I am rejecting this response because: The response is filled with have of the true and have liesThe first lie is $The remaining balance was $Secondly, my house is not crooked the entire street is on a slant which is what I told himI have had many jobs completed in my home and that was never an issue a professional would measure and accommodated for the slant since the walls are flat the slant would not be an issueThe hvac person he brought in was not a professional had no licsense, nor was he able to discover the problem with the furnace Once the professional hvac person from my oil company came he told me the problem and fixed the furnace at my expenseAs for the shower door, yes the door can go on two different ways and that is to accommodate which wall the shower fixture will be installedHe made an amateur mistake of installing the door to open so that the water comes out of the door instead of against the glass, therefore he should absorb all of the expenses for the correctionThe request to change the door is not a choice its to accommodate the operation of the showerI can not use the shower due to the fixture on the wall can not turn to the hot waterMy home is in worst condition due to the amateur workI would like all of my back plus any other expense that I may incur.

Goal line Construction signed a labor only contract for Ms. [redacted] in December 2014, in the contract, the homeowner agreed to purchase all materials for bathroom remodel, Goal line agreed to add a custom tile shower and a tile floor to the back bedroom. No new framing was done for the...

custom shower. Homeowner made Goal line Construction aware that the entire house “was crooked and 100 years old” and still wanted to go through with the project. The demolition that was done consisted of tearing out the existing floor, plaster and the right wall where tile shower was to be added. While working on the property, Goal line was falsely accused several times of damaging property that had nothing to do with the work being done. Homeowner accused Goal line of breaking the furnace after just temporarily shutting off the main water line for a few hours to install water lines in new bathroom. Threats were made to Goal line in reference to having to pay for new furnace. We at Goal line tried to continuously make the homeowner called in a licensed service HVAC mechanic which whom Goal line paid for service call.
The licensed HVAC mechanic assessed and informed the homeowner that cutting off the water had nothing to do with the furnace. The homeowner became hostile and started to insult the HVAC servicer by referring to him as a crack head. By calling in the HVAC servicer, this put the plumbing and carpentry on hold for a few days while trying to figure out if Goal line was responsible for the furnace malfunction. The homeowner later called in her own HVAC technician, which confirmed that shutting off the main water line had nothing to do with the furnace malfunction. Homeowner later informed Goal Line that Harrisburg Fire Department had visited the property in reference to Ms. [redacted]'s malfunctioning furnace.
In order for Goal line to add the waterline, the refrigerator had to be moved for access. While this was done, we noticed the cracked and water damaged titles under and around the refrigerator, the homeowner once again, became hostile and demanded Goal line to fix the preexistent damaged flooring. Goal line, with the attempt to accommodate the customer, fixed the damages that was not related to the contract.
After Goal line notified the homeowner that project was completed, homeowner became very hostile and stated that somebody went into her other bathroom and turned her valves around, which again was false. That accusation was in a completely different room, which at that point, enough was enough. Goal line informed the homeowner that the remaining balance of $800 she could keep. Homeowner then notified Goal line by phone that she was not 100 satisfied but not 100 dissatisfied. Homeowner also sent text messages stating that she would like to have the shower door switched around. Goal line responded through text message that they would be happy to Send a service technician over to switch the door from the left side to the right Side (there was nothing stating in the contract which side the door would be on from the homeowner). Homeowner was then made aware that any possible discoloration and/or Scratches from Switching the door being switched due to the bonding glue, Goal Line would not be liable. Homeowner responded that she would want additional money back if there was any damage besides the outstanding balance $800 that was still owed.
Homeowner again became very hostile, unamicable with her responses and became race baiting talking about Black contractors and she was going to call the law. She continued to do So and make threats of wanting all her money back. Her requests were and are all unreasonable. Goal line has step by step pictures of the work and also saved text messages that can show that this complaint is completely unreasonable and is not about the craftsmanship or service standards.
Prior to notifying the homeowner that the job was completed, the tile shower and tile floor was already completed a few days before. There were no prior complaints only compliments about how good the cuts were made around shower and walls.
There were several attempts that the homeowner made to get money taken off the project and/or have the project done for free. We did make attempts to come back into the home, as long as there was no hostile environment; homeowner instantly became hostile again and said she was going to the law. We feel that we tried to come upon good terms with the homeowner but again she was not complying. The contract cost was noted as $2,500 for labor; the actual labor cost was worth well over $5,000. The homeowner was given a 50% labor break due to long term family acquaintance. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
