Review: the company in question failed to properly inform me that they would be selling my property, as well as melting it down.

on the date of 12/06/12 I [redacted] pawned five rings. my pawn tickets or loan numbers are XXXXXX, XXXXXX, XXXXXX, XXXXXX,and on the pledge contract it is stated that on 04/06/13 the loan is due. and on the back it states that they will be sending and notify me by registered mail, to the last knowen adderss. when pawning such things you must show ID and on my ID my adderss is showen as [redacted] ave [redacted] ca XXXXX, but the pawn shop sent the letter to an adderss where I lived 7 yaears ago. they refuse to give me a copy of all our past transactions . so that I can legly persue this matter. Desired Settlement: I would like acknowledgement of there wrong doings and compensation for the things that were lost.

Business' Initial Response

By Law we give every one the same 4 month loan with 10 day grace period. At the end of the 4 month loan period we send a letter to the address given to us by the customer. It is the customers responsability to provide us with a correct address at the time the loan was written. The address line with the address she provided is located 1 inch above where the customer is required to sign. When [redacted] came to redeem her items over a month past her due date we asked her why she came so late and she informed us that she had been in jail out of state. We did provide [redacted] with proof of service that we mailed the past due notices to the address she provided in a timely manner. We also provided her with copies of the pawn slips in question and also the proof of service from the USPS.

for one they lied about when I came in to get my things.it was only 4 days after the 10 day grace period, and I have pawned my things there 3 times in the past. and they have sent me a letter to my adders in [redacted] when I was late picking my things up be for. and I have lived in [redacted] for the past 7 years and when I asked for a copy of all the times I have pawned my things to them he gave me a copy of just one pawn ticket and part of the proof of service. and told me I would have to get the rest from the owner but would not give me the owners info so that I could do so.
