We had Gold Rush Plumbing install a new hot water heater in our basement. This occurred on Nov. 6, 2015. About four months later we noticed there was a leak on one of the pipes they had installed. We called them on the phone and asked them to come and fix it. Their repair man came and said he did not see a leak and left. The leak continued to occur and now it is all corroded and still leaking. They gave us a one year guarantee on their work in writing. We have contacted them several times and have not been able to get them to get back and fix their faulty workmanship. We are senior citizens and not able to do the work ourselves so we will have to hire it done by someone else.

The house I purchased in June of 2014 had a new hot water heater installed after the inspection. Please note this was not a requirement at the time of inspection. This was discovered after closing.
I called [redacted], the owner of Gold Rush Plumbing, and asked him to please come remove the old one. He said he would see what he could do. Never heard back from him.
Please note the hot water heater is in the crawl space under the house along with the furnace in what is referred to as a "pit" that sits several feet below the ground.
In May I soon discovered why he left the hot water heater sitting in the pit and un-drained. The drain in the pit was clogged which is probably why he left it sitting down there full of water. Unfortunately there was some back up from the rains and over $600 in repairs to my furnace and hot water heater. I again called [redacted] and asked him to come remove it, explained what happened and have not heard back. Very disappointing. This could have been prevented.
