take a look at the car--within the 30 day, 1000 mile warranty. I did write an unfavorable review on ***, and I have tried to contact them before taking it in, to make sure that the repair would be covered and they won't let me talk to a manager or anyone else.

GMT Auto Sales Response • Sep 27, 2019

The vehicle that *** purchased was sold with a 30 day powertrain warranty. Catalytic converters are not covered under the powertrain. warranty. This has been explained to Mrs. James several times. the truck she purchased had 127xxx miles on it at the time of sale. We have offered to repair her truck at a discounted rate, but she declined. Our offer still stands if she chooses to accept. we will not cover the cost 100 percent as she is requesting.

Customer Response • Sep 29, 2019

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:Only within less then a few milea my engine light came I thinl you should pay the entire amount. It is plenty of this wrong with this $14,000 car and I'm for an honest mechanic you work with, ***, to fix it. I already expressed woth my sales consultant that I did not have money aa a single parent in the begin. While everyone was smiling I was thinking when I was promised a car, I didnt think I woulf be working and paying to get it fixed so soon. It sucks! Everyone is happy and friendly until goes wrong. Not fair guys. Be caring for a second out of the salesman mind frame.

Sincerely

GMT Auto Sales Response • Sep 30, 2019

Once again, the car is perfectly drivable, the part is not under warranty, and we’ve agreed to help you regardless. We cannot cover the entire cost as you request but we can provide the repair at wholesale cost.

Bought a car from this dealership, also multiple warranties. I traded the car in, the other dealership bought out the car. When I called this dealership back about getting a refund on my warranties, they told me to call the warranty company. When I called the warranty company they said that it was sold by the dealership and they needed to refund my money. The price of the warranties totaled $4258.00. I have been out there multiple times, and spoken to someone in their office and they keep putting me off for the last four months. I only used the tire warranty once or twice for flat tires, but never used the other warranties.

GMT Auto Sales Response • Jul 22, 2019

My name is *** and I am the manager at GMT Auto Sales. I have attached the cancellations and how much the companies are allowing for the cancellation. We do not set the amount of the cancellation...they take into account not only if you have used the warranty but how long you have had it and how many miles you have put on the vehicle. *** has had the vehicle for 4 years and has put 25,826 miles on the vehicle. *** does not receive anything back on the intire warranty because she put claims against it. If you have any questions, please give me a call at ***.

Customer Response • Jul 26, 2019

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because the only claims we have used were to patch a tire and they reimbursed us $100 after paying up front for the service. We never used the Alpha Warranty. The documents sent by the business look like checks that are issued in my deceased husband's name. Checks should be addressed to me, ***.

Sincerely

GMT Auto Sales Response • Jul 26, 2019

Again, what was stated in the first response, we don't set the refund amount, the warranty companies do. If they don't issue a refund, we can't just sit here and give money away whenever someone states they want money. You purchased a warranty and the amount of refund depreciates with the amount of time you have coverage whether you used the warranty or not, you were covered. The fact that your husband is deceased we would have no idea of that unless you we're to mention it to us. We wrote the checks to the primary owner, what we can do is reissue the checks in your name. If you have any questions please give us a call.

Customer Response • Aug 08, 2019

I called to say that I am satisfied with the resolution.

I purchased 2017 Nissan Altima SV from this dealership about 3 weeks ago. Recently, the check engine light came on. There are some sensor issues I have a warranty with this company. They are still trying to charge me half of the price of the work to be done. Initially, my salesperson told me they would fix the issue.

GMT Auto Sales Response • May 16, 2019

My name is *** and I am the Sales Manager at GMT Auto Sales. I have attached the Warranty that shows what is covered and that there is still a $100 deductible that the customer is responsible for. We are covering the part even though it is not technically covered, but we are asking for the customer to pay the $100 deductible. If you have any questions, please call me at ***.

