Review: This company advertises that it has jobs for security guards. Upon interview, they ask for money and then tell you, you have to take a required course in order to begin job placement. They charge you for the course which is labeled "Loss Prevention/Metal Detection" and they do not teach you anything about Loss prevention or metal detection. They then give you a certificate and when you return to the office for job placement, they send you to another location which does not deal with job placement. They misrepresent themselves in order to get funds out of unemployed people looking for work and they do not do one thing they say they will do.Desired Settlement: I want this company to be investigated and shut down and I would like a refund of all my funds. They are taking advantaged of unemployed people. I have my receipts.

Review: This company is posting misleading ads in the "classified" section of the AMNEWYORK newspaper offering Front Desk Attendant and Front Desk Security jobs paying up to $800.00/week or $22.00/hour with training provided. They have posted the following phone numbers on the ads dated September *, 2013:[redacted] and *###-###-####. When I called, they told me all I needed to do to get started was to bring the following documents: Photo ID, Social Security card, Resume and $75.00 for the uniform (Training would be provided. In the event things would not work out well, the $75.00 would be reimbursed. To make it real, they asked me my shift preferences (AM, PM or Night) and also if I would mind to work on high floors ([redacted] floor or above). Once they cashed the $75.00 they told me I needed to undergo a Security Training for an additional $225.00. As I was desperate to get a job, I gave them the $225.00, cash. We signed a contract for LIFETIME FREE JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE. By the time I completed the training (scheduled for two weeks later), they had moved their office. From what I heard they even have changed the name of their company. When I called them, they refused to give me their new address but asked me to go to where I signed up for the training (i.e. [redacted] between [redacted] & [redacted]. on the [redacted] floor). when I went there, I found a lot a people lining up. We were all given a paper with three (3) addresses of companies that were hiring. In fact these companies were just receiving applications, they were NOT hiring. Furthermore the salaries they were offering were below $10.00/hr. When I called them back using a pseudo telling them I was looking for a job, they immediately gave me their new address (i.e. [redacted] and asked me to bring $75.00 the next day along with my ID, SS card and resume. I did not go to that appointment as I just wanted their new address. They are using the following phone numbers in addition to the above: ###-###-####/###-###-####/###-###-####Desired Settlement: I contacted this company (Gold Standard Service Group) on the basis of the two Ads they posted on September *, 2013 promising $800.00/week and 22.00/hour. Instead of paying $75.00 I ended up paying $300.00 and have still not got a job. All I need now is that this company respect the terms of their Ads and place me in a company that will pay me $800.00/week or $22.00/hr. If they are unable to make placements in positions paying $800.00/week or $22.00/hour, they should stop putting such Ads.
