On the tour (they toured 11/2/17)we tell families the next steps should they choose our school; the non-refundable registration fee and non-refundable one month's tuition A couple weeks later, they called and told our Director they wanted to enroll On 11/214:09pm I emailed saying that was great + the hours we're here for them to bring in the signed contract and to receive payment and their baby's spot would be heldOn 11/@6:53pm Mom emailed she hadn't been feeling well and was trying to get better before the baby arrivedThe next correspondence was on 12/@3:when Mom asked could they come in the next day to enroll him To which I replied @4:00- absolutely They came on 12/to enroll for a day/week spot with a 2/19/start I don't have quick access to the exact date of the phone call to our Director saying mom's hours had changed, so their plans had changed In following up to that call, I emailed on 2/@3pm saying I was sorry about her hours and tried to help find a solution On 2/@ 8:40am Mom replied with- thanks for getting back to me so quickly, saying her hours were changed and asked how we will be handling the depositThe same day @4:51pm I replied reminding them the deposit was non-refundable but that we would refund the extra amount paid, that was not required as a depositAgain, we just tried to see if we could offer an alternative schedule to help out so they didn't lose the depositWe also expressed that we were sad they weren't going to be starting him as we had hoped to get to know himHis teachers were already preparing for his arrival From a business perspective, we kept our end of the contract despite losing out on income from not only from them, but now other interested families that found care elsewhere because we had to turn away as that spot was being held for them I last heard from them on 2/that mom's schedule wasn't changing any time soon, + to send payment I did send the payment (the $that was not required as a deposit)right after hearing from them, but my actual email reply did take a longer than any previous correspondence due to timing of family needsThat was on 2/when I explained why our school and many other local schools have the same (or more) requirements for a deposit Then to let us know if they hadn't received the refund

Mrs *** enrolled her son to start at our school on January 18, His schedule was four days a week, Monday Tuesday, Thursday, and FridayShortly after starting at our
school we asked Mrs *** to meet with us regarding her child's unsafe behavior in the classroomHe would run around the classroom and knock chairs, tables and toys downHe hit his friends and pinched friends and stabbed one with a pencilHe would not participate in centers or play with other friends and was very disruptiveSince he would not follow direction we were unable to keep him or the other children in the classroom safeOn January 28, we talked to Mrs*** again and told her that we couldn't keep him and the other children safe even when one of our faculty was working one on one with himWe asked Mrs *** to pick up Brenden that afternoonMrs *** then emailed me and asked for money back in the amount of $for the one day she was unable to attend and her registration feeAlthough that amount didn't add up correctly for me it wasn't worth arguing about as I felt for Mrs *** and cared about her son as wellI returned the $Mrs *** paid $for registration and the prorated portion of January's tuitionThe registration fee is The remaining $was January's prorated tuitionMrs *** child attended all scheduled days except Friday January 29thIf you take the $and divide by the days that covered you would get a daily rate of $So, Mrs *** was due back only the one missed day for a total refund of $However, in an effort to show kindness I also refunded the $registration feeThat adds up to $This is all Mrs *** was dueWhen she asked for the $it wasnt fully due to her but I was trying to show kindness and not argue with her over the discrepancySo, at this point Mrs*** has been refunded more money than was actually due to herI have done all that I can to resolve this with Mrs *** and wish them the best

We gave the Goddard school more than 30 days notice. As you can see the owner doesn’t respond back in an timely manner. I called several times and emailed with no response.  This probably this business runs by pushing out responses so it gets closer to 30 day mark and she says oh well it’s past 30 days.  We were actually bullied into giving our deposit early. I totally reject what stage owner stated.

school, they sign (and receive a copy of) the enrollment agreement.  This contract clearly outlines what is required to hold a spot for their child, so that the spot they want is not given away to anyone else. This response is still unacceptable and her statement of other daycares have same policy is a completely false. Since we toured the area daycare.   We are extremely sadden we made the decision to go with Goddard.  If we had known this how they treat people we would have chosen another place. On the tour (they toured 11/2/17)we tell families the next steps should they choose our school; the non-refundable registration fee and non-refundable one month's tuition.  A couple weeks later, they called and told our Director they wanted to enroll.  On 11/214:09pm I emailed saying that was great + the hours we're here for them to bring in the signed contract and to receive payment and their baby's spot would be held. On 11/21 @6:53pm Mom emailed she hadn't been feeling well and was trying to get better before the baby arrived. The next correspondence was on 12/4 @3:33 when Mom asked could they come in the next day to enroll him.  To which I replied @4:00- absolutely.  They came on 12/5 to enroll for a 2 day/week spot with a 2/19/18 start.  I don't have quick access to the exact date of the phone call to our Director saying mom's hours had changed, so their plans had changed.  In following up to that call, I emailed on 2/1 @3pm saying I was sorry about her hours and tried to help find a solution.  On 2/8 @ 8:40am Mom replied with- thanks for getting back to me so quickly, saying her hours were changed and asked how we will be handling the deposit. The same day @4:51pm I replied reminding them the deposit was non-refundable but that we would refund the extra amount paid, that was not required as a deposit. Again, we just tried to see if we could offer an alternative schedule to help out so they didn't lose the deposit. We also expressed that we were sad they weren't going to be starting him as we had hoped to get to know him. His teachers were already preparing for his arrival.  From a business perspective, we kept our end of the contract despite losing out on income from not only from them, but now other interested families that found care elsewhere because we had to turn away as that spot was being held for them.  I last heard from them on 2/18 that mom's schedule wasn't changing any time soon, + to send payment.  I did send the payment (the $299 that was not required as a deposit)right after hearing from them, but my actual email reply did take a longer than any previous correspondence due to timing of family needs. That was on 2/26 when I explained why our school and many other local schools have the same (or more) requirements for a deposit.  Then to let us know if they hadn't received the refund.
