In response to complaint # [redacted] This is the customer's original complaint - typed up as the customer spoke during drop offCUSTOMER STATES "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON - KNOWS IT'S AN EGR CODE - HAS BEEN DRIVING WITH THE LIGHT ON AND NOW IT'S SPUTTERING A LITTLE - HAS A LOT OF CODES IN THE CAR RELATED TO THE EGR VALVE." Upon original inspection of the Malibu, our technician agreed with the customer that the vehicle was in need of an EGR valve, but also found multiple missfire codes and that the ignition cable set was not making a good connection due to one of the wires being broken The vehicle ran horrible as would be expected with a broken ignition cable Upon obtaining authorization to begin repairs, our technician replaced the ignition cables & EGR valve but the vehicle continued to shake and run poorly The technician suspected that the Malibu had an internal mechanical issue going on beneath the valve cover and requested authorization to remove the valve cover and inspect the customer "declined" and decided to pick up the malibu Total $spent to replace EGR valve and ignition cable set The Malibu was brought back two days later with the approval to remove the valve cover and look for mechanical issues Once apart, the technician found that the rocker arm was completely detached and flying freely beneath the valve cover At this point we contacted the customer with the repair options, removing the head and performing a head job / valve job was not in the budget for the customer A possible cost efficient sollution would be hela coil the broken rocker arm with no guarantees of performance We would simply attempt to repair the damaged threads and resecure the "rocker arm." We completed the repair for a total of $The total dollar amount spent in our shop was $not the $suggested in the complaint That cost included an oil change & and customer requested EGR valve The AC system was not touched in our shop while performing engine repairs Upon the customer complaining that the ac no longer worked we did identify a leak at the compressor and found no freon in the system, we attempted to charge at no cost to the customer but the ac compressor was found to be very noisy Unfortunately we had never performed ac repairs on the Malibu so could not fit any repair under the warranty umbrellaWe strive for 100% customer satisfaction here at Go Greene Automotive, I'm sorry that was not achieved in this case We will strive to get better going forward and always appreciate the feedback In this case even though we did not touch the ac during repair we gave the customer a free recharge valued at $125, and really bent over backward to attempt save the engine even though the damage was most likely done by the customer driving too long on "known" issues as admitted upon original drop off by the customer We bent over backwards for this customer, unfortunately in this case we are unable to satisfy what we feel are unreasonable requests in repairing an ac system we did not damage Thank You [redacted] Go Greene Auto [redacted]

To whom it may concern, To my knowledge this complaint had been resolved when we were given the opportunity to fix the clients problems.Thank you

In moving forward, [redacted] if you have any further concerns please feel free to contact me personally, we can see what we can do about making this rightWe really have responded to this complaint multiple times with ***It is our policy to extend a month 24,mile warranty on all the work we do We do not however offer refundsWe will however address all of your concerns and fix your vehicle properly Thank you

In response to complaint ID *** *** *** brought her Sprinter to us originally and all communication about work being done to the *** Sprinter was communicated to *** not *** *** who got involved only when their
vehicle broke down in Dallas and he spent around $5,at the dealer with no change in the drivability of his Sprinter, although misdirected I do understand his frustration. I will respond to each of *** *** complaints. ** *** stated that - “they returned my vehicle saying it was in working order and it wasn'tThis resulted in over $10,in damages and related costs due to contamination of the fuel system “ Response - The vehicle definitely was not in proper working order. When *** *** took the Sprinter to Dallas, the check engine light was on and the vehicle would die at stops. Unfortunately *** made it very clear that the art work stored in the van and making it to her show in Dallas was her livelihood and not using the vehicle to transport the *** art “was not an option”......at that point I suggested *** *** get a pocket scan tool device so she could communicate with her Sprinter, I also said call us with any new codes or any problems she ran into on the road “They said they'd make me whole, and repair the problems and then, not only didn't do so, they moved my vehicle to another shop...without my prior approval“ Response - After *** *** got burned at the dealership I did promise to take into account the money he had spent here and get his vehicle diagnosed and repaired. Once the vehicle arrived I spoke with *** *** about getting his fuel issue concretely diagnosed by Austin's certified Bosch shop. They rebuild, test, and replace Bosch diesel injectors and that is what the Sprinter appeared to need so we took his vehicle to them to concretely diagnose the issue. Unfortunately when receiving the quote to repair the vehicle *** *** did not approve the repairs, therefore my hands were tied going forward *** *** *** *** Go Greene Automotive

