Friday, July **, 3:PMComplaint Response *** ***: *** *** requested service for several central air systems at his large home Upon his request I (Tom) reviewed the service rates with him and told him that we could probably squeeze him in between our contract
customers who are our priority *** *** then asked us to service his equipment. A Gold Coast Technician was on site for the whole day, testing, leak checking, recovering refrigerant and repairing leaks on three of his five old systems Upon completion, the technician wrote up the service sheet The total came to $1, including labor, material and sales tax When the price was presented to *** *** he called me to negotiate the price although he agreed/accepted the rates prior to me dispatching the technician After I spoke with my technician, it became apparent that he(the technician)did not total his hours correctly The service sheet totaling $1,was 1.5 hours short At this point I just told *** *** to just pay the $1,173.15 written on the service sheet and I won't charge him the extra hours or $including sales tax He agreed. When the technician turned in his paperwork the next day, I noticed that ***
*** only paid $1, My technician indicated that *** *** said that that is all I told him to pay My technician, being a trusting person believed him That morning I immediately called him up and asked why he didn't pay the full amount and he made as if he didn't know, (yet he signed the service sheet), then apologized. I then had to re-send my technician(at my cost) back to his house to pick up another check for the remainder $173.15. *** *** was told that his systems are very old and susceptible to failure *** *** called the office a few days later on a very hot day and was told that we would be back in touch when we had a better idea of timing to return since we were servicing our contract customers *** then called the next day threatening to post complaints on the internet and call the Revdex.com. I then called *** *** and informed him that he should be ashamed of himself for verbally abusing my staff and playing games with the payment I also informed him that nobody buys the right to abuse me or my staff and that Gold Coast will be returning all of his money because we choose not to service him any further This conversation occurred prior to *** *** posting the complaint with the Revdex.com So even though I committed to returning all of his money without being asked he still posted an unnecessary complaint to waste everbodys time. A Gold Coast refund check along with *** ***'s uncashed check that we had to go back to pick up was mailed to him via certified mail on June **, 2015 for every penny The mail was received and signed for on June **, 2015. In conclusion, I would rather walk away from $1,then to have to deal with unreasonable, abusive people Gold Coast and it's staff work extremely hard to deliver dependable, high quality services to customers with integrity.Thomas S***

Review: Danny the technician came to my home to repair my air condition for my son's room. This unit was freezing up so Danny after diagnosis recommended to fix the leak and put gas into the unit .It took him almost 8 hrs. on this unit and than he hands me a bill for $1200,I was very upset so I call his owner Tom and he said his work was good so I believed him and paid him in full. Next day my unit does the same so I call him and continued to call him for several days and he never returned my call. Shame on you Tom for ripping me off. I will get the unit repaired by someone else and take this business to court and recover my money.Desired Settlement: I need my full refund or fix my unit
