asked that I be allowed time to provide an estimateShe asked if I could give her a "ghost guest" on what shed pay minimum and I informed here shed pay minimum 8kOnce I told her this her whole song changed and at that point I should Have refused this JobShe played on me using Black solidity and racial approaches to guilt me into helping her and promised send good business my way so I agreed as My company was new and need GOOD customer referrals [redacted] gave me $not $3,firstly secondly This was a deposit against labor only as she charged everything to a HD line of creditAny contractor knows all materials can never be purchased prior to a job as something unexpected always comesThe unexpected this are usually small and most contractors will usually just inform the client and purchase themselves with receipt as proofThe many trips [redacted] speaks of is based on the fact She showed up to HD were we were to meet hours late then got hungry and demanded to leave to eat as we ran out and compound as she didn't have "time" to stay and get the day we were thereThis woman literally accused me of attempting to get over for "ONE SMALL (NOT EVEN LARGE) but a small $bucket of compound Usually the client is always rightI went above and beyond to assist This woman even more so as she had lost her husbandI placed ALL the CABINETRY in place and it had to be corrected as it fit exactly into place where the cabinets I removed sat with plumbing, corners and counter-top exactI support the wall cabinetry weight with tracks to reinforced the supportI closed off all her dozens of mice and rat holes in her her apartment the entire time which me and my employees ducked roaches and water bugsI never once complained of showed this woman ill willI gave her additional Outlets for Free and the "dangerous wire" that was left out was within code as it was less than 6"Additionally I was never give a chance to complete the project because my father died and I had to leave for FloridaI contact [redacted] and she offered my fake sympathy and told me We speak when I returnedShe didn't complain about thing I created a custom concrete counter-top for herShe , in her emotionally Counter top using Marble tiles as her counter surface as the concrete had only being curing for days and was in danger of crackingShe insisted on the counter-top of concrete and on our attempt to remove supports it crackedI provide High quality in all I do and refused to give this woman the counter-top cracked as it was NOT PERFECTI offer to recast on siteShe refused the temp counter top refused it after the counter top of concrete cracked and demand the cracked concrete counter-top be placed in her kitchen and threatened me with lander if I didn't because she knew I had a project in the building I would loseAgainst my better judgement I gave her the counter-topI did all this prior to leaving for Miami for my fathers funeral which this woman knew and confirmed with meYet when I returned and requested payment I was told I had did so much wrong yet she had NO LICENSED contractor come in but uneducated neighborhood losers who have no professional training and hold NO LICENSES whatsoeverHad she bothered to call a licensed electrician she would have realized that the work was correct My quote was for labor with NO margin for the business as I actually foolishly believed that I was helping a woman who Honestly needed it considering her late husband died days into the projectI wasn't even gonna charge her the inter balance as I felt it was wrongnot to mention she was not charge for a major ceiling leak repair, additional outlets placed in her kitchen, the sealing of the dozens of rodent holes in here home or the additional cleanup that would be involved in a roach infested apartmentI attempt to keep this woman ahead of schedule and competed faster by purchasing whatever may be needed to complete a task or a run out as I didn't over estimate materials as I normally would because she cried how poor she was once she realized it took more than words to redo a kitchenI spent $on labor which is $more than she gave me which means I took the lossI can verify all I say with text, emails and pictures of this woman Kitchen that were taken up until the day she and I last meet Face to face in her Kitchen before I left for my fathers funeral Also back tracking to the materials she claims she had to go back to repurchaseThe truth is She went to pick out the gas Washer dryer combo she was originally suppose to buy the first day we wentI was to have the 220v outlet installed and we needed to know the EXACT machine for the plugConsidering this happened on the first trip, I and she agreed we'd wait til we returned to get all the needed electrical suppliesI, in an attempt to spread the project as I was ahead of schedule by the [redacted] say, purchased them for her because she worked a 9-6pm full time job and I was attempting to make this as smooth as possible for herThese materials were less than I believe $but once she complained about the $for compound and nails I returned them and waited for her to purchase as I wanted no more troubles with herShe had been becoming increasing more irradiate and nasty, I cannot say this is her as it could have been caused by her lossHer sister as she mentioned actually asked me to tolerate her as she was going through o much She also Had her brother come to my office in an attempt to intimidate me for the $bill for the nails and compoundThis client was responsible for ALL MATERIALS NOT OTHERWISE STATED by the agreementAll material included nails, compound and whatever was needed for this project that Gold Standard Contracting did not agree to cover itselfThose materials for her included Nails and compound and ALL NAILS AND COMPOUND NEEDEDAgain, I did not add extras to her order as she complained about affording it and asked for bare essentialsJust because all the compound was used on her apologized for her ignorance but again attributed to the stress of her lossI accepted that and continued to do my part to ease that stress and remove myself from the woman home and life before I became anymore of the punching bag she had positioned me to beI refuse to give her anything as I aim actually owed Monies by herIf her Licensed CONTRACTOR submitted a