I purchased s truck in January from GMT. I traded my car in and since I have had 6 repairs done. I have had to catch the bus, rent cars, use uber. All from my own pocket. Not to mention I still have to pay the car note on a truck I barely drive. The car lot would not lend me a temp car. The salesman does not care and always give me the run around. My tags ran out February 6 and I cannot register my car because the company still hasn't given me my title. I call again and again with no answer or responses. Horrible horrible service and horrible cars they know are junk and they over price them. I intend to go further with this. And pray that the hundreds of people who have been used and mischieved come together for a class action lawsuit.

GMT Auto Sales Response • Apr 16, 2019

My name is *** and I am the Sales Manager here at GMT Auto Sales. We had been trying to get in contact with *** to pick up her title it was here all along. *** finally came to pick it up. We spoke about what was going on with her car and there is nothing wrong at the moment. We did however tell her in the future she can bring it back to us so we can have our trusted shop take a look at it! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to call me at ***.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealer on April 1, 2019. On April 2nd, 2019 I heard a noise in the engine and contacted the sales person by text. I was told to bring the car in on April 3rd, 2019 and I could trade for a different vehicle. I dropped the car off the night of April 2nd, 2019 and went to the dealer on April 3rd, 2019. I was told by the manager that I could not trade the vehicle in and that nothing was wrong with the car. I left dissatisfied so I took the vehicle to a Nissan dealer April 4th, 2019 as it still had the power train warranty. The Nissan dealership returned the vehicle to me on April 5th, 2019 and had replaced the entire transmission! At this point I am concerned that something else major will happen with this vehicle and they are not willing to fix it under their warranty. The vehicle only has 22,000 miles and already needed a new transmission. There is no telling what else could go wrong.

GMT Auto Sales Response • Apr 15, 2019

My name is *** and I am the Sales Manager at GMT Auto Sales. *** purchased a 2015 Nissan Altima from us on April 1, 2019. She started hearing a noise when she accelerated and decelerated. She ended up taking the vehicle to *** and they found the noise was a CD in the door rolling around. I have attached their service records showing they did replace the transmission because of a recall not because there was something wrong with it. The work completed was all warranty work and nothing paid out of her pocket. If you have any questions please call me at ***.

Customer Response • Apr 15, 2019

GMT AUTO SALES IS A BIG FRAUD. I CO-SIGNED FOR SOMEONE, GMT AUTO SALES STATED THAT THEY WOULD TAKE MY NAME OFF AS A CO-SIGNER AFTER 6 MONTHS, THEY DIDN'T. THEY DID NOT CHECK TO SEE IF THE ORIGINAL SIGNER *** HAD A JOB. THEY CAME AFTER ME. THE SALESMAN COWBOY WAS A BIG FRAUD. HE EVEN TRIED TO GET HER TO GET INSURANCE FROM HIS WIFE. THIS COMPANY DID NO BACKGROUND CHECK ON THIS PERSON. THEY GAME HER A CAR WITH NO JOB, AND WHEN I TRIED TO GET A CAR AND PRODUCED CHECK STUBBS, I GOT NOTHING. COWBOY WAS FLIRTING WITH *** AND OFFERED HER A VEHICLE. *** TOOK THE CAR AND MOVED TO COLUMBIA, MISSOURI.

GMT Auto Sales Response • Mar 30, 2019

The customer purchased the vehicle on 11/05/2015. Let that first sink in, then realize how frivolous this complaint is. The loan was financed with Midwest Acceptance Corporation, not GMT Auto Sales. Midwest Acceptance always verifies employment and income prior to funding the contract. At no time was *** ever promised that she would be dropped from the loan after six months. *** was a co signer on the loan who accepted responsibility for making the payments in the event that *** failed to do so. The contract that *** signed was for 60 months, so perhaps she is confused as to the length of her obligations as a co signer? I am asking the Revdex.com to please remove this complaint because GMT has done nothing wrong in this transaction, and if *** was so concerned about refinancing her loan after six months, then the time to file the complaint would have been May 5th of 2016.

