Condo we rented was dirty, with numerous cockroaches. Pictures online and description were extremely misleading.
We rented a condo from Go Disney Vacations for the week of 4/16/19-4/22/19 online through ***. When we arrived at condo we noticed immediately that the actual condo did not match the pictures that were posted online, along with the description of the area. The condo we dirty, had mold, and we found several cockroaches upon entering. We immediately called one of the owners to have them please call us back, he never did. I called the other owner, Anthony S, he told me that I was lying, was rude and condescending, and refused to help in any way.

Desired Outcome

I offered to pay for the 1 night we stayed. I asked for a credit for the other nights and was told no refunds were given liars, by the condo owner, Anthony S.

It is unfortunate that the guest did not like the condo they rented. We know how important it is to provide great vacation condos and our reviews show that we succeed at doing so. When we sometimes fail at minor details, we correct them. This was not one of those times.

The guest's initial complaint was that when they arrived at 11pm the car they parked next to had a "mask" in the window and that made them feel unsafe. They also claimed the glass patio door slider that leads to a screened patio was opened and a window in the bedroom was unlocked. They also pointed out that the entry door has 3 locks. None of this is listed in complaint made here to the Revdex.com. The guests stories have been inconsistent from what they have told us, the reviews that they have written and what they have reported to the Revdex.com.

The guest had posted on *** a picture of the mask which is now gone from the listing. It was a white Theater Mask similar to a mask from a Shakespearean play. We do not believe that the glass slider was open. If a window was left unlocked, than they could have easily locked it.

As far as the entry door locks, One lock is the Electronic Door Lock, the second one is a deadbolt lock which most doors come with and the third lock is an inside deadbolt lock that the door comes with that acts similar to a chain like in a hotel.

It was odd that a mask hanging from a rear view mirror and door locks would make some unsafe.

After they felt we did not responded quick enough the list started to grow.....

The guest arrived at the condo after 11pm. They left a message on voice mail in the morning. By the time I got to the office and got situated for the day and listened to voicemails, The guest had called back and left another voicemail saying they had already called *** to make a complaint. When we called back they did not answer the phone. We then spoke after that.

The "Mold" they are claiming was a water stain from the AC Unit. We do not have mold in any of our condos.

Since January 2019 we have had 15 different guests stay in this condo as well as one guest stayed the entire month of February 2019. After the guest left we have had 4 more guests stay and no one reported any sign of a cockroach. That is because there wasn't any there.

The statement below from the guest is not only false it is a statement from the *** Website that might give the guest grounds for money back. We did not falsely represent the condo or the area. Otherwise the other 21 guests that stayed in this unit in 2019 probably would have let us know.

The guests phone call was returned, they just didn't like the answer they received. Again, I'm sorry that the guest didn't like the condo, but we stand behind our condos.

Perhaps some of the 15 different guests that stayed here were threatened with being contacted by Anthony's lawyer if they left a negative review, as we were. Anthony was reported to *** for harassment for these said communications to us. Funny, still haven't heard from this lawyer and its been several weeks now, sounds like a tactic Anthony has used in the past to get renters to take down negative reviews, didn't work this time, however.

I've attached my text conversation with Anthony (his responses highlighted in yellow) to show exactly how he interacts with his paying customers. As well as a picture of one of the cockroaches we found, the first two were flushed down the toilet. The bottom line is whether he agreed or not with our issues with the property, this is not how you deal with customers, and anyone who rents from GoDisneyvacations, or from him directly, should know this is who they are dealing with if an issue arises. Neither, Anthony, or his partner, Scott, ever made a single effort to try and resolve this with us, IE, perhaps move to another property they had that may be more suitable, issue some sort of refund, etc. Instead, all we received was a condescending, unprofessional individual, as the attached text messages between he and I clearly show.

My wife an I...along with my sister and brother in law stayed at one of their condos,at Legacy Dunes ..the condo unit was 2-205...the condo was filthy..it had a horrible odor..as soon as you opened the door..we had to get air freshners..and leave the patio door open to try to get the odor out..We tried contacting the owners several times...there were roaches..in the kitchen,laundry room and bathroom's
The owners never returned our calls or text messages..we also took pictures and sent them to the owners...After we were home..they put on trip advisor..what we put on there for a review..was all Fabricated...Our vacation was ruined.

Unfortunately this guest was not satisfied with the condo they rented but used for 7 nights. They wrote their review of how they felt about the condo, asked for all their money back and threatened to notified the Revdex.com if we didn't. Although we did not agree with their review, we returned their cleaning fee. They cashed the refund check and are still not satisfied. We have had several guests since their reservation and received positives reviews. We are again sorry that they were not happy with the condo.

I agree that we was not satisfied. I also agree that we stayed 7 nights. They was both texted and called and left messages and never rresponded back to us are entire 7 days. Which we had too with over 1000.00 invested in renting this condo and no where else to go. I am also sending a few photos. The first is in the kitchen. The second is in the corner of the dining room. The third is in the hallway by the kitchen. The forth was in the master bath. I do not call this a respectable place to stay when it is this filthy and infested with cockroach's.

Again, Sorry we didn't meet the guests expectations. We have had 7 different guest reservations in this condo since the time this guest left and have not had a complaint. We offered the guest compensation and they accepted it by cashing the check.

I see this is going nowhere. I have submitted the pictures to show the condition of this condo when we arrived. My wife used Clorox wipes and cleaned up the best she could. If this is how you want to operate your business so be it. My testimony is truthful and not fabricated . I will pray that God guides you in a different different direction. God Bless
