I...

am rejecting this response because:
1.  No part of the business's response was accurate.  a.  While Gold Standard Business did finally acquiesce and send someone to complete some work, they have once again ceased work.  The time spent over three days last week was to repair work that the previous crew had left, but the final stage of the project remains incomplete.  GSB delayed ordering parts and will not resume work or resume repairs for approximately 2 weeks.  b.  The business admitted that our complaint was reasonable.  She (Ms. M[redacted] knows exactly why we filed the complaint, including their 8-week abandonment of the project.  c.  At no point did I indicate that I would call to have the complaint removed.  d.  The money owed is the final balance (5% of the total balance), that is due only upon completion of the work. 2.  There are five instances of violations of the terms of the contract a.  Missing the end date of March 2 for completion of the project  b.  Installing standard insulation rather than soundproofing in the bathroom walls as contracted because it would be too expensive for them  c.  Failing to install a custom shower pan in the master shower as contracted because it would be too expensive for them.  Instead, they laid poorly poured concrete, which has resulted in an uneven and hazardous shower floor that they have refused to remedy.  d.  Forcing us to switch the shower hardware/trim to be installed in the master bathroom to a less expensive model than what we contracted and paid for, without providing a refund for the difference.  e.  Declining to supply shower hardware/trim for the hallway bathroom even though we contracted and paid for those materials, and forcing us to provide and pay for the materials without providing a refund for the cost. To date, they remain uncommitted to completing the work in a reasonable amount of time (we are nearly two months past the contracted deadline), and the quality of the work has been subpar, typically requiring repairs.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:1) I acknowledged that the leak was due to a manufacture's defect. My complaint centered around the number of days between visits to try and resolve the leak. So much time was lost because there was no sense of urgency to resolve the problem.2)Maria's definition of 'finished' is unique. Finished is complete. The bathroom is not finished. The paints has been here since mid July. It was here when Maria visited to see the damage caused when the tile was installed. Maybe Maria will remember I showed her the can of paint I purchased when she told me how wrong the color was for the tile. She is correct that I did not have the mirror at that time because I didn't expect them to hang a mirror before painting the room.  The mirror has been here almost.  two weeks waiting to be hung.  I begged Maria to send someone to hang the mirror because when they demo'd the master bathroom, I now have no where to do my hair or makeup. I asked Maria how she would feel if she didn't have a bathroom in which to do her hair/makeup and her response was that she doesn't do her hair/makeup in the bathroom.4) there is no debate on this one. Maria knows I have a picture of the vanity I selected and it is not the one that was installed. This is just not open to opinion.  5)Start Date 7/20.  This was only because of rescheduling by Gold Standard. Original date was early June but the person didn't show up and my start date kept being pushed out by Gold Standard.  That may be the date they started but that was not the original date.. it was the date they finally kept.

[redacted] HAS SENT THIS TO Revdex.com PREMATURELY. THEY WERE UPSET ABOUT THE FACT THAT BATHROOM COULD NOT GET DONE WHEN THEY WERE HAVING FAMILY OVER FOR CHRISTMAS. [redacted] AND HIS WIFE CAME TO OUR OFFICE NOVEMBER 29, 2017 TO LET US KNOW ABOUT CHANGES THEY WANTED TO MAKE. (ALL CONVERSATIONS IN OUR OFFICE...