On February 27,2018 I went to GMT Travers Auto Sales *** to purchase a vehicle 2018 Nissan Maxima salesman *** , I needed a co-signer added my grandad *** , *** went thru a lot of banks to get me a loan, I put 2,000 dollars down I finally got a loan from *** after sitting there for 5 hours. Me and my grandad didn’t have any driving license the day I purchased the vehicle due to being Suspended. Josh went around a lot of ways trying to get me in a car that I wanted , he also tried to put me in different cars I didn’t want. Once *** got me approved thru *** and he knew that bank was going to accept which he told me that. I started signing paper work , I also had to leave there with insurance which you have to have valid Drivers License to get insurance with any company. After signing all the paper work with my name on it , I left the carlot to go pick my grandad up in Illinois in the car I purchased (2018 Nissan Maxima) to take him back to the carlot to sign paperwork. On March 14, 2019 *** from GMT Auto Sales called me this morning and told me that the bank (***) told her that they got verification back from my job stating I’m not on my job anymore, *** never reached out to me. I told *** that I started a new job Monday March 11,2019 she asked where at , and stated she will give me a call right back. *** called back 2 hours later and stated they wanted me to come in and sign paperwork for the new job I started Monday I also related to her I have to be at work at 1:30pm and she called at 12:10 and said she will have the papers printed out and I will be in and out. Once I finally arrived I walked in the door and one of the salesman asked for my keys to check the mileage on the car, *** came back and told me that the bank will not make the offer and never gave the keys back and told me the car have to stay and can I call a *** to leave their property.

GMT Auto Sales Response • Mar 18, 2019

My name is *** and I am the Sales Manager at GMT Auto Sales. I have attached the conditional delivery agreement *** had signed at the time of delivery. The conditional delivery agreement states that purchaser represents all statements and declarations made in their application are correct and true and that the dealership makes conditional delivery of said vehicle. The misrepresentation, untrue, incorrect, misleading, or unverifiable statements entitle us to immediately regain possession as dealer's property. It also states that we reserve the right to charge, at our sole discretion, penalties, costs, and other damages as the dealer may chose, including, but not limited to, a rental fee of the greater $50 per day or part of day or $1.00 per mile driven by the purchaser. *** purchased the vehicle with 48,262 miles on it and she returned it to us with 50,012 miles, hence the $1750 she was charged. We usually charge a restocking fee and re-detail for $300. If you have any questions please call me at *** or email me at *** .

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: They took my money and got the car back, and it was only 15 days which I was suppose to jus come in and sign paper work for my new job, and I had a co-signer on the car with me , that has income also. And my carnote wasn’t due yet. I want my money back once I sign paper work for the car everything suppose to be verified before I left the carlot. They misled me in order to swindle my money. It’s a scam, inside their business it say we do not rent cars, this is not a rental place, and they still haven’t put my 245.00 on my card from the rest of my money they owe me which is 1,750. False advertising !

Sincerely

GMT Auto Sales Response • Mar 19, 2019

There is no false advertising. You signed the paperwork with the conditional delivery and the terms. The financing fell through because you quit your job without the deal being funded, meaning the bank kicked the loan and would no longer loan you the money. We had to take back the car and we kept the money for the miles you put on our vehicle!

I went to this location because they had a $500 discount in an ad. I purchased a 2005 Toyota 4 Runner in 2/2019. I put down $2000. The car didn't have a side view mirror on the driver's side and the windshield was cracked. The emissions and safety inspections were expired. They were trying to get the emissions and safety inspections. The sun visor is broke. They fixed the windshield. I took the vehicle to *** who fixes cars for GMT. I was sitting there all day. There's a seat belt in the back that doesn't work. I went to get my plates and I couldn't because there is no title. They told me if I received any tickets, they would reimburse me for them. They told me they would pay any penalties for registering my car late. I am still waiting on the title from them. On the contract, it states I only owe $8000, but when I call to pay the car note it says I owe $12000. I am driving around and getting tickets on this vehicle.