A- In or around my Client began experiencing various problems with his Dodge Sprinter and he brought it to Go Green for serviceAgreed B - On or around January 26, 2015, my client agreed and paid Go Green $8,to rebuild the engine on the Sprinter. A material
element of the transaction and consideration for the engine rebuild was a five year (or seventy-five thousand mile) warranty on the newly rebuilt engineMr*** did pay $8,to rebuild his motor with a year 75K warranty. A couple of key items declined by Mr ***, he declined replacing the turbo although we found play on the impeller and he only approved replacing of his diesel injectors. As stated on Mr***'s receipt, his warranty did not cover the remaining old diesel injectors C - Shortly after the work was completed the engine began exhibiting signs of failure and was leaking fluids and oil. My client brought the vehicle back to Go Green and it was looked at and serviced. However, the problems persisted and again in October my Client took the Sprinter in and it had another gasket leak which Go Green again repairedMr*** came into Go Greene irate that he had spent $8,to rebuild his motor and had an oil leak. He was also very upset that we had thought he needed a turbo to make the vehicle run right when in fact he needed an EGR valve. We agreed with Mr*** that we had missed on the diagnosis of the Turbo causing the poor running condition. At this point he had a sit down lunch with Mr*** where they came to a compromise. Mr *** gave Mr*** $2,in shop credit (he immediately spent on repairs to his other truck a Ford F250) and agreed to remove the engine and go through it himself and also agreed to install power locks on Mr ***'s sprinter. Power locks were installed at no charge to Mr***. When Mr*** went back through the Sprinter he noticed a very big change. The catalytic converter had been removed from the Sprinter entirely and the PCM reprogrammed so it would not set off a check engine light. This work is illegal and was NOT performed at Go Greene Automotive, but can cause drastic changes in the vehicle engine performance, and can cause adverse effects to the motor and transmission D - Then in January the Sprinter overheated and the radiator overheated and blew the radiator cap off of the engine rendering the vehicle unusable. My client had the vehicle towed but Go Green refused to honor the warranty and only agreed to fix the radiator after they charged my client yet another fee. Around the same time the "check engine" light started coming on in the vehicle. Frustrated with the poor quality work from Go Green my Client brought the vehicle to Benny Boyd Bastrop where the problem was diagnosed as a faulty EGR valve (and not the turbo as previous diagnosed by Go Green)We received a call from Mr*** on Jan19th apologizing that he didn't bring his vehicle directly to us but it had broken down near Benny Boyd. He asked for a quote on replacing his radiator. We provided it to Mr*** and brought the vehicle in to Go Greene the following morning on 1/20/16. We proceeded to replace his radiator and performed an oil change at a charge of $that was approved by Mr*** and paid for upon pickup. On 2/25/Mr*** returned with the Sprinter stating that he was "having a coolant leak and having to add coolant every other day". We found that the newly replaced radiator was leaking from the seam of the built in overflow tank, we immediately warrantied out the radiator at no charge to Mr*** and got him back on the road the same day. There as no mention of a check engine light in or around this time by Mr***. The trip to Benny Boyd as documented in the receipts provided by Mr*** show that we repaired the vehicle after Benny Boyd looked at it. There was no mention by our tech, Mr***, or in the Benny Boyd paperwork of any check engine light or drivability issues other than slowly losing coolant E. Around May 7, 2016, the radiator started leaking again and my client approached Go Green to make the repairs. Again Go Green refused to honor the warranty and it would declined to work on the vehicle and make repairsOn May 1st, Mr ***'s employee came in saying that he was losing coolant when he was carrying a loaded trailer up hill, we pressure tested the cooling system at no charge to Mr*** but could not replicate the leak, so we replaced the thermostat & flushed the cooling system again at no charge to Mr***. F. It is important to note that throughout this time period the vehicle exhibited numerous other issues and problems but again Go Green refused to honor the warranty and service the issues. Moreover representatives of the company at Go Green told my Client that the company was under new ownership and they were not obligated to honor the previous warranty. Also *** *** spoke to my client and said he's like "to make it right" but that he didn't feel it was his place because he'd sold the companyMr*** demanded an entire new engine be put in the vehicle or he was going to be forced to take legal action. The vehicle was driven to Go Greene, not towed to us at any time in 2016. Any issues know to us on Mr***'s Sprinter were more likely due to the illegal Catalytic converter removal and the declining of replacing the Diesel injectors than the mechanical parts replaced during the engine rebuild. G. With no other options my Client took the vehicle to Freightliner of Austin to be diagnosed and properly repaired. Freightliner inspected the vehicle and discovered that the injectors were not properly torqued down and there was broken bolts in the cam cover. Additionally, the injectores were not properly tightened and they were leaking due to the injector seals being damaged due to improper installation. Freightliner made the necessary repairs and the vehicle has been running smoothly with no additional problems sinceMr***'s temperament in his relationship with us at Go Greene is best described as bi-polar. On multiple occasions he has gotten angry enough to yell at us in front of customers. He has repeatedly yelled and used profanity toward Go Greene employees. We have bent over backwards to take care of Mr*** and get his company truck back on the road the same day if possible. His unreasonable demand for a new engine finally pushed the relationship over the breaking point. Mr*** has put nearly 40,miles on the vehicle since rebuilding the motor. If the damage Freightliner found was due to "improper installation" there should have been signs right away rather than 40K miles later

