Review: When I asked [redacted] to fix my 1992 Oldsmobile Regency Ninety-Eight, I knew it would be hard because it was an old car. [redacted] tried to fix the car by looking under hood first. He said nothing was wrong that he could see, then he realize that the problem had to be the security key chip on my key. So, he being by calling a locksmith in, charge me for that. Charge me for his time, also charge me for a part that he did not purchase. He told me he needed to purchase the part but did not purchase it because he realize it was the key security chip that was giving him the problem. Car still would not stay working. It would work then stop after a couple hours and driving a couple miles. I have paid [redacted] $200, but now he has involved his friend who wanted to try to fix the car. And found out that they put in a module that I did not give them permission. He wants me to pay his friends $200 for trying to fix my car without my permission plus a part that I did not give the permission to place in my car. I told him I do not have the money for that. So, [redacted] has told me that he will have to keep my car for non payment. Have not received a receipt for the $200 I paid. And have not received any work order.Desired Settlement: n/a

receive the complaint from ms [redacted] . she has had her car returned to heron April 23 2013 and a unpaid balance of 1.st ro 72.00 dollars unpaid for diagnostic work performed on her vehicle .1992 Oldsmobile 98 this vehicle needed a lot of electrical time to find why the no start system was faltering her letter said she did not give permission for further work to be performed on her car . that is incorrect she gave me permission to repair this vehicle she had it towed to my shop ,, and I keep her informed several times though the procedures I was following from start to end she was informed of what was being done to the car I have more hours in her car for repairs than what was billed to her and she handed me a check from family promises for partial repair payment which I called family promises and talked to the administrator who signed the 200.00 dollar check the 92 olds has a series of start issue expressed to [redacted] from possible en abler starter relays to resistor issues a lock smith was called out to my auto shop to install a resistor which I paid for 60.00 to al s locksmith co ..several hrs diagnosing this problem my shop rate is 54.95 hr she new this ,, she intentionally new she could not pay for repairs before we even began another tow for a failed start occurred on Thursday and was towed to Ulrich for further diagnostic. because I felt I was over looking a issue but to no avail the car was returned to [redacted] on Tuesday afternoon in running condition with a 2 ND tow job that she agreed to she told me her family was going to send her some money wire transfer that didn't happen I HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 20 SOME YRS. I TREAT MY CUSTOMERS FAIR AND EXPECT THEM TO MAKE GOOD.. SHE NEVER HAD ANY INTENTIONS OF PAYING ME EXCEPT FOR THE MONEY, FROM FAMILY PROMISE S SHE HAS THE CAR THE KEYS AND A FREE TOW AND SERVICES RENDERED I HOPE FUTURE REPAIR FACILITY LOOK OUT FOR CUSTOMERS LIKE HER I COULD HAVE HAD MECHANIC LIEN THIS VEHICLE BUT CHOOSE THE PATH THAT WAS RIGHT..