GMT Auto Sales Response • Mar 07, 2019

My name is *** and I am one of the Managers at GMT Auto Sales. We have attempted to call *** and and left several messages and we haven't heard back. The title is here waiting for her to pick it up. She can come at any time to pick it up. If you have any questions please give me a call at ***.

I purchased a car from this company on February 11th, 2019. I traded in a vehicle with this company. They stated they would send me the title on the vehicle in a couple days. About 2 days after the purchase, I began to have some problems with the vehicle. They referred me to a company to set up an appointment and make the repairs. On the 14th, the car was in the shop and the problem was corrected. My temp plates are set on March 12th, 2019. I went to the DMV on February 28, 2019 to the plates updated and I was told that the dealership did not have the title on this vehicle. They have already auctioned my old car and do not have it any longer.

I purchased a wheel and tire plan for my Porsche *** when I purchased the vehicle.
Unfortunately my vehicle was deemed a total loss after I was robbed. Upon settlement I was due back over $600 as a refund for the purchase of the whhel and tire package. I notified Amber at GMT Auto andf in her absence also spoke with other sales persons and the General manager about my package. Amber stated she had yet to receive an email and the others always stated someone would return my call. This has not been the case. I went to GMT Auto to speak with Amber and/or the General Manager who were not available at the time of my visit. It has been over 5 months and I have yet to hear anything about my refund.

I have attached the We Owe that *** has signed showing there was nothing owed to him. The vehicles we sell are used vehicles and are not by any means new or perfect. We have a 30 day/ 1000 miles warranty that comes with all of our vehicles that covers the powertrain. on 10/6/18 went in to look at cars. went home with a 2017 jeep patriot, sign all loan paper got temp tags and thought we had a new, great car. Our sales man *** called the next day, to tell us the financing fell thru and they would need 1200. more down or the payments would be at least $80.00 more a month. We had to go out of town that weekend then would return the car that next week. before we could return the car, they repossessed it. we retuned to GMT to get back our trade in, and the 1000. we put down. I was told they were charging us 400. for the repossession. They would only return 600. when I stated that was fine, I will take this up with the Revdex.com. He stated he would keep all my money. Words was said, it got heated. They were very un professional. *** was out sales rep, but we spoke to the manager working on the night 10/19/2018.

I refinanced my car which I purchased from GMT. Less than a month after purchasing it I refinanced the auto with my credit union. I filled out the necessary paper work to received my refund for the GAP insurance that I purchased through GMT. I was told that I would receive my refund within a month. That was in June. I have continued to call their finance manager to find out were we are with the process. She continued to tell me that she was emailing the young lady in charge. This went on for a month. Around August 7th I finally spoke with my sales associate and he stated that some how my paperwork was lost. I called the finance manager to get the company name and number for the GAP insurance. I spoke with a young lady with the GAP company and explained to her what was going on. She had me to fax her the letter showing that I refinance the loan. On the August 14th I spoke with the young lady again and she said that GMT should have the paperwork to refund the money and I should call GMT on Friday. I called on Friday and my sales associate stated that everyone was gone. I called again today and the finance manager had a very nasty attitude. She stated to me, "*** I thought you called the GAP company." I explained to her that I did and that the paperwork was sent to them to refund my money. She stated that *** handles this and that she could not allow me to speak with ***. We are now going into 60 days and I have not received my refund at this time.

GMT Auto Sales Response • Aug 20, 2018

My name is *** and I am the Finance Manager at GMT Auto Sales. I'm sorry this has taken so long, but this is the process that is always taken on cancellations. After cancellations are filled out they get sent to the gap company and we wait for the cancellation check to come. After it clears our bank we write the check. The check hit our bank Friday and it cleared today. Our office manager wrote the check we are waiting for our Comtroller to sign it. Ms. can pick up the check for sure first thing in the morning! We are sorry for all the confusion.

