Revdex.com, Our log home is a second home that we rent out to travelers and sight seers of the community and countryside Our goal is for our guests to have a pleasant relaxing stay with their family We have had many guests through the years and never had to deal with a complaint such as this When [redacted] and [redacted] called me and left a voice mail that the cabin was cold when they got there, but they had got it running and it was heatingThey had also said the hot tub was frozen and there were things that were not clean So it is always our intention to get things fixed as soon as possible So I had the cleaning lady go there and clean whatever they thought needed cleaned I also had a heating repairman go look at & fix the furnace, he said it was running and could not find anything wrong with it As for the hot tub freezing nature takes its toll sometimes There is no repairman in the area and the parts come from Indiana So I was unable to get that fixed immediately The [redacted] s then made it sound that everything was okay and they were staying the weekend and not renting or staying elsewhere Then after their stay they sent several complaints by email and [redacted] One of them having to get up in the night to reset the furnace fan I sent a second repairman from a different business He found that the furnace was heating but the fan motor had a dead spot and a faulty switch So it was working some of the time and then would act up I told the [redacted] s I had everything fixed and working and offered them two free nights during the week or free night on the weekend So next thing I know I am having to respond to the Revdex.com and they never asked me once for a $refund.Again, we try to make things right immediately if there is a problem even when its out of our control when given a chance Unfortunately there are people out there that you can't make happy or they are trying to work the system by bad mouthing you on social media.Sincerely, [redacted]

Hello, I am responding to a email complaint from *** *** ***I have never talked to *** and he has never booked with us personallyHe must have been a guest of *** *** had called me and left a message that the hot tub jets were not circulatingI called left a message
back that the control switches were not functioning and one would have to be ordered from the manufacturer in IndianaThe hot tub heat jets and filtering jets were still working it can be used as a soaking hot tub *** also said they're having trouble making callsWe have two next door neighbors that are Amish and have phone booths landlines and will let anyone use for emergencies or non emergenciesUsually everyone's internet and cell service I have no problems working there in the cabinWe've been having a lot of storms lately and with all the weather from freezing and thawing this winter and then all the record breaking rainfall this yearThings outside of the cabin have done unusual thingsLike Landscaping timber worked its way halfway out of the ground and the nail heads coming up removed landscaping boards and replace nail heads with screwsAs for a couple other complaints of Mr ***We took the trash out the Monday before and mowed the Monday beforeThe group before them must have had a lot of trash even though we have three large containers and it still cannot go out till MondayI noticed that there was no problem setting all the beer bottles and cigarette butts in the driveway even though we do not allow alcohol or smoking at the cabin and I also noticed your friends with the the only other group who complained on ***Lastly we stock toilet paper in the cupboards upstairs, main floor and lower levelI wanted to end this with the two most current groups that have stayed there at different timesFirst one Mr *** of ***He said what a wonderful placeWe had enjoyed the peacefulness and the time they had stayed and look forward to come again! The most recent one from the 4th of JulyMrs*** from *** saysWe love the cabinIt was really beautiful and peaceful and we appreciate using it We had a wonderful time My year old girl liked it so much she didn't want to leaveWe look forward to staying again when we get the chanceThanks so much!!!

Business response was taken via phone by ** at Revdex.com.Mike *** stated his business has its own standardized tools and does not use the tools of its customers.Mike said he is confident the consumer's tools were not used by his mechanics.Mike said he doesn't want the consumer to be unhappy or dissatisfied and he would be open to refunding her $27.00, the cost charged to repair her tire (as a goodwill gesture)

I am limited to how many attachments it will allow.After reviewing the reply from the owner of this home it is clear to me that we
will not come to any type of settlement. My money is already spent and I am
going to go with the Live and Learn attitude. I am very disappointed in the
comments that were made by the owner that we are just trying to work the
system. I am not suing him, I am simple filing a complaint to let others know
that the photos you see are very old photos and that the home is not in good
working order as you would expect for the money. As I stated in my original
complaint we had already stayed at this home years ago for our anniversary
and we were very satisfied and it was beautiful just at the photos show.
However years later and many years of neglect have taken a toll on this
property. We tried to contact the owner several times while still at the home
but you are at the mercy of a voice message, he did not return our calls after
the first call. We contacted him immediately when we returned home and sent him
numerous photos of the damage that had been caused to his home due to neglect.
Our group was not looking for compensation for the damages done to his home, we
were looking for compensation for a hot tub that did not work, water that stunk
so bad we could not use it and repairing his furnace times during our stay.
We did not go to a hotel because the cabin is in the country and there aren't
many hotels in the Amish community and we had already paid to stay at
this home why should I take the chance of paying for a hotel and not being
reimbursed for either???? As for bad mouthing his home on social media, we have
posted our photos and emails between us to let other be aware of the condition
and how you will be treated if you do not feel that the home is up to par. The
claims of having no other complaints but ours, very questionableYou are not
allowed to comment on there ** page unless they allow and you will be blocked if
you try. Please think twice about staying in this home. There are many in the
area to chose from. Thank you *** I
just found a gentleman who posted a review from his stay June 19-of 2015.
The hot tub is still not working and the water still smells. What a shame that
a business owner will lie to make others look bad. Thank you for your
help, I hope this is a better review and I didn't get too off track

When I Returned *** call backI apologize for the big tub jets not workingWe had everything working and then the controls brokeThere are some things are out of my controlWe try to provide a great place to hang out, a relaxing time with a good nights rest*** left a note saying that we had a nice and clean cabin but she was disappointed in the tub and having trouble making calls at that time*** booked the cabin and paid for it*** never called me to discuss these matters or about a refundWhat is very disappointing and childish to me is that a third party person would go and discredit your business on social media with *** and the Revdex.com without giving us a call firstUnfortunately the damage has been done.and will be a part of permanent mark on our log home

As far as the customers' "missing tools & jack", we have our own automotive jacks, lifts and tools that we use to perform any work that is needed, we do not use any customers tools or jacks.Our technicians are trained professionals and are instructed not to adjust or play with the controls in a customers car, so if any controls were changed, we do apologize.