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Hi [redacted] -First off I took my car into Go Greene Automotive after there had been a check engine light on in my car and me, who likes to know whats going on with my car before I take it to a shop went and had the code read at auto zone. And please let me be honest here, there was initially ONE code on the car that was for an EGR valve, I spoke to the man at auto zone who I know is not a mechanic, but lets be honest he could be. He told me that an EGR valve would be fine to drive on for a short while but I should get it looked at by a shop I trusted. I specifically asked if any harm could be done to the engine and he said no. So before I took the car to your shop, I had the check engine light read again, there at auto zone and there were three codes this time ALL pertaining to an EGR valve. I took my car to your shop that morning knowing my car needed work and knowing that it was going to cost some money and I apologize if my budget is not a big as yours is over at Go Greene [redacted]. Around noon I spoke to you and I was informed that the EGR valve needing replacement I will agree with you on that fact and that there were coils, is what I was told needed to be replaced as well which may or may not fix the "Bigger" issue which I was unaware, I had a bigger issue with my car, until it got to your shop. Now for the record I had had the car for about 9 months when I took to to Go Greene and yes it was an older car but all I could afford and the car was running just fine the almost year I had. There were no noises the ac was great the only known problem I knew of, I had according to the codes read on the car for the entire life of the car was an EGR Valve.Lets continue, as I had used Go Greene before I had some trust in them services and abilities. So when [redacted] said that the Coils needed replacing I took him for his word and Go Greene's word that they were doing an honest job.Now before I got the car back I spoke with [redacted] and he informed me that the car was running a little ruff but should be fine even though I had opted out of the "recommended" extra work on my car which was estimated to be around $1000. I had to have one of the mechanics pick me up from work I got to the shop at close I paid and went outside and got in my car and it honestly wont start at first after a few attempts it started and was in HORRIBLE shape. I barely made it home terrified the whole way home that the car was going to break down on me!! It was making all sorts of noises and would shake uncontrollably when stopped at a light I recall.I of course had to take my car back the very next day, I requested that the mechanic review his work please which I called at noon and they hadn't even looked at it so by 4 pm I get a call saying the mechanic has reviewed his work and there was nothing wrong with the job they did. So I got a ride home and left the car there over night. The next day we decided to get the rocker arm bolt re threaded as was explained to me was getting done which could have been done the day before.I went to pick up my car the third day it was there and and it was still driving horrible and it was making a loud ticking noise. When I called Go Greene the next day I was told unbeknownst to my knowledge that the car was making that ticking noise before I dropped it off. As I drove the car around, it was then that I noticed that the ac wasnt working after I had picked up the car from Go Greene which it never returned. I called and spoke to [redacted] again about the ac not working and he insisted that they did not touch the ac. Which is odd him now saying that they preformed an ac charge on it?? well I called the Chevy dealership here in Austin and they informed me that on a 2003 Chevy mailbu which was the car that was taken to Go Greene, they would indeed have to move the ac to get to the rocker arm which is on the lower portion of the car. There was never any ac charge done to my car by Go Greene unless of course was done with out my knowledge as was with the breaking of my car. I have the receipts from both bills that were submitted to me from Go Greene I will have to look at them again more closely for the exact verbiage on there for all work done but I know there was never ANY work done to my ac other then breaking it which I was informed would cost 700 to replace. I was unaware of a leak on the compressor this info was never relayed to me or why would I have gone to Firestone and had an ac check done on the car which I can furnish receipt of as well. And now the last piece of puzzle served to me by Go Greene was that one month AFTER the EGR valve was "fixed" the code came back one.Now I apologize for my misstatement that I wanted to be refunded 700 I would like to to be refunded all my money I gave you for servicing my car as I did not pay you to break it permanently and never fix the initial problem and I'm sure I didn't pay you to ruin the engine or the ac which as a result I had to sell the car for scrap metal one month after leaving your shop.Thank you for your time.

However in the three months since my initial complaint there has been no response from Go Greene Automotive except for today. I feel disrespected because it will take me what 30 minutes, maybe to respond when it took your company Go Greene Automotive 3 months and I got what, a minimal very basic response and no apology for my time being wasted or that of the Revdex.com's. You have now ripped my off, destroyed my car and now you disrespect me. And in your response claiming that you have responded to [redacted] the Manager of [redacted] who it had to be escalated to because of your failure to respond, was a continued lie from we did not break you car, we did not over charge you and we respect our customers.