report we will review itWe will not even acknowledge the report of the unlicensed uninsured professional she claims is a contractorHe is not a contractor without a tax id, Workers Compensation or a license #If a licensed electrician claimed anything was wrong I demanded written proof that was never given because there was no licensed electrician We completely deny this claim as factual and will submit all text and email between the client and company to substantiate she is a liarIt is unfortunate as we aim for no negativity in any encounters we have and strive to make our clients happyShe was never refused, She was never Clayton is no longer allowed to work on the tenants' apartment, because he fouled up another occupants' apartmentIf Clayton went above and beyond as he mentioned, my kitchen would be renovatedInstead he left exposed wires, putting my family and the entire building at riskHe laid floors on top of mold, He put nails in my floors that only required connection, not nailsHe left big holes in the walls causing me to by extra material to redo themHe put nails in wires to hole the wires in place (which could have caused sparks)He broke the pipe to my sink which caused my cabinet to swell from the broken pipeI have pictures to authenticate my claimsI did not have to guilty Clayton into renovating my kitchen, as he was motivated by moneyClayton was unprofessional: he did not show up as promised, and he allowed other people to do the work instead of himI am not sure if the workers were license contractorsClayton may have been licensed, but I doubt his workers wereClayton has made statements like "* ** *** *** *** ** ** *** ***" therefore allowing undocumented workers to renovate my kitchenDue to Clayton not arriving to complete the renovations, the renovations were not done in a timely mannerClayton did not inform me that his father passed awayOn March ** at 7:am I received a text stating "*** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** ** ** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** ***" He did not make any arrangements to have the work completed before he went to FloridaAs a result, I informed him that he has to wrap up at this time and I will find someone else to complete the projectI was not able to use my kitchen because of the damage he leftClayton increased the price on the materials he purchasedFor example, he charged me nineteen dollars for a seven dollar bucket of compoundMy house is not infested with rodents or insectsMy brother did not come into his business nor is he a "gangster." However,he witnessed Clayton exaggerating the prices on materials such as nails and compoundThe face is that my husband died and Clayton attempted to take advantage of me, while I was in the vulnerable state of mourning my spouseI completely deny Clayton statements as factualI am willing to submit documentations to corroborate my claimIt is unfortunate that a Black business will attempt to hoodwink his own peopleClayton was kicked out of another occupants' home because he was not doing the work as promisedIn a fit or rage, Clayton poured cement down the occupants' drainDoes this sounds like a business man or a "gangster?" This Complaint is a complete Lie created by a delusional woman who defrauded my company and refused to pay due to her own financial issues cause by the death of her husband. She contacted me requesting a complete kitchen Renovation. She talked big...
about how she wanted so much and would be able to handle the financial obligation the work would require.This woman has been a liar since inception. When we originally meet I was introduced to her by the buildings Superintendent. Immediately I knew this woman was a not financial solid as she claimed by [redacted] she lived in I, in an attempt to be professional and create relationships entertained her talk about the marble flooring and Brazilian cabinetry she requested. I took measurements and asked that I be allowed time to provide an estimate. She asked if I could give her a "ghost guest" on what shed pay minimum and I informed here shed pay minimum 8k. Once I told her this her whole song changed and at that point I should Have refused this Job. She played on me using Black solidity and racial approaches to guilt me into helping her and promised send good business my way so I agreed as My company was new and need GOOD customer referrals.
[redacted] gave me $2500 not $3,000 firstly secondly This was a deposit against labor only as she charged everything to a HD line of credit. Any contractor knows all materials can never be purchased prior to a job as something unexpected always comes. The unexpected this are usually small and most contractors will usually just inform the client and purchase themselves with receipt as proof. The many trips [redacted] speaks of is based on the fact She showed up to HD were we were to meet 2 hours late then got hungry and demanded to leave to eat as she was a "[redacted] - her words. I patiently waited with this woman for hours, I purchased her materials from my own pocket and it was like it was hundreds of dollars - It was a box of more nails as we ran out and compound as she didn't have "time" to stay and get the day we were there. This woman literally accused me of attempting to get over for "ONE SMALL (NOT EVEN LARGE) but a small $7 bucket of compound.
Usually the client is always right. I went above and beyond to assist This woman even more so as she had lost her husband. I placed ALL the CABINETRY in place and it had to be corrected as it fit exactly into place where the cabinets I removed sat with plumbing, corners and counter-top exact. I support the wall cabinetry weight with tracks to reinforced the support. I closed off all her dozens of mice and rat holes in her her apartment the entire time which me and my employees ducked roaches and water bugs. I never once complained of showed this woman ill will. I gave her additional Outlets for Free and the "dangerous wire" that was left out was within code as it was less than 6". Additionally I was never give a chance to complete the project because my father died and I had to leave for Florida. I contact [redacted] and she offered my fake sympathy and told me We speak when I returned. She didn't complain about 1 thing.
