Review: I moved from Goldridge Apts more than two months ago and have not received my security deposit refund. It's been more than the 21 days allowed.
My husband and I have lived at Goldridge Apts for 3 years when management for no legal reason, wanted us to vacate. They gave us no notice and with the way management was acting (unprofessional, rude and nasty) we decided to move. When the time came to refund our $1000.00 security deposit, they racked up every charge they could and even had on the itemized list that we were residents for only 10mos. The wear and tear portion of our deposit was calculated as 10mos instead of the correct time of 3yrs. After contacting both the site management and corporate management they reluctantly changed my wear and tear allowance to reflect a refund instead of the original $300 due by me. They also billed me attorney fees which I do not feel I should have to pay. It's been approximately a month now since they changed my security deposit so I receive a refund and I feel I'm getting the run around. I want my refund and deserve my refund. They have had more than enough time. More than 21days. Please help me resolve this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund as soon as possible. Also would like attorneys fees waived since they had no legitimate reason to charge us in the first place.

We did make an error when originally processing their move out charges. As soon as it was brought to our attention we made the necessary changes; however, when we mailed them a refund check it was not sent to their current address which caused a delay in their receiving the check. We placed a stop payment on the original check, re-cut the check and they personally picked it up from our corporate office to avoid having to mail it.
There were attorney fees assessed with their move out charges that we were unable to remove as it had been necessary to involve an attorney during their stay here with us at Gold Ridge for which we were billed.

I was very dissatisfied with this company. Their staff was always very rude and nasty with me and my husband. They did make a mistake with my security deposit and they did fix the mistake and send me my refund but the way this company handles itself is absurd! Please, don't ever rent anything from this company!