I am rejecting this response because: go green auto say they did not remove catalitic converter and they most certainly did I was advised by [redacted] the mechanic that go green  fired that he removed the catalitic converter that I didnt need it and I would get much better gas milege I passed this info onto [redacted] that same day  and in my meeting with the owner [redacted] I advised him also and he stated he would look into it when he broke the engine down  which [redacted] told me [redacted] didnt even do because he had a bad back asfor the injectors I was told by [redacted] shop mgr that all injectors would be sent to manufactuer to be inspected I did not have a choice of what to decline . in the first stages of this prject go greene did try a rebuilt turbo and it didnt work. ii was told by [redacted] and [redacted] that the turbos that were rebuilt where junk . itook the van to benny boyd where they had replaced to turbo 2 years ago  and the said they would replace it at no cost well in replaceing the turbo it did not fix the limp mode problem they did  tell me it was the egr valve I paid them to replace it and it ran like a dream until it started leaking oil again and I took it back to gogreen they towed it the found a leak at the rear main seal for the transmission they fixed  that issue then I started having issues with the transmission I took it back to go green and I was present when the mechanic checked the tranny fluid and it was 3 quarts low. we also had several head gasket leaks at one point they replaced the head gasket and I picked up the van as they called and said it was ready I drove it 70 miles back to smithville and smelled oil lifted hood only to find that tey had forgotten to put the valve cover back on and oil was everywhere and yes that drove me to a near breakdown as when I had it towed back to gogreen they acted like no big deal. the info that I received from freightliner was that it was how the injectors where installed not the injectors themself I can go on all day I am shocked and appalled that [redacted] the so called mgr is willing to lie so freely  and by the way when benny boyd found it wasnt the turbo they charged me for the work and for new egr valve.

In response to complaint #[redacted]..... This is the customer's original complaint - typed up as the customer spoke during drop off...... 1. CUSTOMER STATES "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON - KNOWS IT'S  AN EGR CODE - HAS BEEN DRIVING WITH THE  LIGHT ON AND NOW IT'S SPUTTERING A  LITTLE - HAS A LOT OF CODES IN THE CAR  RELATED TO THE EGR VALVE." Upon original inspection of the Malibu, our technician agreed with the customer that the vehicle was in need of an EGR valve, but also found multiple missfire codes and that the ignition cable set was not making a good connection due to one of the wires being broken.  The vehicle ran horrible as would be expected with a broken ignition cable.  Upon obtaining authorization to begin repairs, our technician replaced the ignition cables & EGR valve but the vehicle continued to shake and run poorly.  The technician suspected that the Malibu had an internal mechanical issue going on beneath the valve cover and requested authorization to remove the valve cover and inspect.  the customer "declined" and decided to pick up the malibu.  Total $312.03 spent to replace EGR valve and ignition cable set.  The Malibu was brought back two days later with the approval to remove the valve cover and look for mechanical issues.  Once apart, the technician found that the rocker arm was completely detached and flying freely beneath the valve cover.  At this point we contacted the customer with the repair options, removing the head and performing a head job / valve job was not in the budget for the customer.   A possible cost efficient sollution would be hela coil the broken rocker arm with no guarantees of performance.  We would simply attempt to repair the damaged threads and resecure the "rocker arm."   We completed the repair for a total of $140.08. The total dollar amount spent in our shop was $452.11 not the $700 suggested in the complaint.  That cost included an oil change & and customer requested EGR valve.  The AC system was not touched in our shop while performing engine repairs.  Upon the customer complaining that the ac no longer worked we did identify a leak at the compressor and found no freon in the system, we attempted to charge at no cost to the customer but the ac compressor was found to be very noisy.  Unfortunately we had never performed ac repairs on the Malibu so could not fit any repair under the warranty umbrella. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction here at Go Greene Automotive, I'm sorry that was not achieved in this case.  We will strive to get better going forward and always appreciate the feedback.   In this case even though we did not touch the ac during repair we gave the customer a free recharge valued at $125, and really bent over backward to attempt save the engine even though the damage was most likely done by the customer driving too long on "known" issues  as admitted upon original drop off by the customer.  We bent over backwards for this customer, unfortunately in this case we are unable to satisfy what we feel are unreasonable requests in repairing an ac system we did not damage.   Thank You [redacted] Go Greene Auto [redacted]

In moving forward, [redacted] if you have any further concerns please feel free to contact me personally, we can see what we can do about making this right. We really have responded to this complaint multiple times with [redacted]. It is our policy to extend a 24 month 24,000 mile warranty on all the work we...

do.  We do not however offer refunds. We will however address all of your concerns and fix your vehicle properly   Thank you
