I ordered grey ophthalmic instruments for my practice from Gold Coast Instrument Service, Inc. The rep assured me numerous times they had it. They delivered the wrong color and told me the "grey" was NOT available in grey. I rejected the delivery. He, Jeff *** told me there was a brand new model coming out in white, in a month, and that I would be the only one in the country that had it. I settled for the white and waited a month. A month later he delivered some white instruments, but the slit lamp and light ($4.200) were the same exact ones as the ones I rejected. ( He told me to keep these until they painted the new ones white, so that I could do exams. I was confused because he told me the new was white, but I needed the machines and already had half of the necessary instruments here. The following week I emailed for an ETA on the new, painted, white instruments. He sent me pics of a few old beat up instruments they were refurbishing and painting white. He said I misunderstood what he said and that was all that is available. I became very angry and told him he was a liar and a thief, and gave him 4 days to give me what was agreed upon or return my money and get his instruments. I never heard back from them. I emailed on te 5th day to give them another chance to make it right, otherwise I was pressing charges. Still no response. This is not right. People can not be allowed to go around manipulating and hurting others. All I want is for him to come get his instruments and refund my money.

The allegations are incorrect and outrageous as submitted by Mrs.. Ms. was sent a brochure with the color of the equipment she ordered. She signed and approved the estimate. The equipment she originally ordered is NOT offered in any other color other than the one in the brochure, which she was aware of. It is not possible to request a certain color of equipment so this color could not be promised by our company. Furthermore, there was no "old" or "beat up equipment" provided to her at any point, ever. We went above and beyond in a good faith effort to attempt to please this client in what we realize is a "no-win" situation and provided her with numerous freebies, labor and upgrades at zero cost to her. We were in constant contact with Ms. with calls, emails and texts. It is Ms. who waited 3 months to respond to our past responses.
Our company has fulfilled its obligation to Ms. and went above and beyond in what seems to be an attempt to extort us to her whims. Our reputation is spotless and we have been in the industry for 20 years. The bottom line is Ms. was never promised any different color than what she was furnished and the equipment provided was excellent. We stand by our equipment, commitment to customer service and the efforts we have made.

Good afternoon,
The content of his response is all a lie. I have emails to prove so, and I have images of the old beat up equipment. Jeff *** the young man who delivered the instruments told me he would leave me with the the wrong color slitlamp until they painted the new one white, to match the chair. I have a witness who will testify to everything I am saying. Yes, it took me 3 months to commit to the sale, because it was new construction, and I informed them very clearly of the situation. Jeff *** told me, verbatim, Keep these, (slitlamp and light post, which are the items that are the wrong color) until I paint the new one next week. Then I will deliver them together when I drop off the right color for you. I want the right color equipment to match the rest, or my money back. They should not be allowed to do business. This is wrong on every level.

The content of his reply is untrue and inaccurate. He told me the chair was white, which I accepted instead of the GREY. The chair is not what my complaint is about. He told me the color of the chair was white and it was BRAND new and it was coming to market in a month. I told him, I would wait for it. Now he is saying it was a prototype. This complaint is about the SLIT LAMP and LIGHT ARM. He told me that it did come in grey. He had been telling me for over 6 months that it came in grey. Yes, I stalled the delivery for a few months. It was new construction. I communicated with Mr DOn *** and Jeff *** on the progress of my construction. They said they understood. How is that relevant to delivering the wrong color instruments anyway?
When Jeff *** came to deliver the white chair a few weeks later, he brought back and installed the same slit lamp and light arm I rejected and make him take back the time before. It was taupe or tan NOT GREY. He told me he was going to leave it both items in case I needed to do eye exams, but he was going to PAINT a new one he had. I said OK and gave him a check for the balance, which I should not have done until he delivered, but I trusted him.
I did not hear from him for a week, so I emailed him on the progress of the painted instruments. That is when he told me I MISUNDERSTOOD what he said. I did NOT misunderstand. He lied. At this point he told me he had instruments that were the same color and that he would "touch them up" I wanted proof, images of what he had. He sent me some images of old beat up instruments. I told him NO. This is not what I was promised. I have gone through every email to find those images and they have ALL been removed or deleted. Very interesting.
I have a white chair, a tan/taupe slit lamp and a tan/taupe light arm. I would NEVER agree to different color instruments in my brand new state of the art practice. Jeff *** KNEW very well he would NEVER return to replace my instruments for the right color, painted or not. If he did he would not have brought back and installed the SAME EXACT INSTRUMENTS I REJECTED THE FIRST TIME. All I want is what he promised or my refund. The refund for the slip lamp and the lamp pole.
Last but nut least; I did go on google and gave him a bad review. It is my right to voice my experience. I had a horrible experience. I feel it is my responsibility to help warn innocent consumers like myself from being manipulated taken advantage of like I did.
All the information I wrote here is truthful. I am a busy professional, with a brand new business to worry about. I dont have time to waste on fictitious accusations, but I will not be quiet nor be manipulated