I purchased infinity turbo from this company. Worst decision of my life. I was promised tinted windows by the salesman and it has been now a month and guess what, no tinted windows. He keeps stating that he over spent his income and that he really did not make a commission off of the sale. That sounds like a personal problem to me. So I took the car to the infinity dealer to find out that all of the tires are dry rioted and it will cost $1056 to replace them. the air quite working within 30 days and no type of maintenance had been performed on the vehicle and the cost would be $1015. I know I should have followed my first mind and not purchased from this place because I was given instructions to lie to the finance company when they called to see if the vehicle was working and if I had put any money down on the vehicle. Well it was working until I signed on the dotted line and drove it for 2 weeks. but I did not put any money down and was instructed to say that I did. I am in bankruptcy and I am having my attorney see if I can add this vehicle on the list before the the bankruptcy is closed. I hope this can be accomplished. Word from the wise, if it smells like a rat, it usually is a rat. This place should be completed ashamed of themselves. Oh and I left the president of the company a voicemail today. I will see if that call is even returned.

Do not buy from this company, I repeat, do not buy from this company

On Monday July 16th I started the purchase of a vehicle. I purchased a 2009 Toyota Camery. The car broke down due to engine problems on July 27th. They have had my car since. This company did tell me they would give me a temporary car to use while my car was being worked on but they haven't. They told me I needed more documents to get my rental car. After the car broke down, the following Monday I was basically forced to give them $500 for tax and title. They told me they wouldn't discuss anything more about my car unless I did this. Now, when I try to talk to the person who sold me the car, he doesn't answer my calls or texts. I have reached out to the company to try to talk to the owner, this has been unsuccessful. My issue is if I didn’t have all the documents signed to get a temporary car while mine was being worked on, then I don’t think the purchase of my car is finalized. If it’s not finalized, I should be entitled to a refund. At this point I just want my money back that I have given this company. I did have a warranty on the car as well.

My name is Aaron and I am the Sales Manager at GMT Auto Sales. Ms. had drove the car while it was still overheating and blew a connecting rod through the side block as a result of not getting the vehicle into the shop as directed by us. She has also refused to produce a paystub for her father who had to co-sign on the loan. Ms. came into our store last evening and called the police on us. We spoke with the police and they told her to bring us the paystub so she could get her car back. We are unable to provide a loaner car to Ms. at this time due to the lack of a valid driver's license. Repairs have commenced on the Toyota and we will return custody of the vehicle once all stipulations are met for funding. If you have any questions please call me at *** or email me at *** .

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:
The salesman who sold me the car told me to drive the car to their location when I informed him of the noise the car was making, that is the only reason I was driving the car. So again, how am I to be held liable for something that I had nothing to do with. I only had the car 11 days not two weeks I got the vehicle on Jul. 16,2018 and it broke down on Jul. 27,2018 so obviously there was already an issue with the car when the company gave it to. On Jul 30, 2018 The same salesman *** forcefully took another $500 dollars from me promising to get me a replacement car or a rental and also stated if I didn’t cooperate with him there would be a repossession on my record. How would there be a repossession for a car that you’re saying was never funded. Furthermore he’s constantly lied and now won’t accept any of my calls or texts, when I went to the office on Aug.8, 2018 they lied and told me he wasn’t there and he was observed sneaking out of the building.Yes I called the police because after requesting this documentation that they have of this car that they’re illegally taken my money for he wouldn’t give me a copy. *** also never gave me a copy he claimed he would give me and I never received. So I just want a refund because the co-signer that they speak of has backed out and no longer wants to complete this deal due to this companies actions thus far. I only want a refund which by all means and everything that has went on I’m entitled to especially if they can’t get the bank to fund the deal.

Sincerely
