We rode their ride and we WERE overcharged - bottom lineI am asking to be refunded what I am rightfully owed!! I have wasted far too much time on this and I DO NOT want a credit from them as I PROMISE to NEVER return after being treated like this!! Re: Complaint No. [redacted] Dear Ms. [redacted]: This letter is witten to respond to your correspondence dated July 26, 2016 August 8, 2016 regarding Ms. Marlene [redacted]'s complaint that received the complaint nurnber from your office referenced above. I apologize it took so long to respond to your...

inquiry. This is a very busy time of our season whete I get pulled in many different directions all day long. In addressing Ms. [redacted]'s complaint, we admit that she called several times to request a refund in the amount of $12, and we did offer her store credit to be used for merchandise or a different ride. However, we do not believe Ms. [redacted] is entitled to a refund in the amount of $12 for several reasons: 1.     Our coupons state: "Regardless of circumstances, this offer may never be applied retroactively after purchase." 2.     Ms. [redacted] paid in cash leaving us with no way of verifying whether she actually rode our ride, or merely came into possession of a discarded receipt and a coupon. 3.     Ms. [redacted]'s of events does not seem likely to have occurred the way that she states it did. Enclosed please find a photocopy of several of our coupons in for the rides that we offer. We offer a rides on amphibious vehicles referred to as ducks, as well as jet boat rides and a zip line. All of our coupons state that they may never be used retroactively after purchase. When a customer pays in cash as Ms. [redacted] states that she did, our ticket agents do not collect personal information that would otherwise be recorded when a credit card is used. Therefore, there was no way for us to verify whether or not Ms. [redacted] truly rode our ride, or merely came into possession of a discarded receipt and a coupon, and is now attempting to collect funds after finding them. Notwithstanding that possibility, and in the interest of customer service, when Ms. [redacted] called we choose to believe that she rode our ride. Ms. [redacted] was offered store redeemable for merchandise or a different ride she could use herself or gift to a friend. 1 p.2 Ms. [redacted] stated that this was not acceptable. She stated that she'd only accept a refund in the amount of $12 due to Living 3 hours away, and her intent to never return to Wisconsin Dells. It should be noted that Ms. [redacted]'s hometown is [redacted], Wisconsin, which is 2 hours, not 3 hours from Wisconsin Dells. Ms. [redacted] then stated she presented her ticket agent with a $6 coupon and asked for tickets to the ride. She states that her ticket agent was very rude, "rolled her eyes" and responded "for what?" This is the part of Ms. [redacted]'s story that is less than believable. The denominations on our coupons are different for each ride that we offer. The duck coupon is $6, the jet boat coupon is S4, and the ip line coupon is $14. If indeed, in advance of purchase, Ms. [redacted] presented a $6 coupon to her ticket agent, then her ticket agent would never have stated: "for what?" Ticket agents apply our coupons to hundreds of each day. In other words, they are extremely familiar with which coupons are for which ride because they apply them again and again all day long. Additionally, we don't have any new ticket agents that might perhaps be unfamiliar with the application of coupons to our rides. Notwithstanding Ms. [redacted]'s less-than-believable recitation of events, we continued to offer her store credit for merchandise or for a different ride that we offer. We don't for anyone to be unhappy with their experience, and we continue to make this offer to Ms. [redacted]. However, this is all that we're willing to do under the circumstances stated above. If Ms. [redacted] would like to accept a $12 credit, then please kindly advise her to contact me using our contact infonnation above.
