Hi i'm wanting to put a complaint in for this business, as they can't seem to stay in business and keep shutting down without notifying anyone. We have attempted multiple times to end our membership as they keep withdrawing money from our account and there is no gym to go to or use. Please help us get our money back i'm sure there are plenty of others in the same boat as well.

I am not to happy cant wait to leave . They messed up membership

I first signed up to the gym on Edgewood in February 2017. When I signed up I was told there would be a hot tub and a sauna there. For the couple months of me going I noticed most of the machines were broken and they never fixed the hot tub or sauna. So I asked around they said it was going to get fixed. Unhappy bout the conditions of the Gym and they relocated. I just stopped going I continued to let them take the monthly chart out of my account. After a year and and a half I figured my membership was up they are steadily taking money out of my account. So I called and they said I signed a 3 year agreement which I don’t remember doing at all. The lady on the phone said I can pay $199.00 to get out of the contract.

The whirlpools were decommissioned by the former owners in about 2013. We purchased the gym in 2016. We did not intend to open the hot tub at any point. The new location is very close by the old location. There are NO machines down at all. It has new cardio equipment. We will add on free time for the time lapse that the customer has not attended.

When I signed up and did a walk threw the guy told me it’s a maintenance fee and that goes towards the broken equipment then he said the whirlpool would be fixed soon. I just want out of the contract I’ve been paying for 2yrs every month. I stopped going cause I was unsatisfied bout the gyms condition after about 3 months of going.

I continue to be charged by Go Workout every month, despite the fact that I haven't been there in well over a year. This is especially frustrating, considering that almost immediately after I signed a contract the gym started offering way better deals. The location that I went to closed, and then another location I went to closed, and now the only location remotely close to me is very small and doesn't have a track (which is what I primarily used at the Edgewood location). I do not feel it's fair that I continue to be charged. I actually believe I should be refunded a portion of the amount I paid. The reason I signed a contract to begin with is because of the promise of having all these locations near me. I wish the business well, but I'm tired of paying for a product that I do not use and that was not at all what was promised to me when I signed up for a contract.

I emailed Go Workout to look into personal training sessions at the that gym when *** contacted me to set up an appointment to discuss options. The appointment was scheduled, rescheduled and then *** was late. I decided to sign up for services on August 14th and signed the contract based on the information that *** gave me- I can cancel at any time and there would be no fees and I was signing up on a month to month basis; that was my intention and those are the terms that I thought I was agreeing to when I signed the contract. On said contract it has both a "term" basis agreement and a month-to-month and I do not see any differentiation on the contract as to which type I was signing up for. Since signing up for the services there has been at least 3 instances that the trainer did not show up for the training, including my first 2 sessions with ***, who has since been fired. I was lied to about a trainer being sick because *** forgot to set up the appointment in the first place so the trainer did not show up on time and when the trainer arrived, 15 minutes after the appointment was originally scheduled the trainer said he had just found out about the appointment and came as soon as he knew. I called today to cancel my training due to it not being worth the $160 I have been paying a month and they informed me that I was signed up for the year long contract and would have to pay 15% of the total contract amount as a cancellation fee- this is was not the contract I was signing up for and was misled and blatantly lied to.

GO Workout Members *BEWARE*
Steve Millenbach has a record of lawsuits against him for unscrupulous business dealings with fitness centers. Google his name and find the truth. A consumer complaint has been filed with the Michigan Attorney General's Office regarding his closure of the GO Workout Frandor location.

I am a "member" of the now closed Frandor Women's Only-Go Work Out gym facility. I found out from a Facebook Post from the Frandor Shopping Center that the gym had closed. After further investigation, the gym is "relocating" to a hotel. A hotel's gym room, with access to a swimming pool. I think it is important to mention, that there was no notice to members of this facility that the gym would be closing. Instead, memberships were being sold right up until the gym was closing and that equipment was actively being taken away; indicates twice that Go Workout has acted in bad faith.

I signed up for a women's' only gym facility, specifically, my contract is listed for:

Go Workout: Women's Only Frandor Ave I did not sign up for a different location, nor did I sign up for any of the other Go Workout facilities. I did not sign a contract for a hotel gym room. I did not sign a contract for any other location but the one listed Go Workout: Women's Only Frandor, Ave.

To this date and time, I have not received any formal or informal notification of the gym's closing nor its "relocation" address. Go Workout has essentially run off with its members money and personal information, unless its members track Go Workout down. These are not good business practices. My contract has been breached and Go Workout has acted in Bad Faith.

I have emailed and called numerous times and have received no help or answers. I have been trying since September 5th and today I was charged a fee. I need this to stop. I do not know what else to do.

When signing up for this membership, a walking track and an all-women facility was included in the membership price. Two months after buying this membership, the gym moved locations and no longer offer the track or the women's only workout classes. Since these are the only two activities I will participate in, to which I purchased, this membership is now useless to me. When I requested a refund from the manager, I was told that I could not have a refund as gyms close down or move all the time. I've been a member of various gyms over the last 30 years and not one time did one of them close or move, so I'm not inclined to believe his reasoning. I feel this is poor business practices and a bait and switch tactic. I am only interested in a refund of approximately $400 at this point. The facilities that they now offer are not suitable for me as the original facilities that I had purchased.

Hideous customer service, I have nothing good to say about this place. Cancelled my training appointments three times in a row, they never answer the phone, it's loud, and they make excuses for everything. I paid ahead for an entire year, and they charged me $25 this month I did not agree to. If I could give it negative stars I would.

Company switch billing system. I switch debit card about 2 months ago due to theft. I was not notified of missed monthly payments. My key card was deactivated due to missed payments. The facility is still billing me currently even though I do not have access to the facility. They will not stop continuously billing me every month even as I do not have access to the facility.

New life fitness closed their gym in Jan 2017 and transferred their memberships to Go Workout. I was told to go to Go Workout to cancel my membership. I did so on February 4th 2017, filled out the paper work, they said there will probably be one billing cycle left that I would be charged. I have been continually charged since. I tried calling the phone number on the contract from New Life Fitness, and was told I can only cancel at the gym. Tried going to Go Workout again at 8am last week, they have a sign stating staff only available from 10am-8pm. Which is when I am at work. Went in at 6:35pm on October 12, 2017, I left work early, spoke with Isaiah, very nice guy, he sent a text to Vern, the owner of New Life Fitness, and said that *** or *** would be in touch with me. It has been a week and I have not received a call back. I want to make sure I am not being charged and I would like some sort of refund for the past 8 months.