ARE RECORDED AND PROPER DOCUMENTATION IS UP AROUND OFFICE NOTIFYING OF THAT) WE SHOWED THEM OTHER VANITY OPTIONS IN WHICH THEY CHOSE AND MADE A FINAL DECISION. WE ORDERED THE VANITY AFTER THEY APPROVED AND PAID EXTRA WITH CHANGE ORDER AGREEMENT. DATE VANITY WAS ORDERED WAS NOVEMBER 30, 2017. WE RECEIVED CONFIRMATION FROM MANUFACTURER THAT DUE TO WILD FIRES IN CALIFORNIA, THAT SHIPPING WOULD BE DELAYED. WE RELAYED THIS MESSAGE TO THE CUSTOMER AND SHOWED THEM OTHER VANITIES THAT WE CAN GET RIGHT AWAY. THEY SAID THEY WANTED THE VANITY THEY PICKED OUT. WE FINALLY RECEIVED CONFIRMATION THAT VANITY WOULD BE DELIVERED TO US FROM SHIPPING COMPANY JANUARY 8TH. ONCE RECEIVED WE INSTALLED AND FINISHED PROJECT. THERE WAS ISSUES WITH MATERIAL THAT THEY PICKED OUT THAT WAS OUT OF OUR CONTROL. WE DO NOT MAKE THE PRODUCTS, WE SHOW CUSTOMERS, THEY PICK OUT, AND WE PURCHASE FOR THEM ONCE WE HAVE APPROVALS. UNFORTUNATELY, WE CANT CONTROL MANUFACTURES OR NATURAL DISASTERS (WILDFIRES IN CALIFORNIA) 2. ORIGINALLY, [redacted] AND HIS WIFE WERE IN CONTRACT FOR A CORNER JACUZZI. ON 6/23/2017, THEY REQUESTED OUR PRESENCE AT THERE HOUSE TO GO OVER CHANGES. THEY REQUESTED TO HAVE A FREESTANDING TUB WITH AIR JETS. THEY PICKED OUT A TUB FROM SIGNATURE HARDWARE WITH ALL DIMENSIONS. THEY APPROVED AND GAVE US PAYMENT FOR THE DIFFERENCE FOR THIS TUB AND FAUCET. ONCE ALL INSPECTIONS WERE COMPLETED WITH TOWNSHIP, SHEETROCK, TILE, ETC, WERE COMPLETED, WE WERE ABLE TO START FINISHES. TUB WAS DELIVERED TO [redacted]S HOUSE DECEMBER 11, 2017 IN WHICH WE HAD PLUMBERS AND ELECTRICIANS ON SITE TO INSTALL. [redacted] INFORMED US THAT THE TUB THEY PICKED OUT WAS NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR THEM AND IT LOOKED LIKE A BIRD BATH. TUB WAS 68" LONG AND COST $3500 DOLLARS. WE INFORMED CUSTOMER THAT THIS WAS A SPECIAL ORDER TUB AND WE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO RETURN IT. THEY WANTED TO LOOK AT DIFFERENT OPTIONS. FOR WEEKS, THEY WOULD SEND US PICTURES OF OTHER FREESTANDING TUBS THAT WERE SIMILAR IN SIZE. WE TOLD THEM THAT THE SIZES ARE THE SAME. THEY FINALLY SENT US AN EMAIL ON JANUARY 5, 2018 THAT THEY WANTED TO MOVE AHEAD WITH THE TUB THEY PICKED OUT. WE SENT OUR PLUMBERS AND ELECTRICIANS BACK ON SITE TO INSTALL. WE DID NOT CHARGE HIM ANY ADDITIONAL FOR THE DELAYS AND INCONVIENENCE HE HAD CAUSED. TUB WAS FINALLY INSTALLED AND IS IN WORKING ORDER. (SEE PHOTO) AGAIN, THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED AND TUB WOULD HAVE BEEN INSTALLED, IF [redacted] DID NOT CHANGE HIS MIND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. WE HAVE MANY EMAILS AND TEXT MESSAGES SHOWING THAT THE CHANGES WERE ALWAYS COMING. 3. WITHOUT THE HELP OF [redacted] GIVING US DIRECTION ON WHICH WAY HE WANTED TO GO WITH FIXTURES AND MATERIAL, WE WERE UNABLE TO FINISH THE PROJECT. AS PER THE EMAIL ON JANUARY 5TH, 2018, HE FINALLY GAVE US THE FULL AUTHORITY TO FINISH THE PROJECT WITH EVERYTHING HE ORDERED. HE ASKED IF WE COULD PLEASE EXPEDITE HIS PROJECT AND FINISH BY JANUARY 12 2018 AS HIM AND HIS WIFE WERE TRAVELING TO INDIA. WE COMPLETED HIS PROJECT WITHIN HIS TIME FRAME AND WE COLLECTED A FINAL CHECK FROM HIM DATED JANUARY 11, 2018. 4. IF YOU WOULD LIKE ANY EMAILS OR ANY DOCUMENTATION THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED FROM [redacted] PLEASE LET US KNOW. WE HAVE PLENTY OF CORESPONDENTS FROM [redacted]. 5. ONE OF [redacted]S EMAIL TO US. Kenny Jr. I agree With you and you agreed with us . Vanity , shower door and tub is here or in your possession . So lets finish this job amicably and get it over.  [redacted]

To Whom it may concern;                               Primarily We at Gold Standard have made every effort to complete this project due to unfortunate issues such as flooding in Hall Bath, Architectural, and Weather (beyond our control) we surpassed the expected compleation date. Project is in compleation as we await second set of shower doors (special order), initial set had a chip and we returned them. [redacted] requested a specific installer to complete the project therefor further delaying compleation.  Please note that [redacted] has sent me a text stating he was satisfied with the work and I personally spoke with [redacted] and forwarded the invoice on the new shower doors to him ,having them delivered to his residence rather than our warehouse , the doors are the originally agreed upon doors as written in his contract. The sub par work he speaks of is the custom shower pan with mosaic tile , custom shower pans are poured cement pitched to the drain they are manmade and not machine fabricated therefor there may be some slight variations, the pan was inspected and approved by township. The 2 Baths as well as all doors and lighting installed are functional and beautiful. We will complete this project (install shower doors and shower trim)  as soon as the shower doors are delivered .

We have been there every day fixing punch list after punch list. Don’t know where this is coming from not do we know why. Homeowner also stated he would be calling to remove this once his numerous punch list are complete[redacted] still owes money on this contract.
