Gold & Diamonds Reviews (2)

The company refused to honor the warranty on a product despite the product still being covered. On November 22, 2011, I purchased a watch battery from Gold & Diamonds located in the [redacted] Before purchasing the battery, I inquired as to the time frame for which a watch battery usually lasts. The sales rep on duty (receipt has name as [redacted] replied that their batteries are good for 5 years. Although that sounded like it was too good to be true, I decided to go ahead and purchase the battery. The fee for this transaction was $22.00 (paid for with a Visa debit card). After she had replaced my old battery with the new one, I asked the sales rep what would happen if the battery stopped working prior to the 5 years that she had stated earlier. She answered that all I would need to do is bring the watch back and get the battery replaced for no fee. She even went so far as to write "5 years" on the sales receipt to indicate that the battery would either be working for 5 years or be able to be replaced in the event that it stopped working. On July 20, 2013, I noticed that the watch that had the battery replaced had stopped working. Seeing as though this was well within the 5 year warranty period, I returned to Gold & Diamonds with the hope that I could have the watch battery replaced free of charge as I had been promised at the time of the original transaction. However, once I arrived at the kiosk, I explained to the gentlemen what had happened and asked if I could have the battery replaced. He asked if I had the receipt. After I gave him both the watch and the original receipt, he looked at both items for a minute or so then told me that the woman that had sold me the watch battery was no longer employed there. Not knowing exactly what that had to do with anything, I inquired as to whether I could have the defective battery replaced. He then proceeded to state that I could have it replaced for a $10 charge. I asked him if they actually honored their warranties since he appeared to not be honoring the one that I was supposed to have. He stated that watch batteries are covered for a period of two years. Even if that were the case, this still did not make good sense to me because it had not been 2 years yet either. He continued to state that he could replace the battery for $10, at which point I walked off.Desired SettlementThe settlement that I am seeking is to simply have my watch battery replaced since it stopped working within the period that it was guaranteed to be operational.

Business said to return bracelet for an exchange. When I arrived man repaired & refused to exchange the bracelet.Bracelet broke in 2 places on 1/12/16 in the evening. Date of purchase 1/9/16 @ 12:12:42. Reference #: XXXXXXXXXXXX. Transaction #1. I don't know the salesman name, he said he was the owner. Heavy set, low hair cut with grey area & with foreign accent. Payment amount: $73.89. I only returned to the [redacted] because the gentleman on the phone said he would exchange the bracelet. While there on 1/13/15 around 15:25pm, I kept asking the man what is their warranty. He ignored me. I asked over 5 times. Finally he got tired of me asking realizing I wasn't leaving without an answer. He blurt out 30 days. I'm sure that wasn't true he just got tired of me asking the question. I am a paying customer that was asking a simple question. I called repeatedly after walking away from the [redacted] to speak with the man I spoke with on 1/13/16, no one answered. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I knew it would be like this I would have never given Gold and Diamonds, [redacted] XXXXX...(XXX)-XXX-XXXX.Desired SettlementI know the sign on their kiosk says No Refund but with them lying to me over the phone about an exchange. I interupted my day to go back to the store for a supposedly exchange. Extremely Rude customer service & being ignored from the man who said he was the owner. I want a REFUND PLEASE.
