Regarding the retracting statement from the customer, once again about the mechanic specializing in motorcycles, his degree shows he received an education in Automotive technology, cars and trucks in generalSecondly, I was the one that stated that I didn't see fluid coming from the struts, not the mechanic, and her friend corrected me as did my mechanic when they came back to tell us what he thought is going on with the truck I thought they were hydraulic as some are, and these were gas struts, but no problem we were willing to change them, but she didn't want my mechanic to touch the struts, not because they were put on wrong, not because he doesn't know how to put them on, but because for whatever reason she just does not want him to touch the truck The reason that the customers mechanic made up regarding why the struts were going bad, was something my mechanic never heard of and went to go look up on our computer (which I have access to a program called *** *** that lets us understand issues going on with the vehicle that we might not know off hand, all makes and models) and after still had nothing to say about it because he could not find an existing problem as suchGo Tire has acknowledged the customers concerns from the beginning, I have a text from her in December asking me to check her struts, we did, they were bad and we changed them Never was there another concern until June of that we had to warranty them for the 3rd time At that point we pointed out other problems that we thought could be hurting the struts ( ieball joints, control arm, bushings) but it was never stated that this IS the reason why, but could've been the reason why, we were never 100% as was stated by the customer The ball joint was bad which we showed her and was worth changing either way Go Tire now has lost the warranty on the struts but is still willing to exchange them with new ones as long as she brings me the ones that are on her vehicle first before I give her new ones or let my certified mechanic put them on for her at no extra cost

Go Tire replaced the front struts as they were needed in December of 2014.  As part of the 1 year warranty that was given (parts and labor) it was covered when they needed to be changed, both needed to be changed in March of 2015 and then each one was seperately was re-warrantied (once in May...

of 2015, and June of 2015).  There was definitely something else going on because those struts are [redacted], which are a quality brand compared to most aftermarket brands,  a brand a lot of companies use with no problem.  I personally have them on my vehicle all 4 and they are quality.  At that point we did look at other possibilities of what could be causing to make the struts go bad so quickly, and a lower ball joint was changed in August of 2015.  Other items were brought up but nothing was done.  The customer then calls on November 24th, 2015 stating the struts were giving her problems once again and that she took the vehicle to another mechanic (friend of hers he said) and this mechanic stated that the Drive Shaft which turn the Axles of the truck produce so much force that the pressure is unable to be withstood by the struts and they brake.  I discussed this with a service manager [redacted] in [redacted] ###-###-####who has worked with [redacted] for over 5 Years and he agrees that the Drive Shaft has absolutely nothing to do with the performance of the struts on a truck.  The customer was given an option to change the struts one last time since the warranty is up on December 14th, 2015, but she refused stating that she didn't want the mechanic at Go Tire to touch her car, that the license the mechanic at Go Tire isn't valid (not that she ever inquired about it previously, nor do we advertise so) because he received it in Puerto Rico.  Puerto Rico is American territory and has been for years.  He graduated in 2011, from [redacted] in Bayamon, PR ###-###-####, and has worked at dealerships in [redacted].  The customer wants a resolution, and she believes what the other mechanic is telling her, so I told the mechanic no problem I'll change the struts and then you can do whatever else you think is the problem and resolve the issue.  At this point, I feel Go Tire has exhausted all options on trying to resolve the matter.  After the amount of work done on her vehicle I feel we tried our best to resolve her issues.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  The company claims they have tried different options to resolve the problems when in fact they did not and claim not to know what the issue is. I have been having same recurring problem with the parts they install. The mechanic that was working on my car does not specialize in truck which I did happen to inquire about it after the numerous problems I've had. The mechanic told me himself he only specializes in motorcycles and that that's what his certification was on. When I went again to let them know the issue is still consistent a different mechanic checked it out and he didn't even know or couldn't tell what kind of struts I had. The mechanic that came with me to show them the issue has many different certications that are relevant to automatic engineering along with having his own businesses. They did tell me to switch a ball joint which I did, and then they tell me to change the front lower control arms(that come with the balljoints). Each and every time I went to fix something, there was another issue. At Go Tire they are not knowledgeable about what they're actually advertising. It is in my best interest and safety of my family not to let them continue working on my vehicle. As the new mechanic was explaining to them what was going on with my truck they didn't know how to respond especially when he explained to them why the struts were not leaking. This business does more damage than good. I would not let them work on my vehicle nor would I recommend them. I would rather get my money back and go elsewhere. They were just taking my money because I am not knowledgeable about car issues. The fact is I went to 3 mechanics and they all told me the same thing .
Regards,
