Why she did not call us back when she had an issue after the technician had rebuilt it is beyond me due to the fact that all our work is warranted unless indicated on the invoice with a reason
indicating why:
The first picture (the one of the valve stem and escutcheon) shows there is new grease in the stem indicating it had in-fact been removedBoth had the washers replaced, I personally removed the cold side stem and found there was new grease indicating the technician had in fact taken the stems out. It is customary for this technician to place grease in faucets/shower valves when he rebuilds them. No he did not replace the seats due to them being good i.ehaving a flat surface and she did not want to pay extra for that service. No he did not replace the caulking around the escutcheons, probably due to the fact that she would be replacing the stems at a future date; this shower valve in question has many issues and many time a total rebuild is necessary. The technician in question is very good at his job and he even informed her of the issues she will be facing with this shower valve
I gave her half her money back because the technician in-fact performed the services she requested; and to make it that both parties did not go away in a foul manner; obviously that did not help her. Yes I will send her money back to her because that is the only thing I can do at this point because we performed the task that she requested and she is still not happy.

1. the grease on the stem is old grease that does not dry out. I do not remember seeing the plumber at the hardware store add grease  to the stem when I had them rebuilt in ace hardware nor was I told to use grease by the plumbers in the plumbing dept. the gentleman from the hardware store went in the back to remove the old caulking by machine and to polish up the brass-yes, there was lots old caulking on the brass fittings; the plumbing clerk repaired the stems on the counter in from of me.
2. the receipt I received says the plumber replaced the seats, I had to have them replaced and can get more written doc. from the plumber who replaced them from ace hardware. also a receipt was sent to Revdex.com as documentation that I had to purchase them.
3. the 'many issues' stated by gold bond were minor and was done by me after I removed the chrome and realized nothing had been done.  i thought PERHAPS there was a benefit of doubt there was a tool that could fit through a very narrow opening where the stem was sticking out of the chrome and the old caulking did not have to be removed.
after doing a youtube search I learned how to remove the plumbing parts;  i then took the whole stems and the chrome parts to the shower and demonstrated to the men at the hardware store and asked if there was a plumbers tool in which to remove the stem w\o removing the chrome and if it were possible to do such a job without taking the old caulking off the wall etc;  i was told 'no!' ; that is when I realize I had been taken.  i  took all parts back to ace and had them remove the old caulking by machine and replacing the parts that was going to get done and what had not been done.  because the caulking was on the stem itself and in order to get the stem back into the wall with out marring up the screw holes.
4. yes I was given part of my money back, but I am seeking all my money back because service was not rendered.

Review: I hired gold bond plumbing to fix a shower leak. I was charged 100.00 and was told the problem will not solve the leak problem. I noticed there was no new chaulking on the shower. I proceeded to unscrew the shower heads only to notice the shower had not been touched. I called [redacted] the owner. [redacted] arrived at my home on thur. Morning -he too made excuses for sloppy work. I showed him where there was nothing done to the shower. He gave me half my money back.I also took the parts to ace hardware to verify the problem. The men in the plumbing dept. Agreed with my obvervation.photos are availabe of the fraud.Desired Settlement: I would like all my money back. I have not cashed the 50.00 check gordon wrote;i do not agree with amount.