I created a custom concrete counter-top for her. She , in her emotionally distraught stated due to her loss, Demanded I complete faster than quoted because she needed to entertain guest for the funeral procession. In an attempt to accommodate her I offer to create a "temp" Counter top using Marble tiles as her counter surface as the concrete had only being curing for 3 days and was in danger of cracking. She insisted on the counter-top of concrete and on our attempt to remove supports it cracked. I provide High quality in all I do and refused to give this woman the counter-top cracked as it was NOT PERFECT. I offer to recast on site. She refused the temp counter top refused it after the counter top of concrete cracked and demand the cracked concrete counter-top be placed in her kitchen and threatened me with lander if I didn't because she knew I had a project in the building I would lose. Against my better judgement I gave her the counter-top. I did all this prior to leaving for Miami for my fathers funeral which this woman knew and confirmed with me. Yet when I returned and requested payment I was told I had did so much wrong yet she had NO LICENSED contractor come in but uneducated neighborhood losers who have no professional training and hold NO LICENSES whatsoever. Had she bothered to call a licensed electrician she would have realized that the work was correct.
My quote was for labor with NO margin for the business as I actually foolishly believed that I was helping a woman who Honestly needed it considering her late husband died 2 days into the project. I wasn't even gonna charge her the inter balance as I felt it was wrong. not to mention she was not charge for a major ceiling leak repair, 3 additional outlets placed in her kitchen, the sealing of the dozens of rodent holes in here home or the additional cleanup that would be involved in a roach infested apartment. I attempt to keep this woman ahead of schedule and competed faster by purchasing whatever may be needed to complete a task or a run out as I didn't over estimate materials as I normally would because she cried how poor she was once she realized it took more than words to redo a kitchen. I spent $3300 on labor which is $800 more than she gave me which means I took the loss. I can verify all I say with text, emails and pictures of this woman Kitchen that were taken up until the day she and I last meet Face to face in her Kitchen before I left for my fathers funeral. Also back tracking to the materials she claims she had to go back to repurchase. The truth is She went to pick out the gas Washer dryer combo she was originally suppose to buy the first day we went. I was to have the 220v outlet installed and we needed to know the EXACT machine for the plug. Considering this happened on the first trip, I and she agreed we'd wait til we returned to get all the needed electrical supplies. I, in an attempt to spread the project as I was ahead of schedule by the [redacted] say, purchased them for her because she worked a 9-6pm full time job and I was attempting to make this as smooth as possible for her. These materials were less than I believe $80 but once she complained about the $22 for compound and nails I returned them and waited for her to purchase as I wanted no more troubles with her. She had been becoming increasing more irradiate and nasty, I cannot say this is her as it could have been caused by her loss. Her sister as she mentioned actually asked me to tolerate her as she was going through o much. She also Had her brother come to my office in an attempt to intimidate me for the $22 bill for the nails and compound. This client was responsible for ALL MATERIALS NOT OTHERWISE STATED by the agreement. All material included nails, compound and whatever was needed for this project that Gold Standard Contracting did not agree to cover itself. Those materials for her included Nails and compound and ALL NAILS AND COMPOUND NEEDED. Again, I did not add extras to her order as she complained about affording it and asked for bare essentials. Just because all the compound was used on her project didn't make me liable to purchase more as the materials were her expense. This is simple enough for the average person but this woman had immense trouble understanding that. She actually expected me to use my nails and compound I had left over in my office from jobs were I purchased it before her and I was unwilling to give her anything else after how I was treated. Her brother came in telling me how he was the "[redacted]" to which I patiently and earnestly explained in detail what the agreement stated and how was responsible for what. He, unlike his sister understood totally and apologized for her ignorance but again attributed to the stress of her loss. I accepted that and continued to do my part to ease that stress and remove myself from the woman home and life before I became anymore of the punching bag she had positioned me to be. I refuse to give her anything as I aim actually owed Monies by her. If her Licensed CONTRACTOR submitted a report we will review it. We will not even acknowledge the report of the unlicensed uninsured professional she claims is a contractor. He is not a contractor without a tax id, Workers Compensation or a license #. If a licensed electrician claimed anything was wrong I demanded written proof that was never given because there was no licensed electrician. We completely deny this claim as factual and will submit all text and email between the client and company to substantiate she is a liar. It is unfortunate as we aim for no negativity in any encounters we have and strive to make our clients happy. She was never refused, She was never ducked or given the run around. She was dealt with with the highest degree of curiosity and respect and we begged to accommodate her of anything she claimed was wrong. The fraudulent complaint she has filed is insulting and pathetic and again this clients own emails and text will be her undoing
