Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] We have tried to call and text her on SEVERAL occasions, which we have record of, to find a solutionWe had emailed her a rough estimate from a respectable, years in business local jeweler of our choosing and he said he would not know exact cost until he finishes the repairs He is hoping the one baguette is just greyed and needs cleaning, like she was also supposed to have done before we received the ring during first repair, or if it needs replacingWe also told her about the other baguette being crookedShe said it was fineIt is actually so loose in its setting and if you shake the ring, it is sometimes straight and sometimes crooked, that is how loose it isWe will be taking it to a second jeweler who is very reputable as well to get another estimate and opinionI did not bump the ring into hard surfaces or damage it in any wayWe had the ring for days before I brought it in for her to see to fix it, and why would I do that to my engagement ring! Several people we showed it to before we took it back, could see the issues with the ring without telling them what was wrong, immediately, after both of the repairs.It is not about traveling there to fix itIt is the principal that we do not want someone she chooses to fix it, yet again for it to be possibly done wrong yet againIt has been done twice already by her choosingShe should have looked and checked the ring over THOROUGHLY before it left her store the first time, let alone after the second repairWe took the wedding band off of hold because we did not want to deal with The Gold Mine again after all of the issues with the engagement ringThe credit charge issue was because I have a credit card reader for my business and wanted to know if she wanted to do the refund for the wedding band money return with a debit card instead of mailing etcwe are in no way asking for monies for ANY reason or wanting her to do anything fraudulentWe will be filing a small claims actionThe Gold Mine as you can read is not offering a viable solution, that could have been taken care of very easily if she was a reputable business owner in the very beginningWe just want to be able to celebrate our engagement and be able to show a ring that I CANNOT WEAR

The customer was in a hurry and was going out of townMy jeweler sized the ring and I went out of my way to get the ring as I explained he did at his residence because he does not normally work week endsI went to meet my daughter to pick up the ring as quickly as possibleThe price us way below
and as I was not given the chance to correct the problem which was due to the rush situation I would appreciate the customer taking into conservation of the situation and that I did go way out of my way to accommodate themm in the short amount of time that was given My jeweler would have like the opportunity to correct the situation but I deed the price was also extremely reasonable and I did take five dollars off tbe price in addition which they seemed to be satisfied with Do I do wonder in fact what documentation they have from another jeweler? I would gladly have my jeweler rectify the situation and do apologize for any inconvenienceThey received their ring in that same SaturdaY as was expected

My jeweler attempted to repair this ring in good faith*** had expressed that the mounting of the center stone was too high and that can be altered but she has been wearing the ringUnder wear and tear I would oblige without a feeTwice I did soI explained I could try to have an
alternate jewelerwho is known and respected in the area for over thirty years try something differentStill at no charge to this couple even though I do feel that it is due to the fact that she is rough on the ring and is causing the issue I explained that by taking this opportunity out of my hands she would be overriding my ability to reduce and can no longer vouch for the liability of the ring and rely on the reputation of another jeweler I'm not associated withMy jeweler was also having a surgery at that time for an aneurism on the stomach and *** was pressuring For time A family dinner I believeI would like the opportunity to correct any issues but when she left my store the last time w the ring there was not a question and she later complained when I asked if they would be paying on the band they laid awayWhich has a value of dollars and I was giving it to them for a price of five hundredThe layaway was over six months in addition they had laid it away initially w the engagement and I gave more than was the pict to do soThey even separated the two rings after three months and I held the other until they could begin to pay on the said band In good faith I kept the band on layaway because they said they wanted it I couldn't possibly recoup the funds and it was kept off the sales floor because of this for more than six monthsMy policy us three months of layaway w per cent fownpaynent that is no refundable I feel that I am not liable for all of this and that in order to operate my business successfully customers are not permitted to just act however theyWant and try to request money for whatever reasonThey also asked for my credit card to charge me I feel they are seeking money for whatever reason I am allowed to protect my business from fraudulent actions

I have offered for a local jeweler here to repair the ring . She came a ways and doesn't want to travel to fix it but I would pay shipping to have it sent here and corrected. There was no definite estimate in cost for this ring and I don't agree with any costs that without seeing the ring in person I do not know what the customer has done to tbe ring to possible cause issues with the ring. The Mkj ring for the center stone was replaced once and it had several dents in it indicating that she was causing stress to the ring by bumping it into hard surfaces a lot.  ITs not possible to correct the ring if I don't have it. I would like moto know what the issue is and come up with a solution
